I never said that what he did required no skill. Not anybody with a doomsayer could have done that. All I'm saying is, without that doomsayer or some other gun with high ROF, accuracy, and ranges, that incredible feat probably wouldn't have been feasible. By that post, boom, it sounds like you've spent a lot more time sucking Angel's dick than nerfing.

Generally, with nerf guns, a high ROF has trade offs, as does high ranges. Most guns with high ranges don't have an extremely good ROF. Guns with a good ROF, don't usually hit the century mark. The doomsayer is one of the only exceptions to these general facts about modified blasters. Something that can send 12 pieces of foam 100 feet away in 12 seconds is cheap in my book, no matter who's wielding it. It upsets the fairness of the game when most people have 2K's, BBB's, PAS's, BBBB's, SM 1.5K's, and X-Bows.

But you are right in that the gun doesn't make the nerfer.

I'll be bring my brother and one or two guests. Also, I have no problem playing against DoomSayers. The only blasters that should be banned are singled titans and pump plugged BBBB, unless there are two barreled or tri barreled.

Ok, so as you know, the legality of doomsayers as been argued over in this topic. I'm now starting an official poll (note that this can be overridden by the SOF team at any time, they're the hosts after all) to decide the legality of doomsayers at this war. Rather than starting a new thread, I'll do it here. You only get to vote if you are a definite on the attendance list. If you'd like me to not state who you are, PM me your vote and that you don't want your name shown. Otherwise, just post here. I'll update this as constantly as I can. Feel free to also post your feelings about doomsayers. Also, votes can be changed at any time if you get swayed by another person's post. The following are mine:

Nothing really to be said about it, as you already addressed my issues with them.

Well, I would say yes, but probably because I own a variant of the Doomsayer. Mine is NOT the monster that Angel's is, partly because I didn't want my son maiming the neighborhood kids. Stock spring and 1/2 a +Bow spring, with 9" barrels (because then I only had to buy three 36" tubes instead of four). I get about 80 feet depending upon the darts. I'm not sure about Blacksunshine's, but I know it has shorter barrels too. So are you guys objecting more to... the range? Or the number of barrels? Honestly, I don't think this would be an issue if the Mag7 hadn't banned Doomsayers. What about if I took out half of the barrels? Because a well modded AT3K or SM3K could perform like that too.

This has nothing to do with the Mag 7. This is just how I feel. And I think the problem is the range PLUS the ROF. Maybe the half barreled one, but 80 feet is still a lot for the ROF it would still have. Taking away barrels just makes you need to reload more often, but the priming ROF would still be ridiculously high proportionally to the ranges. There aren't many shots taken that actually hit their mark at 80 feet, anyway. And, in my opinion, you could have 12,000 barrels as long as you couldn't get a stefan out of each in a second. Like I said, the problem is the range plus the ROF.

I just generally agree with the above argument of Tantum Bull.

Also, Draconis, An At3k or a Sm3k can't compare with a Doomsayer because those are Air Guns, that have a lot lower ROF than the Doomsayer.

I really think the only non-standard ban issue is the Doomsayer. There is NO reason to ever ban the Crossbow, and by rights the +Bow either.

Right, it's gonna Go down like this. SOFnos are gonna be run under Mostly Local rules... of course we're also gonna share with you some of the Ways We SoCalers play too... (mainly our specialized games) but that's beyond that point.

Its a lot different. Unless you BBBB has an auto rotating turret, a new barrel can be aligned and the gun can be pumped in a second, and it has over 10 barrels. However, everyone has their own opinion. I will mark you as a yes.

Wow, I sure missed out on a lot.

1. I am 90% sure I can make this war. I think I am taking summer college classes, but there are massive holes in the summer schedule and I will beat my skull in if I miss this war.

2. Assuming I can come, I might bring a friend bringing our possible group to seven.

3. This makes little difference until I rule out the 10% chance that I miss this war, but I am also against doomsayers.

Doomsayers are ok by me.

Depending on the angle of battle field there are some REALLY good spots in marymoore with decent cover. Being as this is the PNW there is not really any way to get around brush and blackberry bushes. I will try and get some vids I took of the marrymore area so you can all get a feel for the place.

Sorry to bring this up again, Tantumbull you said on this first page that View ridge elementary was a good place to nerf, which one are you talking about? There is one in Bremerton, Seattle, Everett, Kennwick. Usually schools are the best places to nerf if you would clarify it would be much appreciated.

Isn't Kennewick in the Gorge? That's probably not the one he was referring to...
