#268494 Salem State Nerf Game

Posted by MindWarrior on 08 March 2010 - 12:38 PM in Nerf Wars

The April date is during Vaca right? If so, then there's a good chance for me to come.

#264149 Nerf On The Internets

Posted by MindWarrior on 02 February 2010 - 05:28 PM in News

I've visited and posted on their Facebook, its cool, and I even spotted a picture of midwestern nerfers with their modded blasters posted on the wall by somebody there.

#272619 Inverse Plunger Tube Reinforcement

Posted by MindWarrior on 18 April 2010 - 08:26 PM in Modifications

Just when I destroy my recon. Very nice, and it's cheaper than an aluminum plunger tube. What range are you getting on your beefed up deploy?

#276576 Breaking Nerf News!

Happy B-day Split! Now shove a plusbow in some cake!

#279428 Nerf Sues Buzz Bee And Lanard!

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 02:48 AM in General Nerf

Even though its probably not the Lanard shotguns, I'm planning on stocking up, just in case.

Love it.

#289395 Gyrostabilization Module

Posted by MindWarrior on 29 November 2010 - 05:24 PM in Modifications

We all forget that although most of us follow similar ways to nerf, we're free to interpret the hobby responsibly as we want to. And besides, this isn't as complicated as something like a stampede and might open up some new ideas to the community, I mean c'mon we created SILENCERS, crappy silencers, but silencers.

#288636 Rear-loading At2k

Posted by MindWarrior on 19 November 2010 - 11:56 PM in Modifications

Impressive, how did you get the glue to be so flat?

#272076 My 2010 Hiatus

Posted by MindWarrior on 13 April 2010 - 01:29 PM in Off Topic

I'm sure some of us will miss seeing the MkIII more than you, which might possibly include me......
Joking aside, I hope you get back to speed by 2011. Get well soon!

#264886 Tetra Strike Barrel Replacement

Posted by MindWarrior on 09 February 2010 - 11:09 PM in Modifications

I can see the tetra strike as a great blaster for integrations, its tanks are only slightly smaller than an at2k's, and building up on this mod, you can have a mini, and easier to use marvelous salvo setup with ranges potentially in the low 80s.

#277280 Deluge Tanks Doubleshot Mod

Posted by MindWarrior on 09 June 2010 - 04:41 PM in Modifications

That looks great! But I think you'll find it easier to pump it to higher pressures if you shorten your CPVC extensions. Other than that it looks almost like something from start trek:

EDIT: I'll say right now that Hot glue is NOT a good sealant, I suggest that some more super glue to be used, or plumbers goop over the hot glue to ensure that no air escapes.

#285666 Insane Bna

Posted by MindWarrior on 18 September 2010 - 12:35 PM in Homemades

Theres the point where a nerf gun becomes too powerful to be safe to use in nerf wars, And using stock darts for a bow like this probably wouldm't be possible, since The power would cause the darts to spin.

#285669 Insane Bna

Posted by MindWarrior on 18 September 2010 - 01:01 PM in Homemades

Its just a matter of precaution, its your choice to follow it or not to avoid injury.

#285661 Insane Bna

Posted by MindWarrior on 18 September 2010 - 11:51 AM in Homemades

To his defence however, some people(bob) have stressed that bow powered blasters can be dangerously powerful, and kane admitted that he can make his Aabow dangerously powerful with slugs. So his ranges still be possible. But looking at the picture, the PT (I think?) looks pretty small.

#277727 Homemade At2k Tank

Posted by MindWarrior on 14 June 2010 - 03:31 PM in Homemades

Real 2k tanks don't have one, so why should this? You would just not plug whatever pump you are using.

I think that This tank is a lot sturdier than the real thing, meaning that higher pressures could be made and may make it non-war legal.

#277679 Homemade At2k Tank

Posted by MindWarrior on 14 June 2010 - 12:04 AM in Homemades

Very, Very nice. Now machine an at2k turret for this.

#277708 Homemade At2k Tank

Posted by MindWarrior on 14 June 2010 - 11:36 AM in Homemades

The turret, I suspect would be far more expensive to pruduce, like 30$~ at least, I suspect. Would there be any failsafe to prevent over pressure to be war legal?

#279423 The Mirage

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 01:39 AM in Modifications

不够公平, But would you use a bike pump? You might get more efficiency from that.

#279412 The Mirage

Posted by MindWarrior on 03 July 2010 - 10:34 PM in Modifications

很高兴看到Nerfhaven另一位华人! I still had to use google translator on that :P . That thing looks awesome. A couple questions though, How many Pumps does it take to fill the bladder? Are you planning on hooking upo a compressor to it?

