It might be ur foam backer rod. Mines fits good in 9/16. If you can find it get some 17/32 brass. The minute difference may actually increase the distance of your shot ten fold. It all depends on your FBR.

Dark, 9/16 is the outer diameter,17/32 is the ID and not all fbr is 1/2", it varies between brands. If 17/32" brass doesn't work keep going down sizes till it fits, then get a size smaller than that for the constriction.

And as everyone knows, money makes the world go round. It's also the root of all evil, therefore the world going round is evil, and we should stop the rotation of the planet.

Ok.

1/2inch stefans = 1/2inch = 16/32inch

17/32inch is < 9/16ths by a 32s inch.

True and true.

What relevance, exactly?

A (precisely) 1/2" piece of FBR generally fits quite well in 9/16" (17/32" ID) brass because the minor surface inconsistencies and slight curvature of the FBR causes it to stick just enough to stay in the tubing but not enough to slow it down when you fire. If your darts fall straight through 9/16" tubing then they are probably slightly under 1/2". OMC and flamebo have both given the correct solution to this problem.
