I'm not saying this isn't a good idea, but you learn more on your own. My first mod was a Longshot with frontgun integration. By only tools were a bread knife and hot glue. After 2 months of tinkering with it, it finally worked perfect. Now I can (basic) mod Longshots without paying attention. Also it took me a month before I could figure out what to do with a Recon after it 'sploded.
Keep in mind I (almost) never follow writeups, I only use them to see what parts do what. Other then that I do it myself, my own way. The only writeup I followed was b00m13's mod contest Bow, which I had to improvise some parts that I didn't have.
The point it, you learn better from your own mistakes, and you get that much better by yourself and with you own intuition and insight.

I have one.The Manta is allowed because is is hard as hell to use, and no one has one.
But it's still hard as balls to block anything. The closest I've ever gotten is that a dart grazed the edge of the shield as I was trying to move it to block, and it still hit me.

If that's your strategy, you're never gonna get good hits on anyone.Remind me never to nerf with you if you run around aiming for peoples' heads.
Actually, I prefer to sharpshoot more than run around. Just don't stand still too long, and you'll be reasonably safe.
I feel bad for giving you flak about this like everyone else, but that's not the nerf mentality.
Although i must give you some credit, long blasters please me.

I don't think there is much of a difference between blasters as a "weapon class".
Games that allow certain blasters only are usually distinguished, like Gunslinger's. Single shot spring pistols ONLY. There are special rules depending how sane your organizer is, like games only with rapid fire blasters like Magstrike.
Other then that, carry what you want. You don't need to really worry about that stuff.

Longshot spring- Not very likely to break bolt sled.
Big Bad Bow Spring- Not very likely to break bolt sled.
Big Bad Bow and Longshot Spring- Likely to break due substantial stress.
Big Bad Bow and Longshot Spring with reinforcements- Won't break.
Put the 10 extra minutes in to reinforce it, you'll be glad you did.

Numbers don't mean anything, it's if you can actually hit something. If you can hit a moving target 180 ft away using an angled shot out of a bow that you need to hold rock steady while firing it, I will praise your skill.

The only problem I see is that you're going through all this work so you don't have to move your hand a few inches. Plus the button would need to be right next to the trigger for it to be effective, and you'd have to move the hand that primed the bolt back to holding position. What's another literal second if you're already moving your hand? This isn't impractical, it's just unnecessary.

I didn't even notice that until your post. I too think it's another turret.This one looks pretty cool, I have to admit. I swear that thing on the stock, the gray bulge that almost look like wheels, may be an extra turret. Swappable turrets could make these a really handy primary indoors. I'm excited.
