#255824 Recon Cs-6 And Ertl Rapid Fire Shot Gun Mod

Posted by wingd man on 09 November 2009 - 08:40 PM in Modifications

Just a thought, but maybe you should reinforce that recon bolt sled, we wouldn't want it breaking while in the middle of pwning some nuib ass right?

So here's the cool thing about this gun: the PAS grip cocks the gun and works the breech. So the load is almost entirely removed from the Recon bolt sled, and one does not have to fret or worry about flimsy plastic snapping in the middle of a Nerf encounter.

That is the most bad ass piece of ABS I have ever seen.

One word: Macro button.

Oh, and nice socks.

I also think that this seems unstable, but if you say so, I've been wrong before.

#255081 Happy Birthday Forsaken_angel24!

Maybe they'll let you back into heaven for a day...

#255079 Happy Halloween.

Posted by wingd man on 01 November 2009 - 01:41 PM in Off Topic

Brought a singled 3K for a spaceman spiff costume, just because of one quote:

I used an at2k to power this thing, and tried to make it as small as possible by removing most of the Spaceman Spiff aspect of the gun. I love Spaceman Spiff, but hey, I'll make a death blaster later.

#254996 A Concept For A Rotory-barreled Titan.

Posted by wingd man on 31 October 2009 - 11:15 AM in Homemades

Not to rain on your parade, but look at this.

That has all the plans, all the materials, and everything planned out perfectly. Yet still nobody has made it. This is proof that these threads never get anywhere. Ever.

#254393 Rearloading 2k Turrets

Posted by wingd man on 23 October 2009 - 05:52 PM in Modifications

Actually, no. I would recommend a regular bit if you can afford it and/or don't already have a spade. They fit okay, they just cost like $20.

#254333 Happy B-day To Groove!

Damn right!

Happy birthday Groove!

For the record, though, it's not for two days.

#253923 Adjustable Homemade Oprv

Posted by wingd man on 19 October 2009 - 08:51 AM in Homemades

You mean because the pressure from the second tank pushes the ball bearing back so it increases the cracking pressure?

So if you were to do it with, say, a titan, then an AT2K, and then a hornet tank, it might work?

#253871 Adjustable Homemade Oprv

Posted by wingd man on 18 October 2009 - 07:35 PM in Homemades

Sorry if I didn't explain well, but that was the idea.

#253854 Adjustable Homemade Oprv

Posted by wingd man on 18 October 2009 - 05:42 PM in Homemades

Wow. Why aren't you a Contributor yet?

This gives me an idea though, say you wanted to have a split fire, but with 2Ks. If you were to attach one 2K to an OP, with the "dump" end attached to another 2K, you could pump one up without the other if you wanted, but could also pump both up for a 2-shot effect.

#253231 Tek 6 Barrel Replacement

Posted by wingd man on 11 October 2009 - 09:25 AM in Modifications

Although the new turrets are a bitch to replace, they are 2 pieces. But this is significantly easier.

And TantumBull: Hereticorp bought 2 new longshots for the sake of one write up.

#252568 Recon-cs6

Posted by wingd man on 04 October 2009 - 09:46 AM in Modifications

Nice mod, I've been having this problem and just might do this, but you should change the thread name, it sounds like you have a problem with your recon, which makes people less likely to want to read the thread.

#252252 Big Salvo: One Tank Modification

Woah, how many pumps does that take?

#251691 Mother Of All Modification Contests

Definitely, It would also encourage people to enter again because they know what they did wrong, and why the winning contest submission won over somebody else's.

#251656 Raider Cs-35: Overview / Overhaul

Posted by wingd man on 25 September 2009 - 10:59 PM in Modifications

Compression spring is the word you are thinking of. Tension springs are the ones you have in tech target, dart tag blaster, and maverick triggers. And, yes, torsion springs are the wind up ones.

#251646 Rear-loading Sm1.5k Fixes

Posted by wingd man on 25 September 2009 - 09:54 PM in Modifications

To solve this issue on the 1500 I was working on, I used a belt sander to sand down the backside of the front half of the turret so that it wasn't as thick.

Same here, except off of the part of the back half that air comes out of, and on an AT2K turret.

#250964 ?magstrike-longshot Integration?

Posted by wingd man on 20 September 2009 - 08:05 AM in Modifications

You could put the clip through the jam door, or maybe cut up a lot of a longshot and stick it on a magstrike.

#250963 A New Name For Nerf "wars"

Posted by wingd man on 20 September 2009 - 08:03 AM in General Nerf

We could kill our pride and call it a LARP.
Assuming that we like our pride the way it is, I'd go with dart tag.
Otherwise competition, possibly battle, or just regular old game sound descent.

Also:
Battles
About
Suction-cupped
Killing devices
(used for)
Entertainment
(and)
Torture
But
Allowing
Long ranged
Longshots

Needs some work, but we might just be able to call ourselves B.A.S.K.E.T.B.A.L.L.

#249766 How Much Will This Increase Range?

Posted by wingd man on 06 September 2009 - 05:17 PM in Modifications

You mean the one on the tank? From what I hear, yes. It will increase trigger responsiveness and thus increase range.

WTF dude, seriously you want to be like that.

First I'd like to say that, although you are a cool guy, you can really be a n00b at times.

Look, just like the last war, I might not be able to bring many guns to yours. I also might have a lack of stefans and not-algebra. I'm in a fucking magnet program so I have an assload of homework. Unless you have a club of some sort you can't have wars this frequently. Sorry, but winter break is perfect, this? Not so much. So shut up.

Second, I should be able to come to this war over winter break.

How about F.A.T.?

Hm... The park is big. I would suggest backpacks and bicycles to travel between areas. My bike has a cargo rack so I can carry anything under 20 pounds on it, given I have the right bungees. Backpacks to carry small primaries, secondaries, and ammo are a good idea.
Wing'd Man, I have a Scatter Titan, but you'll need your own thumbtack darts. :P

Or we can just walk, get rides in cars or just have a central location where we can disperse from.
Also we need an exact meeting point so we all dont end up in different parts of the park

Well, if we wanna go to different areas, the park spans several miles on its long axis. I don't much care for walking several miles, and as far as I know they don't let you drive through the park. I say we should probably all meet at a good location outside of the park and do a convoy like at DAFT, so we all arrive at the place at the same time. The Dr Pepper Museum would be a good rendezvous point.

And let's stick to that point, rather than everybody moving without waiting for other people, Kay? ^_^

Posted by wingd man on 28 August 2009 - 08:12 PM in Modifications

There's an ebay seller, 'fancyrocker' who keeps coming up with more of the classic yellow balls, new-in-bag.

"Oh say can you SIG?"

Does anybody know how far the balls shoot compared to darts?

Very nice, cool as heck, I can't wait to touch it...

I hate my mind.

On topic: Wow. How awkward is it to prime?

Less awkward than the +bow actually. It's about as easy to prime as my NFs. I just tip it down and use my left hand to prime, this motion also lets me prepare the RSCB in one smooth action.

Good. What about if you were to integrate this into the front of a +bow?

Spring, you prime it when you put in the ball.

#248040 Raider Overhaul Write-up

Posted by wingd man on 21 August 2009 - 09:30 PM in Modifications

Range only matters if you have accuracy. And preference does matter, I can't stand BBBBs, but I love doomsayers that shoot 60 feet.

And if I do recall, dizzy said it didn't need to hit 100'. NOT that range doesn't matter.
