ALL minors are required to wear some form of eyewear. There isn't much shade anyway, so sunglasses wouldn't be a bad idea. Yes, RAMBO, this includes you. If you don't have eyewear, you don't play.

I'll be making posts with important information periodically, then linking to them on the first post. It is your responsibility to read them.

Player Responsibilities:
Lunch (Pack Light)
Sunscreen
Liquids - At least one gallon of water or gatorade
Nerf Guns - A least one primary and one pistol (spring)
Plenty of Ammo
Eye Wear (If under 18) - See below
Carry all items mentioned above
Clean up your mess - See below
Follow Instructions from the Field Supervisors - See below
Be in the parking lot by 10 AM


If you don't have Eye Wear, go to Walgreen's or CVS and buy a pair of cheapos. We have too many people coming to this war for people to not listen. If you're under 18, plan on wearing eye protection. The same goes for cleaning up your own mess: throw out the old flagging tape, water bottles, and lunch stuff. We're going to have players supervising each field to make sure things go smoothly; if they tell you something, listen. If you don't cooperate with us during this war, don't expect to be invited back. This isn't our home field and we want to do our best to respect it and the Horsemen. We hate to be pricks here, but in order to make sure people have fun all day long, we need to lay down rules that everyone must follow. A 50-60 person Nerf War can't be haphazardly run like most LCM wars and expect to provide a good experience for all.

That is being bounced back and forth among several vets at the moment. We'll post it when we have a version that most people are happy with.

There will definitely be sorting out here. After rounds there will probably be a community pile. Just take waht is your and return the rest and there shouldn't be a problem.

Well, I requested off for the 4th and 5th last week and talked to my boss about it. Today, I look on the schedule and guess who's working from 12-8 on Saturday the 4th?!

I really can't stand this job, that's the last straw and if I can't get those two days off, I'm fucking done.

I have a problem. My guest wears glasses and he has a very hard time seeing with them off. He has such a hard time, I doubt he'll be able to play without them on. What should I do as far as eye-protection is concerned?

Check Home Depot or another hardware store for safety glasses that go over regular glasses. He could also just use his regular glasses, and risk the damage. I do that, and have only come close once to damaging them.

Just buy him (or get him to buy) a pair of clear plastic safety glasses if he is uncomfortable with using his regular glasses as eye protection. Problem solved.

Bottom line is: he needs something to protect his eyes if he's under 18.

The question isn't really that he's unconfortable, it's whether you guys are considering glasses as eye protection. At least thats what I think he means. I also am in a similar situation, so any info would help.

Just thought I'd throw this out there for those concerned about prescription glasses, etc.

Home Depot carries side-shielding safety goggles that have special parts inside them which allow them to not only fit AROUND prescription glasses, but they clip onto them from the inside too, so the majority of the weight is still on the prescription glasses, making them just as comfortable as wearing just your glasses is normally. Benefit of familiarity in comfort, with the benefit of safety-rated goggles, while maintaining the benefit of the improvements to your eyesight prescription glasses give you.

To answer the most recent question: I see no problem with using prescription eye glasses as eye protection. I've done it before and have even been shot while wearing them, which parlays me into my next point. It wouldn't be a war without the guy who managed to plant a dart behind my glasses, Howard.

I haven't heard from CaptainSlug, so at this point I think it's safe to assume he's being held in some sort of Chinese prison / detention facility, and they're using him to build and army of evil robots, perhaps fembots; and take over the world.

Assuming CaptainSlug has indeed not returned home yet, and is still on foreign soil, I will be flying solo again for this one (which seems to be the on-going theme for this year's wars). If I don't hear from him soon, it looks like I'll be driving into the maelstrom for 7+ hours, by myself again, for this shit.
