#9009 My Old Bow N Arrow

Posted by MAC on 01 September 2003 - 07:26 PM in Modifications

Before I found out about "modded" guns, my friends and I would just have indoor nerf wars with unmodded guns. One war, I was using my bow, and the bottom handle broke off. I tried hot glueing it, but it dosnt just come right off. Is thier a way to get it back on such as a nail or sumthing? Thanx

#42290 New Lanard Gun

Posted by MAC on 23 November 2004 - 06:37 PM in General Nerf

At kmart today i found what i think to be a new gun because i cant seem to find any topics on it.

Its a large pump gun called the "Big Salvo" which shoots 4 arrows eather 1 at a time or all at once. It claims to shoot 45 feet on 10 pumps, which is true because i tried it. I havnt opened it up yet, but it seems to be modable. Ill try to get pics soon. If this gun is already known about you can close this topic.

#16689 Multi Barrel 750

Posted by MAC on 19 January 2004 - 05:30 PM in Modifications

I had a random Air Tech 2000 barrel sitting around, so i decieded to put it onto my sm 750 pistol to increase its ROF. With some 17/32 brass, it gets about 70-80, and its accurate, however their is is a small problem. The trigger is extreamly hard to pull, so its hard to get a quick shot off. I tried the BIC pen trigger pull mod, but it did not help very much. Has anyone else had this problem with their 750, and what can i do. Thanx

#71538 Stefan Trouble

Posted by MAC on 23 January 2006 - 02:46 PM in General Nerf

You have 2 options

1) buy a different brand of FBR and hope it fits

2) use brass barrels...cpvc is tighter than brass (17/32)

#12305 Expand A Blast

Posted by MAC on 03 November 2003 - 08:48 PM in Modifications

TOpic is extremely old, and so old that I forgot that I had asked it, and was about to reply to the person that i had the same problem until I switched the barrel to brass, until I realized it was me who asked the question.
Dont bring up old topics

#12686 Modding At2k Multi

Posted by MAC on 10 November 2003 - 07:52 PM in Modifications

just pull out the barrels at the line, but if they dont come out easily, cut right below the line. CPVC works great, but you have to sand down the end for it to fit into the barrel holder.

#9234 Y Does Everyone Favor Single Barrel

Posted by MAC on 04 September 2003 - 07:37 PM in Modifications

I have seen so many posts where people are showing off thier new single barrel gun, and saying how great it is. From all the nerf wars I have played with my friends, i have found that multi barrel guns are much better. For example. The normal gun i use in a nerf war is my 4 barreled At2000. Most of my other friends use single barrel max shots and at3000. I am usually the winner, because after they fire one shot at me and miss, i rush them while they reload thier only barrel, and i hit them with one of my 4 barrels. So tell me, why is everyone telling people that single barrels is the way to go?

#10635 How To Make A Holster

Posted by MAC on 28 September 2003 - 07:14 PM in General Nerf

#117650 Old Video

Posted by MAC on 30 July 2007 - 04:18 PM in General Nerf

So I was looking through old videos and came across a nerf war I had in my basement back in the day. One clip I found was amazing so I had to post it. My friend shoots his little brother in the face with a maxshot from about 5 feet away.

#10422 Expand A Blast

Posted by MAC on 25 September 2003 - 08:04 PM in Modifications

I tried to modify my expandablast, but it only shoots about 20 feet.

What I did was remove all the usless extra stuff, then i glued 2 pvc cuplers to a 8 inch piece of cpvc, then shoved it down the barrel untill it was snug. I then bought a new spring, but it would not catch so i had to use the old one. I put the gun back together, added some ruberbands, and tried it but was very dissapointed. With no dart in it, when i put my had infront of the barrel and shoot, i can feel tons of air comming out, but it dosnt shoot the dart very far. Am i using the wrong type of barrel? Should i use brass instead?
Thanx

#9646 Anyone Have Pic Of Internals Of Sm 5000

Posted by MAC on 14 September 2003 - 10:31 AM in General Nerf

I took apart my supermaxx 5000, but everything fell out, and i can figure out how to put the little black plastic piece back in which makes the gun fire. does anyone have a picture of the internals of a supermaxx 5000 unmodded?
Thanx

#20291 At2k Pumps

Posted by MAC on 29 February 2004 - 05:19 PM in General Nerf

hey the same thing happened to me. You are pumping it to much, and when you pull hte triger back it does not allow all the air to come out. 5 pumps is more than enough.

#18993 Pom-pom Stefans

Posted by MAC on 14 February 2004 - 10:22 AM in General Nerf

I made a new bullet that flies just as far as my normal stefans, and it dosnt hurt anywhere near as much.
I got a small pom pom, and on the back of it i glued a 1/4 slingshot ammo. I then made a large hole in one tip of the stefan, and glued the pompom and slingshot ammo into it. It does not hurt nearly as bad as a normal stefan, and it flies just as far. Ill try to post pics later today.

Has anyone else done this before?

Edit...the new darts still hurt, but not nearly as bad as others do.

#9840 Anyone Have Pic Of Internals Of Sm 5000

Posted by MAC on 17 September 2003 - 07:40 PM in General Nerf

Heyyyy thanx for the encourgament.......actually your the one who is wrong, becuase i was asking for a pic of the internals of an unmodded SM 5000, and the only pic's they have on this site, and all the other nerf sites i know, are the internals of one already modded.