#279427 The Mirage

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 02:42 AM in Modifications

Yeah, google translator can only do so much. I can't wait to see this finished though, you can probably get 5-8 more shots with the new efficient breech.

#279517 The Mirage

Posted by MindWarrior on 05 July 2010 - 12:24 AM in Modifications

A singled magstrike compleatly defeats the purpose of the magstrike, regardless of what ranges you're getting. You should at least put a hopper clip on it. But other than that, cool stuff.

He designed it to be clip fed, but due to lack of proper equipment he has outside of his school, he cannot build one.

#276632 Semi-auto Shotgun

Posted by MindWarrior on 02 June 2010 - 01:31 AM in Homemades

One question: How the hell do you hold it? Do you hold it with the Manual plunger over your shoulder, or under it?

#276747 Autobow Mk Ii

Posted by MindWarrior on 03 June 2010 - 08:42 PM in Homemades

My sisters coming back from China, And as an advid archery lover, shes gonna love this! Thanks for the writeup.

#268824 Pull Back Recon

Posted by MindWarrior on 11 March 2010 - 01:01 AM in Modifications

So, where is the breech? In those pictures, I'm not seeing anywhere for the dart to enter the barrel. Maybe I'm blind?

Have a sizzlin' day,
AJ

He coupler'ed the recon.

#274187 Has Anyone Considered Making/using Sights?

Posted by MindWarrior on 06 May 2010 - 05:35 PM in Modifications

Many don't because nerf is such a close range game that sights just don't seem necessary. Many hits are in the 50-80 range sometimes closer and occasionally farther. Just a line of sight down the barrel has been proven sufficient in the place of sights. But hey, if you like sights, use em.

#277408 Rtp, Pump Action Homemade.

Posted by MindWarrior on 10 June 2010 - 11:03 PM in Homemades

How much would it cost in materials to machine one or two?

#268230 Snapbow Mk. V

Posted by MindWarrior on 06 March 2010 - 10:26 AM in Homemades

I think he just used hotglue and goop like he did for the stock.

#268300 Snapbow Mk. V

Posted by MindWarrior on 07 March 2010 - 12:12 AM in Homemades

Adding another 1 1/4" rubber washer should prevent folding, also, drilling holes at the end of the plunger shaft allows air to come in behind the Plunger rod to prevent vacuuming behind it. Hope that helps.

#268187 Snapbow Mk. V

Posted by MindWarrior on 05 March 2010 - 10:25 PM in Homemades

Holy crap, That is cool, simple and cheap to add, are you planning on using the intergration brackets for anything in particular?

#268089 Snapbow Mk. V

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 March 2010 - 11:21 PM in Homemades

Are the ranges comparable to a +bow? I'm guessing withing a 1o ft difference

#267820 Snapbow Mk. V

Posted by MindWarrior on 03 March 2010 - 02:57 PM in Homemades

How much does this cost, and how much more does it cost to make a more?

#278193 Splitfire/2k Turret Modification!

Posted by MindWarrior on 21 June 2010 - 12:03 PM in Modifications

So thats what meant on the IRC. That things pretty amazing. And for reload time, this things a secondary, no need to use it for more than the 4 shots provided unless your primary craps.

#270914 A New Singled Longshot.

Posted by MindWarrior on 31 March 2010 - 09:18 PM in Modifications

I triple-dog-fucking-dare you to nest a [k26], [k25] and k19 spring in that thing.

#282266 Hybrid Hopper, Combines Hopper With Brisc

Posted by MindWarrior on 05 August 2010 - 10:41 PM in Darts and Barrels

Probably as well as a normal hopper with a nested brass barrel. The Chopper just makes the clip parallel to the blaster, but nothing in terms of performance should be changed dramatically. So it would probably work fine with a nested brass barrel.

#279499 Preeminent Plunger Head

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 06:38 PM in Homemades

Another kinda related question. Where do you get your flat CPVC endcaps, I've only seen rounded endcaps at my Home depot, and my LOwes doesn't even carry CPVC.

#279504 Preeminent Plunger Head

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 08:23 PM in Homemades

Bah, I'll probably shave some of the end cap down and use a combination of epoxy and sanding to get a flat surface.

#279506 Preeminent Plunger Head

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 08:56 PM in Homemades

The 1/2 CPVC endcap?

#279494 Preeminent Plunger Head

Posted by MindWarrior on 04 July 2010 - 06:08 PM in Homemades

How many Primes or wars, do you think this new plunger head will last before the PVC ramp starts to be unusable?
