I don't think this has been discussed yet, but how loud do you think this is going to be?

I've read people's posts mentioning how the 6 batteries are going to make this gun too heavy. I'm sorry, but if you can't comfortably lift an item that holds 6 D batteries either you are 7 years old or you need to start lifting weights. I think the extra weight in this gun is preferable; it makes it feel like a massive machine gun!You could modify this, Instead of having the mechanisms run by battery, you could run it by crank, no? Would make it lighter...
Precisely. You might as well get a razorbeast then and save yourself some time.

How come no one ever intends to create a pun? Whenever I make a pun it is always intended. There's nothing wrong with puns.

Well it's embarrassing. I mean, OBVIOUSLY I totally intended that pun, but if I had admitted it people would have called me a cock-jockey. I am NOT a jockey; I'm a fucking stallion!

I’ve got a hypothesis about the mechanics of this gun, based on what we know about the current line, the pictures we’ve seen, and Hasbro’s previous trends.
Observations:
1. The shells are the barrels. This gun shoots Sonics, so there can’t be a tighter barrel in front of it. As such, the shell is the entire barrel, similar to the Mav for the Firefly.
2. The barrel is not fixed to the air supply…similar to the Mav and Firefly.
3. Hasbro likes reusing internals. Maverick, Firefly, DTG.
Hypothesis:
It’s a battery powered Maverick.
EBF can be Electric Belt Fed. It's also Electric Beltfed Firefly.

No, just that the "barrels" (shells) are moving past an air source in the same fashion (and with most likely the same air delivery) as a Firefly. To clarify, your hypothesis is that it has six "gatling" barrels in the internals? If so, I thing they'd have worked them into the external design to evoke a minigun.

I hope that it's not a battery-powered maverick. With such a big gun, why wouldn't they use a longshot plunger?
I'd like to add that since the gun is utilizing big sonic darts, we can modify the belt-fed shells to accept a smaller dart, which should theoretically help increase range.
Furthermore, if you use darts without a big tip, such as the streamline, you can replace the front barrel with a better fitting pipe to make it effective.

Because it would take a ton of power to be able to put it back, and it would be just easier to use a maverick plunger. Remember Nerf doesn't make blasters for us to modify. They make them for the masses that don't modify.I hope that it's not a battery-powered maverick. With such a big gun, why wouldn't they use a longshot plunger?
It uses micros not megas, so we could make it shoot nanos, but that doesn't really add much (it may add in distance, but it looses accuracy due to the weight of the nano). Your second part is right though. it looks like you could add 4" barrels into the belt because of how it holds the stock darts.I'd like to add that since the gun is utilizing big sonic darts, we can modify the belt-fed shells to accept a smaller dart, which should theoretically help increase range.

If 4 AA batteries can pull back the plunger in my mini airsoft aeg (which is slightly smaller than a maverick plunger), I'm willing to guess that 6 D batteries can power a longshot plunger.Because it would take a ton of power to be able to put it back, and it would be just easier to use a maverick plunger.
Thanks for clearing that up.It uses micros not megas
