It was always my assumption that Hasbro saying it at the announcement that they would work.

Also, the receiver assembly is the same on the 3 guns and the magazine's port is the same as a normal CS clip.

Not to sound like an asshole or anything, but...

I already knew they would work, too, but we had quite a few people in the giant speculation thread who thought they wouldn't. You're right, it really should be common sense, but now we have proof for the people who weren't sure.

To prevent these conversations, we could make a list of established facts derived from several sources to put along with pictures in the speculation threads. That way, we have all the information condensed into one place and ideas aren't repeated. I for one knew from the beginning pretty much that the drum was compatible with the rest of the CS-6 line.

I agree with 1337's new sig. Those new Furyfires look sweet! I might make another "Lover" out of that.

added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole

My proof is that Hasbro said it, be it at the announcement or in the patent description or somewhere of the like. I assumed that their saying it meant it would be true. I dunno, man.

Did the fact that CS-6 is on the Raider itself not tell you it would use CS-6 clips? If it can use CS-6 as well as the drum, I'd hope the CS-6 guns can use the drum.

ANYWAY, I'd rather not get in a flame war. We have proof, so end of story.

There's no flame war going on here.

SchizophrenicMC simply said that the compatibility of the clips was obvious. Even if we didn't have proof, we already new that the drums would work in the LS/Recon. It's common sense.

And now we have proof, so there's nothing to argue about.

Do people think you can fire off all 10 rounds in the furyfire without having to pump in between?

Due to the basic rules of Nerf pneumatics, I'd say no. The new airguns look damn sexy, though. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

After looking at everything, I don't see anything that looks like an airgun. I see a CTF with a battery pack, a dart barrel and an IR barrel and it will probably function like a Scout. I see a better maverick with 10 shots. Since the Raider is all about its new Slamfire, I doubt Nerf is going to go beyond that and stick with a pull-back shotgun prime like most of us have already made for other guns. Also to go with the laser CTF, the guys holding a baton that I'm assuming detects the IR beam and means you're hit or something to that extent. Making a "super-clip" is not beneficial if you can have almost 3x that amount of darts instead. That's about all I'll say about this thus far.

Most of us are hoping that the Furyfire is air powered. If it is, it will (should) be way better than a maverick.

The raider can switch between slam fire and pump action with the trigger. I'm pretty sure that's what you were talking about.

highly unlikely and improbable.

Before saying something like that look at the schofield(or however it's spelled)... The guy made a gun with about a 1 inch plunger stroke and it went the same distance as a stock gun.

Yes, but if you look at the STROKE length of the pump/priming handle for it to be a springer it would either have to protrude or use gears to reduce the stroke length on the plunger. All I am saying is that it is most likely an air gun.

I actually think this is a possibility. There's only been a few other semi-auto air guns I can think of, and the first was the Mad Hornet. I doubt they're semi-auto, but it's always a possibility.

I really hate to be pessimistic, but I think it is a springer, not an airgun. Here are a couple reasons:
1. ROF. Hasbro is concerned with making rapid fire guns, such as the vulcan, dtb, mav, ls, recon. They all have a relatively high ROF. If this gun were to be an air gun, it would require multiple pumps (unless the pump tube takes up 1/3 of the gun). This would not be very high ROF. Hasbro wants guns that will spew out a lot of foam in a short period of time. The 10 shot turret would accomplish this for us, but for SWAT team loving kids, it wouldn't be enough, in my opinion.
2. General motion of things: Hasbro has not made an air gun in 3 years. But still, Nerf only made springers until the Supermaxx line (feel free to correct me on that), and only made airguns for the supermaxx years. Then, they kept on making airguns for the airjet power+, and Airtech lines. Then along came the NF and Nstrike, which have, for the exception of the hornet and titan, been springers. I hope they are going to go back to airguns, because correct me if Im wrong, but there hasn't been an airgun available in stores that people completely gave up on (recon).

I would really hope that it is an air powered gun. With a pump plug, PETG barrel replacement, maybe find some way of hacking off the front of it to allow for longer barrels... (GASP)
I can see it having great potential.
Springer or not, it would be easy as pie to integrate a 2k into there. Im going to get it regardless.

EDIT: If this is a springer, I think the only good route is to convert it to an airgun. I mean, look at the size of the area behind the gun. It looks like it has a mav sized pluger tube. The pump shaft looks like it would snap under the weight of an added spring (or a plugged pump for that matter). Looks like a powerclip pump, but thinner.
The faux barrel would kill range for sure, but it is necessary for the pump action to work corrrectly. I can see AT2k internals in this baby already.
