#229782 Magstrike Bladder To Titan Tank......instantly

Posted by PointBlank on 12 May 2009 - 10:47 AM in Modifications

Great idea, keep working on it and soon, that thing will make a great primary.

#229764 Code Name Serenity

Posted by PointBlank on 12 May 2009 - 06:44 AM in Modifications

I really like what you did with the pump. Also, very clean integration.

#229615 Pas Intergration

Posted by PointBlank on 11 May 2009 - 06:27 PM in Modifications

It doesn't seem all that stable, is there a possibility of putting the tank actually inside of the pump action part? Also, how hard is it to pump?

#229554 Tsunami Scattergun + Nightfinter

Posted by PointBlank on 11 May 2009 - 10:36 AM in Modifications

I think I would be more likely to hold it with the NF on the bottom. Anyways, nice mod.

#229295 Longshot With Pas

Posted by PointBlank on 09 May 2009 - 11:44 PM in Modifications

Good integration but like hi yah said, I don't think it's neccesary to integrate a primary into a primary.

But isn't it better to have the power of two primaries in one rather than carrying around two guns? I really like this mod.

#229294 Blaststrike

Posted by PointBlank on 09 May 2009 - 11:40 PM in Modifications

A couple questions.
1. Does it fire from where the darts used to come out? Or do you connect a barrel tube directly to the ball valve?
2. How long is that barrel? It's pretty massive looking.

#229293 Disk Shot Mod | Crayola Barrel | Vacuum Loads

Posted by PointBlank on 09 May 2009 - 11:33 PM in Modifications

The video isn't working for me, could you check and make sure that it is working?

#229291 Problem With Stefans

Posted by PointBlank on 09 May 2009 - 11:30 PM in Modifications

Slug pretty much summed it up. Basically, the faster the muzzle velocity of the gun, the more likely a lighter dart is going to flutter out of control. The weight keeps the dart going straight. Also, are your steffans too loose in the barrel?

#229071 The Nerf Tank, Flame Thread, No I Have Pictures Its Almost Done

So exactly how practical is this?

He actually said April fools at the bottom of his post, so no, it is not true.

#228784 Expanding Stefans

It sounds like something I will want to try.

Edit: Oops, I didn't see the bottom of the post. I cant wait to see them!

#228586 Guns Available At Madeinchina.com

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 04:37 PM in General Nerf

I am still trying to figure out why the "bbb" is called a "toy Airsoft Gun," when it clearly shoots darts.

Edit: I just noticed, on the "maverick" in the top right had corner of the packaging, it reads "Star Wars Battle Front."

#228549 Nerf "dog Tags"

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 03:20 PM in General Nerf

How much will you charge?

#228524 The Xbow And Lnl Debate

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 01:45 PM in General Nerf

I agree, but I still will probably end up getting a crossbow. I think that they are more of a collectors item than anything else. (Ok, I will admit that they are probably the best blaster out there)

#228513 Terminator;salvation!

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 12:04 PM in Off Topic

Well, it has a lot to live up to, and the fact that it doesn't have Schwarzenegger might influence the fan base. I suspect it will be very good, but not as good as the 3rd one.

#228484 Rotating Bolt Design.

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 07:05 AM in Homemades

Are you looking for the plans or the 3d model? Apparently, boltsniper never got around to putting up the 3d, but all the plans are right there on the page that carbon linked to.

#228483 My Arsenal

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 06:57 AM in Modifications

Sorry i'm a total noob to Nerfhaven thanks for telling me About the Thread. Is there anyway you can move a post to the paint job thread?

Here you go.

#228482 Nerf Claymore

Posted by PointBlank on 06 May 2009 - 06:52 AM in Homemades

Would it be possible for you to make a video of this thing shooting off? I am very confused, yet somehow intrigued in the whole idea of this.

Have you looked at the internals directory? You can see the difference in size.

#228098 Nf | Less Dead Space | Crayola Rebarrel | Sili Lubed.

