Hasbro originally said they were releasing it in the fall, but they may be planning to release it early. I don't think anyone knows at this point.Has anybody found any specific release dates?

Hehehehe, back in the sadle, huh Dave? Still not addicted to Heroin? No? Good, that's real good. Guess I won't feel as guilty next time I suspend you. Don't pick up where you left off, let this thread die.
Please don't joke about heroin addiction. I used heavily back in middle and high school and ever since I accepted christ I haven't touched it. it's not an easy drug to quit, no sir.

This contest may have some flaws, as people can simply be a deuschbag over the internet. By Lying.
A war-like setting/invitational would be better...

If you were stupid enough to get hooked on heroin then you deserve to be made fun of. Dont push your drug beliefs on other people, especially not in a nerf forum. Go to itookheroinandbecamechristian.com and rant about it there.

But yeah, I expect no more discussion about drugs, from anyone else here in this thread. I hope I have made that clear now. If there are any issues, take them over PM.

Oh yeas, the Vulcan. If nothing else, this gun is going to be a bitchin' recruiting piece.

I count about 28, maybe 32 tops screws, so not that bad.Holy crap, look at the screws on that thing! Dear God Almighty, DO NOT WANT. Although that front end with what's surely a faux barrel looks real good, I count 11 screw holes on that section alone...

Yeah, I got the fact that they are probably talking about (what we normally call) a plunger. And, actually, the main thing that made me think that you can single fire is the sentence after the sentence I quoted:Like Slug said, the people who wrote the article don't really know what they're talking about. When they say "pneumatic pump" they might be thinking of a plunger. Because if you look before the words you quoted, it says "Like many other NERF guns..."
"[The Vulcan] has a pneumatic pump that's used to fire off single rounds. But six D batteries turn the hybrid Blaster into a foam shooting [fully automatic] gun."
In my opinion, such a comparison makes me think that it has two modes of fire: LS-mode, and full-auto mode. I could be wrong, though; I was just excited at the possibility. Personally, after Slug's statements, I tend to think that my initial reading was incorrect.I can dream, though, can't I? No, I can't any more...Why must you crush my dreams? Why?!?!

it's belt-fed with 25 shots a belt, possibility of extra belts being purchasable, has a single-shot or full auto mode, and shoots a new form of DtD without the velcro on it, possibly hailing back to the old megas that the DT3 used, just with a DtG Tip
i want one!

EDIT: Good luck opening it up to get to the inside. . I will have to add this to my TF2 Nerfed Video collection as the heavy weapons guy.
EDIT II: Now that i think about it, the box is probably a housing for the batteries, allowing the gun to be full auto, pardon me if this has been suggested already.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that it fires Sonic Micros - you know, the ones that whistle when you fire them out of anything with sufficient power (i.e. isn't stock).
To quote Gizmodo's article:
N-STRIKE VULCAN EBF-25
(Ages 6 years & up/Approximate Retail Price: $39.99/Available: Fall 2008)
The top-of-the-line blaster for mission supremacy, the NERF N-STRIKE VULCAN EBF-25 blaster is a 25-dart belt-fed fully automatic blaster that will intimidate any opponent. This impressive blaster comes complete with a fold-up tripod to steady your aim, 25 sonic micro darts that whistle through the air when launched and a 25-dart belt. The NERF N-STRIKE VULCAN EBF-25 blaster features the Tactical Rail System allowing players to customize their blaster for each mission - for example, players can use the green 'night vision' Tactical Light accessory (sold separately) for nighttime missions. Six "D" batteries are required but not included.

If you weren't paying attention, it will come packaged with the sonic darts. And all the stuff you said has been established already. From what i can see, that article, and the pics of "Titan" firing it

Well, it comes on a tripod, if it is good I can imagine it being a highly effective weapon for capture the flag, humans vs. zombies, and assassins. Let's hope it is air powered and not battery powered, that is if (big if) the 6-D batteries are only used for advancing the belt.
I think its battery powered. why would you need 6 d batteries to move a chain?
Ummm... that's why I said BIG IF. Besides, this is before we had pictures of the damned thing, it is brutally obvious now that it doesn't not use an air bladder/tank since there is no pump anywhere attached to it at all.

I see promise in this gun, as long as Hasbro doesn't screw it up. Even then, though, we might be able to fix it.

I don't plan on making any nerf gun my bitch.
More like creating it into some kind of monster.
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.
