I may come with one or two friends, and I'll try to convince my dad to play (hehe). Hopefully I'll have my "DoomSayer" done buy this war (and some others, muahahahahaha!). I think my new PAS will win, Snake#, hehe...

~F!nnster

If that's the case, a Doomsayer v. Everything round might be a little more skewed towards the Doomsayer than originally intended. Maybe I can prevent Zorn from building his somehow; we'll see how it plays out.

So what, two weeks from Saturday? I should make more darts.

My concern is that a 3 vs all DoomSayer versus everyone else is that a simple "Zerg Rush!" tactic will end the round quickly

Forget the meat shields, I'll take the gents with vulcans! They'll draw the attention with their weapons of mass destruction or make the RFDG wielders laugh so hard we'll have no problem rushing them...

You could stay on the Southwest side close to Midway Airport. The parking is free in the area and the hotels are much cheaper. It's about a half hour drive from there to where the war is being held. The parking at the war is free too. You get to avoid the way too expensive garages and could still go to the war for cheap.

PM me if you are curious, I'd gladly help you out.

LSW, if you make it, you'll have a place of honor on the field.

Finished off my box of washers and felt tips. I have all the darts we could find from last time mixed in with these in a big, we'll bring it out and everyone can fish around for theirs.

In other news, it is now less than two weeks until Chano. People, you should be making plans to prep guns and sparing time to make darts. Hope to see you there.

I'm all set to go with my new and improved PAS. The Chicago Nerf Mob will be ready to take down any opposition...

I've noticed that I9 + DS = <3 I'm guessing that means Ice Nine + Doomsayer = Love? Could this mean Ice Nine has a Doomsayer? We'll have to see at the next ChANO!

Wow, I really need to get some NF for some dualies, I chopped up my old one for my BBB..

Unfortunately, if ICESPARTAN does not come through and ships my package, the BBB will not be appearing until next CHANO (IF there is), or pictures.

Team Caution will miss you, Bad.

I have two game types I'd like to make an attempt to test out during this war. More will be revealed closer to next Saturday as I'd like to go over some logistics with Zorn.

Snake, expect a PM soon.

It's this Saturday. It looks like we have a good crowd.

To all the people who came last time, do you have any problems with any apparent lack of cover? Were the trees enough of do you crave more? After seeing some of those obstacles at the NJ War through pictures Zorn and I thought we might try something similar if there was enough demand. We would appreciate a dollar or two at the war (we're doing it for you! FOR YOU!) but it's by no means necessary, and it wouldn't bother me personally if no one paid. I'd just like to get an idea beforehand so I can plan a trip to Ace and section off some time to construct them.

I was wondering about that too, Ice. Were you thinking Force Field types with PVC and plastic wrap? The playground was decent enough for cover I thought. The open field was pretty decent I thought myself, considering a number of darts barely made it through the branches of that big tree. Just my thoughts, though.

Also, I'm guessing that lot where everyone was parked right next to the field is ok to get into? No tickets or anything needed?

I enjoyed the open field and playground last time. Getting back from MNMNO the area had a lot of trees and led to some interesting tactics. Having experienced that I would gladly contribute to the building of some "force field" cover.

I'm looking forward to the Effeminateness of Electric Boogaloo this Saturday, however what's the plan for the inclement weather that might be approaching? Would/Could Sunday serve as a rain date?

I9 - If you need help with the supplies for the force fields CALL ME. I'll be out and about celebrating...

Sunday could easily serve as a rain date. The weather has been so incredibly odd lately that I'm not putting too much faith into the forecast.

In any case, there are better things you can and should be doing on your birthday. The Ace is only a few blocks away; Zorn and I can handle it. Thanks for the offer though, it is greatly appreciated. Have fun!

The only thing I had issues with was getting up that tree and falling out of it. I plan on not letting that happen this time.
Beyond that one or two wall to dive behind would be more than enough cover for me.

I think I should be able to manage a force field frame for saturday, I'll bring it along if I can just to be one more barricade. Or should we make a ladder/platform for that tree? Just kidding about that last part.

I will definately bring an extra couple of bucks if we can get barricades.
