I do believe this will be the first Nerf gun that the plunger is powered by the batteries.

The belt casing is not very wide so I can only assume they have designed new smaller belts.
If this is the case, then I think they may have gone with an idea I had a long time ago.
A belt that is similar to the RF20 turret. but instead of round it is straight and slightly flexible.
Each belt will have around 5 barrels and flexible ends so the attached belts can fold one on top of the next.

I believe on the other side of the Vulcan is where the spent belts will spit right out. Now if belts are designed in this fashion then it is safe to say that the end of the plunger tube will look similar to a RF20, MS, PC and WF.

Also because of the safety upgrades Nerf has done over the years I think it is safe to assume that every barrel on every belt will have Air restrictors.

Now if it is plunger powered and the plunger is powered by the batteries then there is little hope for huge modifications because the motors can only compress certain strength springs.

I am excited for this beast and can almost guarantee it will be one of my big projects.
I wonder what the video will look like for this one.

EDIT: The one thing I HATE about this gun is it has a cost per shot.

cost per shot?

Also, I was kind of "oh I'm a poor college student so I won't buy it," but just looking at the thing makes me want it.

ooohhh, ooohhh!!!! What if the chains are detachable? Can we make them out of PETG? How many batteries does it take to operate a 7 inch vibrator? That should give us a good idea of its power, no? Where is Alberta Canada anyway? Do you think they'll make it in different colors? SPECULATION!!!!!

Hey, I just want a nerf gun I can mount on a steadycam harness so I can take down those damn Alien costume guys that show up to all the comic cons. Is that so wrong?

Posted Image

Honestly, I thought it looked more like a SAW than a Smartgun when I first saw it. I love the Alien movies, but this barely resembles a Smartgun. Although I do like your Idea of using a steadycam harness.

I still think the little orange box on the side is a battery holder, and you put the chain in from the other side.

What the fuck are up with those chains...

Looks like alot of useless plastic, and would be a pain to do a barrel replacement.

Nevertheless this is what I've always wanted. If only my friend were still at his old house... A couple of these out the windows would be awsome.

I like the look of that thing! The chains look cool, but I can't really seem to see a way to connect them together. It's also nice to see the box. The release of this may be sooner than we think it's they have that box and everything done, but I know very little about the design process so that could mean nothing about the release date.

The chain appers to have the AR in it.

Also, where does the chain come out after it has been fed through the gun.

I don't think that's it because if they did come in from the right side, they'd have to come out into the box on the left.

Just like someone said on HQ, this gun may actually be made like an airsoft AEG. If so then this would definetly be my new primary, because of the way the plunger is pushed back aoutomatically, this should be able to get amazing ranges, even if it has a bad spring. I cant wait to see what Angel can do here ;)

Yeah. They added a Adult and a Woman!
Just if people don't get that ^ (cleavage).

It looks really cool that you could attach all the chains like that.

It be be great for inside wars, or for imaseoulman's idea.

The adult on the box makes me think that maybe, just maybe, this gun will have more stock power than other guns.

I don't see much potential for modification, but damn is it stylin'.

That's either an adult, or a really ugly kid with a mullet. I actually prefer the second, just because if NERF put adults on thier gun boxes, that would be a little creepy. Then again, maybe they are targeting the older Nerfers/modders like us.

They think we like guys/extremely ugly kids with mullets with man boobs?...

If that is on the box then I am going to have to seriously think over my decision to purchase one of these...

How do you know, do you use them often?

I really like how Streamlines aren't used this time. So we know the chains enter from the right based on the box. Which means the empty cartridges enters the box on the other side. This gun looks compact based on where the components ( battery, plunger system, motor) go.

If the chain goes into the other end, what's the point of the boxy-thingy? Is it cosmetic? Maybe to clear jams? Just wonering.

Chain goes in the box and goes out the other side after being fired.
Notice that the shells don't have any darts in them.
Chain also looks wearable.
Also this is a great shot because they caught him in mid fire; notice a dart flying, it is under the barrel on the picture on the box!

As for the guy on the box, isn't it just a fat kid?
