The gun isn't his, it belongs to a friend of his, so I'm assuming nobody's asked for internals because they don't want him to ask his friend for too much.

That's exactly right. He's asked his friend for ranges and still hasn't gotten them, so internal pics are prbably not going to happen any time soon. The topic, and the pics, were only there to show that the Vulcan has been released, they had noting to do with it's mod potential.

If Jamie hadn't moved away, I would've been to his place last week and gotten measurements, internal pics, and had carnal knowledge of the Vulcan. Ahem.

As it is, I highly doubt I'll be able to convince him to open up the gun. He doesn't mod at all, and the Vulcan is *not* the gun you want to start modding with.

I do hope to get some ranges, info about how its battery-operated mode seems to work, noise-level, etc. when I can get ahold of him. I'll also ask him to scan/photograph the manual.

In the meantime, commenting on his Flickr photos may make him more willing to help. A few 'thanks for the pics!' even would be nice.

I live on LI, I believe I got my recon in mid January, does anybody remember when the first confirmed recon sighting was? If so, the same window will probably apply to when the vulcan will show up on the east coast.

The first first recon for sale was on Amazon by some guy that was on the forums, at around November.

If the time window for the Recon holds true, that means it won't be until September that the Vulcan comes out in IL. And that's when it's supposed to be released. Dang!

I'm not sure that's true, I remember the November thing, but that wasn't actually in stores. I'm willing to bet that us over on the east coast can expect to see this on the shelves by mid August.

I have read that the vulcan is coming out this monday ( july 21) and I am so pumped to get it, even if it sucks its gonig to be great for indoor wars and for shooting my dog or little sis if i get bored, and im sure you all know and have seen the "great office war" on youtube, but for people who havent, this this gun is pretty big and looks heavy

...and thought everyone would like to see it. Yeah, just another place to buy it, but this one is the value pack with extra ammo & strap. Still not available yet, but I thought it was worth posting. I found it interesting that the value pack one in the link and the regular one with 1 chain were both the same price.

Nice to see another colorado nerfer. Although I dought that there are vulacans there because I have not seen any and I would probably see them before you as I live closer to Denver.

It was at a Walmart. I can't be sure of the city though. It was on Nerf HQ and was mentioned on page 45 and 46 of this topic.

It says its in stock now! Time to meticulously look over every single inch of the nearest Wal-Marts and Targets for them....
