#237119 Keyboard And Screen Sie Issues

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 June 2009 - 11:45 AM in Off Topic

Take a compressed air can and use the straw to blow out dirt from under the keys. You can find the compressed air can at Office Depot.

#264533 Cpvc'd Air Tech 2000

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 February 2010 - 07:44 PM in Modifications

Try drilling out the cpvc with a 1/2" spade bit. It'll give the barrels an air-gun fit with most hardware store foam.

#250897 Bbb Value Questions

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 September 2009 - 07:30 PM in Modifications

Definitely get the bbb. I'm a huge fan of bbb's and for $20 they make pretty good primaries. Just coupler it and slap on a RSCB and you'll get range and rof.

#233835 Mod For Buzz Bee Missiles

Posted by Hi Yah on 01 June 2009 - 07:38 PM in Modifications

You could take craft foam to make a slug-type tip. Then you could glue bb's to the back to add weight.

#237253 At2k Problems

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 June 2009 - 08:22 PM in General Nerf

Ok guys I`m haveing troubles with my air tech. When it`s closed it pumps but when it`s open it works fine. I`m desperet for help if you thimk you know what it is then send me a message. It would really help.

You say when its closed it pumps, but when it's open it works fine. What is the problem? You never say what happens when you try to fire it closed.

P.S. even a working air gun will pump when closed, and when it's open, work fine.

EDIT: mr.little beat me. Please ignore.

#260983 Breeched Bbbb

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 January 2010 - 06:34 PM in Modifications

Nice jpb. Also if the o-ring is bad on this gun too you could replace it with a Danco #17 o-ring.

#275467 My Firefly Won't Fire

Posted by Hi Yah on 21 May 2010 - 02:53 PM in Modifications

Check your plunger seal. Check your turret seal. If your darts are tight in CPVC drill them out with a 1/2" spade bit.

#269643 A New Petg Breech

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 March 2010 - 06:58 PM in Darts and Barrels

Why not just use e-tape to allow the PETG to slide in the PVC, instead of the brass?

#249824 Lbb-mav

Posted by Hi Yah on 07 September 2009 - 11:18 AM in Modifications

I believe ice did the same thing a while back but used a bbbb instead. Nice work.

#257251 Inline Clip

Posted by Hi Yah on 25 November 2009 - 04:37 PM in Modifications

This seems to be a good time to ask, because I've been curious; is there any sort of PETG, or clear piping that fits snugly in a CPVC coupler, but is thin enough to allow the darts to fall through?

I've heard of some people getting 5/8 PETG from some pet stores.

#257442 How To Make Hollow Stefans (tutorial)

Posted by Hi Yah on 28 November 2009 - 10:55 AM in General Nerf

Do you have to heat up the nail for every dart? And do you think it's worth the extra time to make them?

#241239 Defender T3 Modification

Posted by Hi Yah on 10 July 2009 - 08:04 AM in Modifications

Nice job. This is the first mod I've seen on the arrow shooter.

#276399 Angel Breeched Longshot Help

#227808 Ls Help

I use stock darts.

When in doubt, go with thick wall.

#231773 Captain Slug's Dart Design

Posted by Hi Yah on 21 May 2009 - 09:14 PM in General Nerf

Why name them when they already have a name? Also these are CS's design so he should name them, which he already has done.

#230012 Nerf Office Antics

Posted by Hi Yah on 13 May 2009 - 03:14 PM in General Nerf

My story isn't about a workplace, but rather an incident that happened at my school. We were reenacting the Bost Massacre and our teacher said we could bring in toy guns to make it more realistic. So we all brought in some nerf guns and a war break sout during homeroom. Then one kid get shot in the eye with tagged dart, his eye was wide open when he got shot. He gets a cornial abrasion and is out of school for two days. Everyone that as in the room gets detention, and now nerf guns are banned at my school.

#229424 Anything Better Than Nite Finder?

Posted by Hi Yah on 10 May 2009 - 05:19 PM in General Nerf

Big Blast are about $9, give superb ranges, and make great primaries.

#256639 Handyman #9713 Spring = Which Ace Spring?

Posted by Hi Yah on 17 November 2009 - 09:17 PM in Modifications

Hey guys, I am looking for stronger springs for my Raider and Recon. Any suggestions? Thank You.

You could replace the spring with one from rfsg.

#260019 Stromfinder Rifle

$7 for 2 tubes? At my Petco it was $7 for 3 feet. How long were each of the tubes?

#266047 At2k Help/fix

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 February 2010 - 07:23 PM in General Nerf

If the pump is plugged the lump of hot glue might have busted your check valve.

#243815 Jspb-aliendb1

Posted by Hi Yah on 25 July 2009 - 09:32 AM in Homemades

It looks really cool! But aren't ranges kinda low because of the dead space from the air output to the barrel, and the dead space from the clip?