Posted by PointBlank on 04 May 2009 - 11:59 AM in Modifications

I know that, I have high strength epoxy and heat activated epoxy. I can't use the first because it smells quite bad and my parents / neighbours complain if I use it inside or out. I use ventilation too. The second epoxy would've melted the part of the NF that the barrel is attached to or it would've melted the barrel. The epoxy wouldn't of melted it, the heat gun that I need to activate the epoxy would. I have no other adheisive either (besides hot glue).

You must have really demented epoxy... I know it smells bad, but the smell goes away after a while, and isn't that noticeable outside. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I seriously doubt that the smell could find its way all the way into your neighbor's houses.

#228090 Nf | Less Dead Space | Crayola Rebarrel | Sili Lubed.

Posted by PointBlank on 04 May 2009 - 10:35 AM in Modifications

How much difference in range does this have over a regular crayola barrel?

#227938 Switchshot Ex-3

Posted by PointBlank on 03 May 2009 - 05:26 PM in Modifications

One question, is the handle on the switch-shot the same as the recon?

You can use a toilet paper holder spring and use both at the same time, it adds about 40 feet to ranges.

40' extra range?? I highly doubt that... Is that angled or flat?

#227785 Question With Nitefinder

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 11:25 PM in Modifications

Yes, I was using a stock barrel, but a 25 ft difference over a barrel. I don't think so. For my weight I use airsoft bbs.

Actually, from a physics point of view, the extra time that the dart spends in the barrel while still being pushed by the air flow allows the dart to accelerate to a much to a higher velocity than that of a stock barrel. Because of the short length of the stock barrel, the dart is not able to use up all the air power that is produced by the plunger tube in your current set-up. That combined with the in-efficient weight of your air soft bbs, could easily account for the lack in distance. Also, the 80' is a bit of a stretch, I can never get past about 70'feet flat.

#227753 Question With Nitefinder

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 09:58 PM in Modifications

What weight were you using? Also, what kind of barrel were you using? If you were using stock, that's where the problem is, cpvc barrels are much better for ranges.

#227733 Ls/dtg Revisited

I really like the trigger method you used on the dtg.

#227711 Recon Forgrip Mod

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 07:14 PM in Modifications

Just as a suggestion, when taking pictures, unless your camera has a "close up" feature, you might need to hold it farther away, so as not to blur the picture. I would rather have a far away, good quality picture than a grainy close up.

#227708 Spackling Instead Of Bondo?

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 07:03 PM in General Nerf

I don't think spackle would be any good, and seeing as you can chip it off walls/ceilings, it probably wouldn't even stick to plastic.

#227705 Charity Nerf At Hospital

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 07:00 PM in General Nerf

I am assuming that modded guns would be a no-no? :P

#227704 X Men Origins: Wolverine

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 06:58 PM in Off Topic

I liked the special effects, but It was disappointing somewhat as it did not live up to it's hype, or the first two for that matter. I did not really like the ending either, it was a bit to sudden for my taste. I would give it 6 1/2 out of 10.

#227591 The Guardian

Posted by PointBlank on 02 May 2009 - 12:03 AM in Modifications

It's a really good concept, also very well executed.

EDIT: Forget about what I had said earlier, it got interpreted as complaining but it was just an observation..

#227586 Pointblank Titan

Posted by PointBlank on 01 May 2009 - 11:53 PM in Modifications

also sweet breech.

Thanks, I've actually received a bunch of requests to do a write-up for it, so that will be coming within the week. I need to finish some things up first.

#227583 Recon Forgrip Mod

Off topic: Holy crap dude, you are seriously lucky, you have received three final warnings and haven't been suspended yet.

On topic: I really am interested in what you have to say, could you please put up some pictures of what you are talking about? If this is not possible can you at least go into further detail? I am having trouble following.

I was wondering when you would post this here, thanks!

#227514 Plug Help

Posted by PointBlank on 01 May 2009 - 06:02 PM in Modifications

Epoxy is good because it is very permanent and you never have to worry about it again. I also like tape for some guns because it is reversible. If it is working for you, then you really don't need to change anything. They both function at equal levels.
