Quick question: plusbows or crossbows with plusbow springs are definately allowed?

Crossbows and Plusbows are allowed, yes. As for the spring replacement in the crossbow...why wouldn't it be? Feel free.

Hell yeah.

Midwest represent!

I'm going to buy my ticket soon hopefully. As soon as Carbon and I can pick a flight.

Edit: You can add me to the attendance list.

Ah, yes.

One more thing I wanted to mention.

Since this is going to be one of the best nerf wars in history, why not make it the best, by having Piney show up?

After that I think all we can hope for is sun, a cool breeze, and lots of mayhem.

As much as it pains me to say it, take me off the attendance list. I'm going to be having a possible family event around then...namely, family expansion...and jetting off to California probably isn't the best idea anymore.

Slim consolation is still getting to meet the California Crew at the SOF war...see you this summer.

Bringing another Carbon nucleus into the world? If so, congratulations, man!

Thanks for the compliment, FH, but I don't think my presence would necessarily make it "the best". It would be most interesting to see a gathering of really old-ER nerfers shootin' it up. Perhaps a "seniors" shootout? :) Winner is the one who hasn't coughed up a lung or who can remember their name at the end of the round.

But my life is also taking a tremendous turn (the place I've been running for the last six years is being sold and I'm being transferred / moving back to the big city from this tiny island in June), and financially, it's tough for me even to take a small vacation in THIS state (island-hopping), so I'll definitely have to enjoy 'geddon from the computer and seeing all the footage to come.

We plan our every-other-year trip to the land of the Mouse (right there in SoCal), and our next one is next year (we were just there January 2008), and we usually travel in the tail end of winter (prices are great and the park is quite manageable)... so I don't know if something around that time would be more our deal. My son is now 12 and I think he'd be able to hold his own in a larger organized war.

Have fun; this is going to be a great year to be a Nerfer.

-Piney-

PS: and Carbon, if it is as Bob had said, and the family "expansion" is on, congrats, dude!

Alright, folks, it's only four months away. For the sake of those traveling, I'd like to remind you all that if you don't have a flight (or whatever means for travel you're planning to use) booked/worked out already, you need to take care of that immediately. Prices are already starting to go up for the summer. In addition to that, would the travelers who I have promised housing please email me at foamfalcon@gmail.com so we can discuss pickup arrangements and the like? Thank you!

Also, I would like to bring to everyone's attention my most recent update to the first post in the thread, on page one. Southern California has gained several players recently who have been coming with parents and older siblings to our events who are very young, and due to the nature of Armageddon, I have to ask that you not bring them along with you. There will be far too many people moving far too quickly in groups and the like, making it a VERY hazardous place for the younger ones. Please take this notice seriously, as I look forward to running a smooth, clean event without having to deal with any disagreements on this matter. Thank you for your understanding!

I have caught some pneumonia recently, and I don't want to spend any extra money on ticket insurance in case I die, so I'm holding off buying my ticket until I am better.

Oh wait... that's retarded, yet semi-logical.

Unfortunately, you'll have to count me out for this year. I just won't have the time or the funds available with grad school and all. See some of you at APOC though.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Also in this war my friend will be using a pistol splat. Does this count as a pistol during pistol rounds.

That explains why whenever I log on here I seem to hear the words "pistol" and "splat" pinging incessantly inside my head.

Edit: Now that I think about it, in the last five war threads I've read someone HAD to ask if they could use the pistol splat during pistol rounds.

We're not discouraging people from joining a Nerf forum, we're discouraging them from joining this forum. It's an important distinction because, frankly, we don't give a shit. The Haven was created to escape the idiotic masses, now they're all here. -cxwq

Falcon- Can people use a pistol splat during pistol rounds?

I got this, my name may not be falcon, but trust me... I'm qualified to give you an answer.

Since their rise to popularity on our coast(thanks to mua), we've rarely allowed pistol splats in our Pistol rounds, and even though I'm a proud user of them in most of our standard rounds, I have no complaints in this matter, because relative to pretty much all other "pistol class" nerf weapons, Pistol Splats are considerably stronger, well, some are. the newer orange/yellow "wipeout" ones are much weaker, but still they outclass a quality NF or TTG, and as such, 95% of the time we ban them from pistol rounds, the exception to this rule is when the pistol round is an unplanned round played by folks who stay behind on the lunch break.

So, it's highly unlikely we'll allow pistol splats during pistol rounds at Armageddon.

I'm questionable this year. No idea what my school schedule will be, and the money situation is not looking good at the moment. We'll see.
