Okay so as of recently, my pistol splat has been kind of screwy. I will give you a full diagnosis. Here is what it looks like as of now:

Here is what I have done:
Hot glued in plunger head
Added craft foam to top
Added coupler

Whenever it doesn't work, it makes a loud springy sound and no air goes through.
Air seal is great when it works
lube with petrolium jelly or Vasoline
Help would be appreciated.

You're using bad lubricants as a heads up, but the problem is likely when you pull back to prime it, the plunger rod separates from the head, then just slams forward not moving air.

Prime it, then check to see if the head moved. If not, the glue/bad lube could make it so that it takes too much to pull it back and it pops off the tiny plastic nub.

Edit: Also, your pics don't work.

I can't see the pics either, but he is probably right, the same thing happened to me.

Go to goodwill, and find anything, and everything that will work as ammunition, whether it be cups, dolls, or the tiny mexican children.

The plunger head is held on by a little nub, and nothing else. The horrible choice of lubricants most likely caused it to fall off or degrade, so the head doesn't stay attached to the nub anymore. Hotglue will not hold with vaseline either. I would recomend washing the affected pieces with a heavy duty soap, then drying them until they are completly dry. I'm not sure if the parts are dishwasher safe though... After that, use some high quality glue to hold the head on the rod.

You should be able to see what's happening with the blaster open. Watch the plunger as you prime and fire it. What does it do?

Probably launching the plunger and plunger-tube in his face,

Pull out the plunger and check if the head comes off easy, if it does that is your problem, fix it like blue said.

Wash every down to get rid of the lube. Then, replace the hot glue in the plunger head with goop. Then super glue the head back on. Make sure you lube it with a proper lube.

The yellow balls are also slightly smaller in diameter than the green ones.

Well, if this helps at all, the seal on my PS was better when I didn't have hot glue in it, if that helps. That doesn't seem to be the case with the other people here, though... Try it both ways, and use the one that works better for you.

Yes, there is a good point there. I guess I assume people to be thoughtful enough to study the mechanisms and hold in place whatever is necessary before letting it fly. And, he should be wearing eye protection, of course. It's still a very legitimate suggestion, for any blaster even.
