If I'm gonna use a hopper on something it might as well be sweet as hell.
Posted Image
This is just a test setup to use at SPANO. I need to figure out the best dart door option and barrel length, but it works as is. I'll probably at least switch that dumb tube out for one with an endcap.

Version 2 is ten billion times better the first.

What's Better:
-replaced Big salvo tank with a BBBB
-more efficient trigger pull
-new polycarb bracket to hold pump
-no adhesives besides solvent weld to hold OPRV (V.1 had literally about a pound)
-Adjusted hopper to the side for a clear view

Posted Image

Posted Image

Even with no adhesives in the tubing, there are no leaks.

At 33" long, I'm not sure it qualifies as a 'bullpup' anymore. 10 strokes from the bike pump sends a slug 100'. No OPRV, so no war-usage, though the whole "pump ten times, then fire" makes it less-than war-worthy.

It was the Spy Gear Rocket Launcher a few posts above, but the stock OPRV was very low (two pumps.) Maybe it was a bum one. Maybe that's just how it's set.

Unlike SVT4B's, these don't have a screw on the back side to adjust the cracking pressure. From experimenting, driving a screw into the opening in the pump face seems to work, but too late now.

Got my Maximizer working again. Breaking the 100 ft mark consistently. Nothing crazy, but it shoots far enough.

This is my finished Big Bad Bow. I used it at Gear's Smedley war last week. I fixed my hornet air leak, and added a 4-way reloader. For some reason it can't use an RSCB or hopper. The gun singled though gets around 100ft.

Still don't know fully what the Hornet tanks get range-wise. But they're still useful for a quick close range back-up.

Nothing special yet. I had to cut the mag well off of my Recon to put on my Barricade, so I turned the rest of the gun into a handgun and spray painted the yellow plastic black. I will later redo the internals, but need to buy a few things for it first.
Posted Image

I also took what was left of a LSFG after the Front gun integration on my Longshot, and turned it into an attachable grip. Even though it is fugly, it is sort of ideal as it allows one to hold onto the front of the gun without a range restricting faux barrel attached. It also holds two extra darts on the top.
Posted Image

Since couplered water guns belong here, I assume marashmallow launchers do as well. I couplered a marshamllow launcher, reduced dead space, switched the side the hand grip was on, and slapped on a post to steady the end of the barrel. Yes, this one is also fugly. I can get about 35-40ft. on a good shot, but I prefer rear loading three stefans into the barrel and using it as a quick firing, close range shotgun.
Posted Image

They both perform pretty crappy, as one still has stock internals, but they are pretty fun to use.

I finally got my broken Mad Hornet working. When I bought it, the pump handle was cracked and only had about a 2 1/2'' stub left. Here's what it looks like now.

Posted Image

It has six 3'' PETG barrels and I glued a piece of CPVC onto the remainder of the pump head. I also had to add a PVC coupler around the end of the turret to keep it from popping out when the trigger was pulled. I had to cut off the original piece that did this when I was getting the broken pump head out. Ranges are still terrible, but I have a few things in mind to try and fix that.

My first ever mod attempt, simple Mass Effect N7 Styled Maverick.
I did this as a test run before I do my larger project the Stampede in a Mass Effect Style.
Matte Black and Aluminium with a shiny silver barrel and two blue LEDS
Only question now: to weather or not to weather?
Hmmmmmmmmm

PAS: Atomatron paintjob/tapejob, basic mods, soon to be upgraded with replacement internals.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

National Geographic Roto Rocket: Tilt safety removed, replaced the triangular screws with philips heads, easily removable coupler (part of a 1/2" PVC quick fix fitting). Attached to the Roto Rocket is a "shotgun hopper", inspired by something BOSS9 built a while back. It fires 4-5 darts per shot and shoots about as far as any legal single shot primary. Nicknamed "the date gun" by SonReeceSonJensen. He put it this way: "It's not diddle, it's legal, that's why it's the date gun."

Posted Image

Posted Image

Finally, the main event.

Sceptor: Couplered, reduced dead space, and replaced pump handle. The mods on the blaster itself are fairly basic, but what really makes a difference is the hopper/barrel setup. Attached to the Sceptor is a baby bottle hopper full of foam-rubber practice paintballs. Connecting the baby bottle hopper to the wye is a section of 1/2" Thinwall PVC. The barrel is 3/4" CPVC, which I managed to fit in the wye by expanding the front port with a drill/sanding drum.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

As much as people (myself included) ridiculed makeitgo about the baby bottle hopper when he first made it, it does in fact feed and fire respectably with the practice paintballs. I have not tested it with darts, but I doubt it would work nearly as well. I used this blaster more than any other blaster at SPANO and it did not let me down. The practice paintballs fire on par with slugs and with only a minor to unnoticeable pain increase according to other participants. I did not notice any major deviations on accuracy, either. To me, the small increase in pain is worth it for inexpensive, manufactured and consistent ammo. In addition, there's no risk of exposed metal and no risk of metal weights separating from the dart body. Glue domes and dangerous slugs most likely hurt much more than the practice paintballs. Now, I'm not trying to turn Nerf into paintball, let me make that clear. I do not expect these to become widely popular, but I think certain sects of Nerfers may find them useful for certain applications. When I have the chance, I'll be doing more thorough, comparative, and scientific testing on these practice paintballs.

Added a bushing to the front and a wye to the pump handle, pretty basic.

Sceptors are overrated. I got some shit done.

Super clean angel breached dongshot, it looks stock.

I modded my Zurg ball blaster that I got from Goodwill for $2. I upgraded the plunger tube to turret seal, closed the giant holes in the front of the plunger tube, and put on 6" barrels. I actually has a extension spring in it instead of a compression spring. The plunger tube is nearly the same size as a plusbow's and It has 3" of draw.

Super big holes in the front of the plunger tube.

Also my maxshot, same mods as zorns.

Combo breakers are no fun :( Damn you amazon and your slow handling!

Anyway here's my Sceptor:

Custom stock.
Posted Image

Took about an hour and a half to build. The blaster itself took 30 minutes due to taking write up pictures. The stock took an hour to design and build, mostly due to the fact that I'm a complete idiot and cut 3, 6" nylon rods first instead of 2, 9" ones, then scrambling to find more nylon rod. I'll be relocating the tank sometime soon.

Here is my Crossfire, modded to be pump action.
The gun cocks by pulling the barrel back, then forward.

It shoots about 40ft flat, not to bad for a 5" long pistol.

Made a firing video for the Sceptor I posted a couple posts back in this thread. As you can see there are a few misfires, but definitely not more than I typically experience using slugs in a hopper setup. At the end you'll notice my difficulty in getting the balls to feed correctly. This is due to the lack of weight on top of the balls being fed in, which causes them to fly backwards into the hopper when the blaster is fired. Maintaining a minimum amount of balls in the hopper alleviates this problem.

I guess I'm a cool guy now for modding a Sceptor. Still needs some god awful colored tape on the hard tank to complete the look, or maybe I'll wrap it in those shorts behind the thing.
