Im sure if it isnt comfortable it wouldnt be too hard to put a Mav grip on it. Has to be one of the most comfortable grips currently made.
Next to the NiteFinder. But hey You want to chop up your new toy go on ahead. I just hope it's not like the CrossFire; worse handle ever, well for me.

In case you missed it, this whole forum is about chopping up our new toys.Im sure if it isnt comfortable it wouldnt be too hard to put a Mav grip on it. Has to be one of the most comfortable grips currently made.

The NF handle is too small to begin with, and if this really is as big as it looks/the comparisons show, it probably wont be enough.
One week to go!

Please do tell! Show one mod where someone chops up a handle and replaces it with another one.

Now when comparing it to a LS I think it's not going to have as much potential, simply because it's smaller and has a sliding cocker (haha, ahem..).
But, when you look at it, the internals of a LS in a way are quite close to fitting inside the shell of the recon. If you cut off the entire frount barrel, and the stock, the Recon pistol and the remains of your LS would be similar lenghts. IMO. So, I dicided to make a picture to see if I could guess anything else (I know it's already been done, but not with the internals of an LS or with my sexy red lines).
Now, the last picture of the internals is defantly not the right scale (it's also inverted, for those of you who hadn't noticed) compared to the other ones. But, as you can see, even if the internals of the LS could be cut down in a similar way, you wouldn't be able to cock it, becuase the cocking bit of the LS is right at the back, so the Recon must have a very different way of cocking. Maybe the plunger rod has a catch on it, like most other spring guns (the most obvious example being the NF).
Most people have touch on one or more of three things about the Recon:
- It's not gonna be as good as the LS.
- It's a clipped pistol "ZOMG!!1".
- It looks cool.
I for one agree with all of them. Although, all of you that said anything about performance compared it to the LS. Maybe if we compare it to a different gun. One more in terms of size (of the functioning body of the Recon, not the extras) then, I think it's gonna be pretty f**king cool.
Hum, i've just said what everone else has said, nevermind...

But I wasnt even talking about grips specifically. To mod a gun, it gets cut. Really, how stupid must you be to not notice that?
Whether its good or bad, Im excited for this gun

I'm going to jump on the bandwagon here and speculate some more.

I see a little black hole on the middle section of the stock. Do you think the orange end of the LS plunger may go through there to show that it's primed? You know, that's if they share similar plunger eternals.
EDIT:
I realized what OMC notes said about it being primed and how it indicates that. So I may be right. Its the only way I can see the Recon having the same plunger size as the Longshot.
What do ya'll think?

As far as the length of the cocking indicator (whether it is the actual plunger rod or not), I noticed that there is a whole in the stock; this leads me to believe that the arm is at least that long.
As far as how long that distance is, it's you guys' best guess.
In a word, yes: I do think that the cocked-indicator-arm goes through (or, at least, into) that hole.
Speaking about the design of the plunger, I figure that it will be similar to the LS except for the placement of the catch:
The slide will push back the bolt, which will in turn push back the plunger. The plunger, rather than having a "knob" at the end, will have a catch-face somewhere in the middle of its length; similar to the NF, BBB, etc.
To sum up what we think about the plunger size:
-It's slightly shorter than the LS, but it's not it's LS front gun short.
-We know nothing about the diameter of the plunger chamber; the LS's was quite large, compared to a NF, even if the lengths were somewhat similar.
-We aren't going to know anything more until someone gets one in hand.

That sounds like some bs. Your friend probably doesnt know what it even looks like
Why?
People need to fucking lay off, we all have our opinion, so let's respect that. Comments like this achieve nothing.
Just my two cents.

Groove did compare his crossbow to an infant, but that doesn't mean it belongs there. I didn't end up buying it because I didn't want to have to explain why I was in the infants section to my friends. I figured nobody would look for it there anyway, so I can always go back and get it later.

Skittles is right, promo. If you post shit like that, back it up with a picture or something (what cell phone DOESN'T have a camera?). Don't waste everyone's time with telling me what your friend's friend's brother's cousin THOUGHT they saw in the store.

But back to the topic at hand. I'm pretty set with my Longshot, the only part I need is the light, I have this urge to place it on my LS where the scope yould go. Regardless, I will have to buy two of these for my nephew and his step-brother. In the past year I have bought them so many guns it's not even funny. (Probably close to 7-10 each, most modded to fit Stefans) Regardless this is a badass gun but unless it really kicks ass there's no way it's going to replace my precious rifle.
I do like the direction NERF is going, with more advanced guns, clip fed, and rail customizable. This is a great sign for the company, and I can't wait to see what else they have up their sleeves.
(oh, and I'm talking to my contacts at Toys 'R' Us, as I get info such as an actual release date or whatnot I'll let you know. No guarentees they, but worst case scenario I can look stuff up myself, I still know all their passwords and computer systems.)

Yeesh, I'm sorry, I said I wasn't sure of its authenticity and I was going to go find out. You don't have to flip out on me.