#9954 Anyone Have Pic Of Internals Of Sm 5000

Posted by MAC on 18 September 2003 - 05:59 PM in General Nerf

yes i know exactly where everything goes, except one piece. It is the small black piece that goes on a metal rod. When you pull the trigger it moves the piece which fires the gun. I cant figure out how the black thing goes back in.

#9011 Max Shot

Posted by MAC on 01 September 2003 - 07:43 PM in Modifications

I have been wanting to make the combo of At 2000 4 barrel as my pistol, and a single barrel max shot as my loser. The At 2000 turned out great, getting around
70ft. The max shot only gets around 60 feet tho, and i was told it should be much better than that. Wat i did was pry off the red top, and then buy a cpvc 1/2 cupler, which fit snug on the white tube, which i didnt saw at all. After that it measured 3 inches. I then cut a 9 inch piece of cpvc, and stuck it in the cupler. To load it, all i do is pulll out the cpvc, and load the dart in, then jam the cpvc back in. Did I modd this right, or is thier sumthing i can do to get the range everyone is is telling me they get. around 90 feet.
Thanx

#45355 My First Homade

Posted by MAC on 02 January 2005 - 03:15 PM in Homemades

If you make a pump in that way, you'll need to use two check valves. One check valve prevents air from going back out into the open air and the second keeps it pumped into your pressure chamber. I'm surprised a design like that pumps air at all. I'd suggest buying real check valves

I'd also slap a real barrel on this gun (cut off between the two check valves and add a coupler). You'll need a pretty long barrel to work correctly on a ball valve. That might mean you should make your air chamber bigger. If you intend on keeping the ball valve trigger, I'd try some way to grease it or otherwise make it open faster.

Good for a first homemade I suppose.

I am using a "real check valve"
Its a fishtank one that fits perfectly inside of 1/2 pvc and makes an airtight seal. I don't need two.
I do have a barrel but i just removed it. It fits inside of the valve because the end of the valve acts as a coupler.

#45222 My First Homade

Posted by MAC on 31 December 2004 - 01:39 PM in Homemades

What do you think of my first homade?
I tried the two valve system, but it suked so i just use one of the valves now.
I put a checkvalve in the pvc and use a sm1500 pump. It takes about 40 pumps to make it shoot real far. Should i make the air tank smaller so that it has more pressure?

#15522 Sm 5000 Help

Posted by MAC on 02 January 2004 - 06:31 PM in Modifications

I did the SM 5000 barrel relocation mod, and when i shortened the air tubeing, it now leaks from the connection when I pump it. What should I use to get an air tight seal. My hot glue is not working. I've heard plumbers goop is good. Is it sold at a local hardware store, or are their better types of airtight glues?
Thanx

#10279 By 2 Get One Free

Posted by MAC on 23 September 2003 - 06:34 PM in General Nerf

I went to my local toysrus because i was told they were having a sale. By two nerf guns get one free. I went, and I decided to buy a tech target gun and an at2000. I wasnt sure what get for free, so i looked around, and in the back of the shelf i saw a gun called the tripple strike made by nerf, and it looked perty old because on the back of it it had pic's of a screat strike II, and some other silver gun. Is this gun any good? Thanx

#21383 New Barrel Type Good Results

Posted by MAC on 15 March 2004 - 08:07 PM in Modifications

I purchesed some 1/2 inch clear airline tubeing, and it fit tightly into 1/2inch pvc that straightened it out. I put a 6 inch piece onto an at2000, and i am getting amazing results. It shoots micros almost 120 feet, with great voicity. From about 40 feet away, it broak through a glass window

Ill try to post pics soon

#9567 How To Straighten Stefans

Posted by MAC on 10 September 2003 - 06:46 PM in General Nerf

I have heard different ways to straighten stefans such as putting them in the washer or drying them with a hair dryer or sumthing, but what is the best way to straighten a piece of foam backer rod?

#20879 Most Interesting 1500 Break I've Seen

Posted by MAC on 07 March 2004 - 06:55 PM in Modifications

hey the same thing happened with one of my sm 1500. All i did was stick some hot glue onto the end that i had left and quickly put it down into the pump. After it dried i pulled both pieces out.

#35223 Maxshot Difficulties

Posted by MAC on 25 August 2004 - 09:23 PM in Modifications

Ahh the exact same thing happened to mine. Open it up, and you will see a small white piece that holds the plunger when it is pulled back, and when the gun is shot the trigger pushed this white piece down. This piece has a little spring that pushed it up allowing it to hold onto the plunger as it is pulled back. The spring on it probably broke. It happened to me so what i did was take a normal spring and put it under the white piece to hold it up.

(this might be confuesing because it is hard to explain)

#23932 My Max Shot Is Cracking Up

Posted by MAC on 10 April 2004 - 07:01 PM in Modifications

Wow the exact thing happened to mine. I hotglued it back on then loaded it up with ductape and it worked fine. Then like a month later the cocking handle broke where it pulls up the white thing in the gun, and i had to trash it. I think the plastic of the maxshot is very cheap.
