Currently I have an extra NF and a couple of "decent" primaries. And I plan on getting some more within the next six months.

Also, I'm pretty sure a lot of people will bring extra primaries so you should be covered.

I will certainly have some primaries to lend. I have two BBBs, three modded Magstrikes, one Longshot, one RFS, one PAS, two BBBBs, three Big Salvos, one Triple Strike (MASSIVE air tanks), etc. The list goes on.

What about trading? Are we going to set aside some time for some buying and selling to take place? As for the ball gun round, Draconis, earlier you said we were going to have set ball types. I can see this becoming a little complicated if people want to use guns made by nerf intended for balls, as other sizes won't work. I also totally think we should have a modded pistol or stock primary round. As in you can use a modded pistol or a stock primary. And no, splitfires and pistol splats can't be modded in that game type.

Probably not SM1500s either? About the balls, like I said, my blasters will shoot whatever I stick in the barrels. I just need to know what you guys are bringing.

Sweet, I just ordered a rotorocket for 5 bucks plus shipping from amazon. Ball-gun-rounders beware! Draconis, I saw your RR with the ball gun attachment, and I'll probably shoot you a PM about sizes of threaded coupler/adapters/whatnot once it arrives.

I need to figure out some sort of breach system that would work with the balls. If I get a working breech, making and attaching a mag will be a piece of cake.

There is always going to be a few min here and there for trading. To be honest not much trading goes on at the wars that isn't prearranged. So I don't think much time really need be set aside for trading. 15 min when we get there maybe 30 min for lunch. during that time you can work out deals.

Whats wrong with splitfires and pistolsplats? they are pistols. I plan on using one or the other during pistol rounds.

I think a stock primary/modded pistol round would be fine, and maybe a stock or modded automatic round could be thrown in with the others.

Because then the point of using stock primaries begins to fade when you could just have a pistol with extreme ranges (for a pistol). That's how march meltdown is doing it. But honestly, I don't care. I'd love to use my pistol splat. I just think it might take the fun out of it for other players who are using stock primaries. But yeah, in pistol rounds, we definitely should allow them.

I did think about that, maybe we could have ar removed only? or keep it 100% stock. Only one thing, we would have to use stock darts unless we have the pointy thing removal allowed for stefans. Then it wouldn't be 100% stock! OMG TEH HORRORZ!

That's a good point. Maybe we should just nix that round altogether. Although, I love your only automatics idea.

Edit: Point noted about trading, Sunshine. What will you guys be bringing to trade? I'm considering just making a bunch of 2K spacer plates to hand out for free. Oh and Draconis, about those two you wanted earlier, you don't have to pay for them. I don't want to be greedy over this, as I have free access to everything.

I have a whole bunch of guns I'd be looking to sell. I'd have to go check, but I know I have 3 SuperMaxx 1500's, a SuperMaxx 750, an old style Nitefinder or two, and a whole assortment of modded guns I no longer use.

And about the ball gun round, would a Titan modded to fire balls be allowed? I could probably hack up my Titan into something suitable for a ball gun round.

I think Titans firing anything but stefans is fine, honestly. I'll be bringing my Ball titan, my Nat-Geo, motorized Ballzooka, and Reactor.

And for trade, I'll have to get off my ass and start working, but I'd like to have at least one +Bow, a couple L+Ls, a homebrew pistol of my own design, and some upgrade kits I've been working on for BBBs.

The area at Marymoor was pretty empty, and we never had any problems with using it, aside from that concert landing on the same day. It was sort of divided into sections (area closest to the parking lot, middle area with the big building, furthest out area with the little shelter), these areas could be adjusted depending on how many people make it (ex: Middle area only, or middle and parking lot areas only).

I have never seen Seaward park, so I don't know how the location will be. If anyone lives near there, going out and taking some pictures would be great.

The only real concern I have is if we get kicked out of one area, what would we do then? Do either Marymoor or Seaward have a backup location nearby?

Ok, next I think we should check out any secondary areas, in case we get kicked out.

I live in the Seattle area specifically Renton and am finally able to post indicating my attendance to this SOF event.

I will research some parks down here. I think the Gene Coulon Park is out due to it's 'narrow' design as well as its overcrowded nature.

Liberty Park in the heart of Renton is also out. It is flat, and contains things like baseball diamonds, basketball courts and what passes for a 'skate park'

Kiwanis Park is better suited as there are two areas with some 'woods' separated by an open field that has an increasing grade on the east side of it. Though saying it is better suited is comparing lame to weak.

If you guys want I can discuss local schools and other 'locations' perhaps we can even build a database for future events, gatherings and wars.

Thanks for the suggestions, but we have already determined that we will be using Marymoor Park in Redmond. I will mark you down as an attendee. Don't forget to start working on a ball gun!

I think he was talking about a backup location if something were to happen. I think looking into schools near Marymoor park would be a great idea. Having the war on a Monday drastically reduces chances of a soccer game or some other event going on at a school.

Hey Draconis, I thought I'd ask this here instead of PMing, so all attendees will have access to this info. What size PVC do you use for your ball barrels? Oh, wait, you use target balls don't you... whatever, the question still stands. Also, I was searching amazon and was looking at practice foam golf balls. I found some that were weighted as much as real golf balls via a weight at the center. Maybe something like that would help with accuracy, only thing is it might shoot too hard.

I believe you are correct, though I think we should stick to the same area. Packing up everything and heading to Renton will take too long.

Nerf balls: 1-1/2" thinwall PVC.
Target/Walmart yellow dimpled golf balls: 1-1/2" Sch40 PVC.
K-Mart/Fred Meyer assorted colors smooth golf balls: 1-1/4" thinwall PVC.

I also just found some knock-off mini vortex footballs at Michael's for $1 each. I might be bringing some of these too, though I haven't found pipe for them yet. They fit in a 1-1/2" coupler though.

I can vouch for Draconis's measurements. I just bought a bbbb, some sch 40 1 1/2 PVC, Some target practice golf balls and I have a ball shooting beast. I can't wait for this war.

Edit: In regards to TantumBulls post, I was range testing the non weighted Practice Golf balls, and they actually fly pretty strait. There were only a couple of shots were the ball shifted to the right about an inch mid flight. Other than that, I could hit a small window from about thirty feet away.

Shit, I hope I won't be outdone with my roto-rocket because of how long it takes to prime. Especially if you can only get the balls to go so far.