#232934 New Nerf

Posted by Hi Yah on 27 May 2009 - 08:57 PM in General Nerf

You could just copy and paste the text on a free translating website to get a translation.

#247685 Titan Mod Without Pvc Pipes?

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 August 2009 - 06:32 PM in Modifications

Just cut the grates on the barrel and the part where the barrel screws on.

#229320 Problem With Stefans

Posted by Hi Yah on 10 May 2009 - 08:31 AM in Modifications

It all depends how your foam fits your barrels. I believe you are using Home Depot foam, as do I. My foam fits my barrels tighter than cdtd's so they go a bit further.

#272560 Maverick Barrel Removal

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 April 2010 - 12:30 PM in Modifications

I have no idea what you're talking about. If you going to replace the barrels, don't even bother. It is a lot of work and the barrels add too much weight causing rotation issues. The maverick also is too weak to propel a dart fit is tight. Just remove the AR's and close the gun up, anymore is not worth it.

#234638 Dart Tag Blaster Modification

Posted by Hi Yah on 06 June 2009 - 03:11 PM in Modifications

Nice write-up. You don't see too many dtb barrel replacement write-ups, so this is helpful for some noobs with dtb's.

#230587 Longshot Cf Boltsled Reinforcement

Posted by Hi Yah on 16 May 2009 - 01:18 PM in Modifications

Nice way to reinforce a boltsled. I love how it looks so clean!

#250966 Rscb Help Anyone?

Posted by Hi Yah on 20 September 2009 - 08:41 AM in Darts and Barrels

Try sanding the barrel where it meets the t coupler, this will make it run a bit smoother. Also I reccommend cutting the barrel 2 inches shorter than the normal length singled barrel, this will be a better barrel length for the last shots. I hope this helps.

#270122 How Do I Mod An 'orange Logo Nitefinder'?

Posted by Hi Yah on 23 March 2010 - 08:16 PM in Modifications

The easiest way is to hold it over a lit candle and rotate it until you can remove the AR assembly.

#272909 Singled Doubleshot Mod

Posted by Hi Yah on 21 April 2010 - 03:05 PM in Modifications

Black CPVC? I dont think my 1/2" cpvc fits in 3/4" cpvc. Pretty nifty you didn't have to sand the barrel, or bore out the outside of the breech.

1/2" CPVC easily fits inside 3/4 CPVC with little bit of wiggle room.

#266977 My Ls Brass Breech Version

Posted by Hi Yah on 25 February 2010 - 10:22 PM in Modifications

This is a really good idea. I'm pretty sure the angel breech uses 9/16, I like how this uses 17/32 mainly because thats the size of brass I use as my main barrel. And its perfectly air tight because the 1/2 makes a seal with the 17/32 right?
And this is alot less brass.
Nice write up too!

You know that can make an angel breech with 17/32, right? Just size down all the brass.

#230603 Secret Shot Ii, With Tank Mod.

Posted by Hi Yah on 16 May 2009 - 03:25 PM in Modifications

I'm Curious on how much hot glue you can pump in until there is not enough volume to get the dart out of the barrel.

#248374 Dtb Help

Posted by Hi Yah on 24 August 2009 - 06:26 AM in Modifications

Did you lube it? Also, pictures would be really helpful.

#247459 Recon O-rings

Posted by Hi Yah on 18 August 2009 - 06:47 AM in Modifications

Ah, I don't want to sound slow or anything, but I have no idea what a thrift store is. In fact I don think I have ever heard that term used before.

A thrift store is a store where people donate old and unwanted items, and then the store sells them for low prices.

#239423 Cheapstacles

Posted by Hi Yah on 30 June 2009 - 02:07 PM in Homemades

Dowel rods would make this cheaper, and to make them go in the ground smoothly, I would reccomend picking thinner dowels and sharpening them. And to sharpen them I would use a pencil sharpener.

#251588 Dt3 Pistol With New Internals

Posted by Hi Yah on 25 September 2009 - 06:39 AM in Modifications

This kind of reminds me of bobafan's dt3 mod, except with a new plunger rod. What ranges are you getting? Nice work.

#260201 At2k Help Needed

Posted by Hi Yah on 30 December 2009 - 06:56 PM in Modifications

I too believe that you busted your check valve. Also, why do you make so many help threads?

#256634 "silencing" My Nf

Posted by Hi Yah on 17 November 2009 - 08:42 PM in Modifications

How is the fbr method expensive? It cost about $3 for a 20' roll, and you only need about 1' to silence it. That's about 15 cents to silence your nf.

#265983 Pistol Splat Problem

Posted by Hi Yah on 19 February 2010 - 07:43 AM in Modifications

Wash every down to get rid of the lube. Then, replace the hot glue in the plunger head with goop. Then super glue the head back on. Make sure you lube it with a proper lube.
