For only having 5 people it was a friggin' blast. With 8+ it would have been a day to seriously remember. But we all just really wanted to shoot each other and had fun with that. I can't make it tomorrow, for various reasons that I'm pissed off about. I'm too tired to explain or be upset anymore.
I'm not gonna call the game off officially, because I know that Fenix is still going, but that makes about... what, 6 of us? If anyone wants to do next sunday, I'm game, and can probably bring 3 more people than I could have tonight.

First of all, I'm gonna leave at 4. If people wanna stay later they can, but I'd say that 10-4 is MORE than enough time.
Second of all, Foam where do you live? Many people from melrose are over 18 and can maybe get you a ride one way if your folks wanna compromise. If you're near Lexington I could probably give you a ride.

AJAQ, you do realize that the whole bolt receiver is orange, right?
I'm just wondering what you mean by "outlining" the receiver. I'd just like to know how your seal is being made, that would really help. Maybe a pic or a diagram - maybe one of the pics in the LS sticky can be used.

If you don't want people to flame, you might want to simply take some of their flames as advice instead of whining about it. No I'm not gonna flame you, but I will ask some questions.
First of all, I had to watch the movie to figure out what gun you were talking about, which I now know. It's probably a good idea to include what gun you're modding, that could just be me.
Second, it's a mod and all, but it's pretty much common knowledge that you can rip the grates/air restrictors off of guns' stock barrels and stick stefans in them, no offense. Some of your flames may have come from a lack of fresh content or people saying "yes, we've seen this before".
Finally, as you said, you can't see the darts fly and hit anything. Is there any way to get a better movie to show the spread, or maybe a picture or two of some test shots, some range tests, etc?

It won't be necessary, Thomas. I've never gotten shot in the nads, but I don't think it'd be too bad unless it was a really lucky shot or point blank. The protection that you should bring is a pair of sunglasses, because they serve the dual purpose of looking awesome and protecting your eyes from both the sun and angry stefans.
As for being awkward, we're very friendly people. There ain't much more I can say, but I guarantee that you'll have a good time if enough people come.

I don't think that any of us have singled titans. I have two singled Sm5k's, one of which can hit 100'+, the other's a bit weaker. If someone has an issue with a gun, we usually put it aside and don't use it. If someone's just being a wimp we smack them on the head and move on.
I'm 16, and I believe most of the melrose kids are 17/18+, but we're friendly. If you're only 13, which you have to be to be on the boards, that's fine. I know plenty of middle schoolers and I'm fine with em. I can guarantee that age won't be an issue unless you whine, which is unacceptable.
Oh, and Thomas if you're looking for results, don't go with a DTG. They're hard and expensive to mod, and once you're done you don't get the best results. You get decent results though; 10 ~50' shots ain't too bad. Up to you, but you'll need like 4' of CPVC and decent fitting darts to pull it off.

If people are still active, I'd like to know who'd be up for a war, lets say... sometime in October if it's possible? Maybe the last weekend or so? The place is close to a sweet pizza and sub shop that we always go to, and most people have cars so it's no biggie. Some people opt to stay behind and we get something for them. Not too big of a deal, but bring some cash.
If you can't bring stefans, that's ok. Don't worry about bringing darts if you don't have stefans, we generally have enough for people. Plus, I can probably make another 100 if need be.
As I said before, if you can mod a gun or two for the war it's worth it - I've used my now dying maxshot in every game I've gone to for ... a guesstimate of 3 years now. It's great to get familiarized with a gun; you just perform better. Big Blasts are easy and available at walgreens. Nightfinders are good and easy as well, just head over to Toys R Us or somewhere like that.
As for a permit, we have a deal with the park supervisors that as long as we stop if someone's near and clean up, we're absolutely fine. Good questions though. Expect to see an official thread for this soon.

If you have darts, or can make some, it's a good idea to do so to ensure we'll all have something to shoot with. I know that the Melrose crew brings a few hundred darts, and I'm gonna bring about 300 to the next war. The point is, no one should be discouraged to show up if they think that they lack the necessary stuff.

I could be amused for HOURS on /b/ before, and now I go on for about 10 mins and I'm so bored because mostly nothing goes on. Every once and then something is funny, but still. Most of the charm is gone now.

I know that I'm bringing upwards of 350 darts. The melrose crew always has this HUGE bag of assorted darts, some of which are good, some aren't. If OMC comes he usually brings a few 100. I'd say to make a few for yourself, I dunno, as many as you're willing to make.

Yeah nerfer, it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, the reason you make darts is to use/lose them in a war, no? That's the way I see it, so if I lose darts in a war I don't really worry about it. But you will lose some.
I haven't heard from euph in months. I'm sure that Milton's 5 or so nerfers are still alive, I just dunno if they browse the forums anymore. I hope they do, because another 5 would be great.

Considering the title is "Mass War '07", I'd assume that it's in MASSachusetts. Not a flame, just a reality check.
The last war didn't have any turnout from the random nerfers who expressed interest, like Nerfer34 and Shralla. I'd at least like you to post and say that you aren't coming, rather than just not coming. I'd REALLY like for the other members who aren't part of the usual MA crew to try and come to one of these games, they're really awesome.

Cool idea, and very practical. There were darts made by 3DBBQ at some point, his "magnum" darts, which had a normal stefan form with a piece of extra FBR on the end. It basically did the same thing that yours did, except kept the stefan weighting for increased performance. But considering the target audience, I don't think that the extra effort is necessary.

Oh, jubilations! I actually did this, but not to the extent that you did, a month or so ago. But I didn't figure out where my seal problem was. You ABSOLUTELY answered that question. Well done, well done.
