Haha, I take shitty pictars, so don't expect it to be... quite what you expect... There's not much room to prance around as I know you like to...

Rambo, not that I ever really care what you have to say, but who is that comment directed at?
Nerfer34 because he mentioned dancing?
Dark Shrimp because he mentioned open fields?
Myself because I mentioned pictures?
All of us as a group as would normally be assumed by the absence of a proper noun?

This war is going to kick ass, complete and utter catastrophe is unavoidable.

Ah, you're right Rambo. My mistake, it's perfectly obvious now and after re-reading my copy of 'Rambo's Rules of Forum Posting' I see that it's even printed on page 5. I apologize.

Thanks for the update. How far are most of you guys coming from? It's an hour and a half drive for me (will take me like 15 minutes at the speeds I go along the NJ Turnpike). :P

Just wanted to let you know that Maryann and I are still coming, but we are going to about an hour late. Maryann started a new job with rather annoying hours. She doesn't get out of work until 10 AM, so I may need help getting to the actual staging grounds inside the woods. I don't quite recall how to get there from the Legion property.

There's about a 40% chance that I can come at the moment. Next Friday I'll have a definite answer.

I'm coming from Burlington Township, NJ (Intersection of exit 47 on 295 and exit 5 on NJ Turnpike)..

Hey guys, a few questions. My nephew wants to come. He's 6, and I have a nice primary and sidearm he can use, as well as a face mask. Small kid, pretty good shot, and can be a lot of fun. You guys think it's okay or not? I just want to know ahead of time so I can break the news to him. He's pretty pumped up about it though.

Also, how much ammo do you guys normally bring? I have 100 stefans, my primary holds about 60, and my two sidearms about 20 total. Oh you guys are gonna love my primary if I get it finished in time. Air seal problems at the moment.

I usually go through about 200 or so stefans per war.
At this fields its very easy to loose darts, so don't expect to be leaving with many.

And what do you mean by "my primary holds about 60, and my two sidearms about 20 total."?
Is that with ammo holders or barrels...?

It means like my primary is an LS with 6 10 shot clips.. so on and so forth. SMDTGs hold 3 with ammo holders for 3 more.

Any ideas on my nephew?

As far as the basics of a 6-year-old nerfing, aslong as he can handle getting shot with modified guns, then he should be fine. We have had little kids play in the past and they haven't caused too many problems.

My only issue would be with this field in particular. This place has a lot of exposed re-bar and holes in the concrete, and one of the two fields has some twenty-foot ledges, without any type of lip or railings.

Again as far as actual nerfing, I wouldn't see any issues with him playing, but the bigger worry for me would be that this site can be pretty dangerous if someone isn't watching their step.

But I'm also not the host either, so I obviously can't tell you not to bring him.

I just don't think this is the right venue for a 6 year old's first war. The safety reasons cited above are concern #1, but curtesy to your fellow nerfer is a consideration as well. Regardless of how well behaved or mature the little guy is, bringing him along is demanding that all the other participants alter their behavior and play in order to acomodate you. I'm a strong believer in bringing him to very small (you and your friends) wars until he gets a little older. When he's old enough to honestly be treated like anyone else, he's prolly ready to come out.

Cool. Thanks. It's good just to get a definitive answer.

I've seen the list of banned guns but I had questions on a few.
Are traps allowed?
Are homemades allowed?
Are hpa/co2 guns allowed?

Thanks.

If you can make a trap that will actually work, I'd like to see it. Homemades are generally banned, unless they suck. If it won't do much damage it'll probably be ok. Realistically, cannons that take too long to prime are just as useless as traps. Finally, CS has used HPA for his MagStrike for a while. Those would fall under the the same regulations as homemades.

As the host, I would allow it if it were any other venue ( with a warning to you that it would tarnish your reputation in the eyes of many people [not myself much, but others] if he was not as mature as you made him sound ). However, as others mentioned this venue is far too dangerous. As a clumsy person, I'm almost always nervous on this field. Not to say that your nephew is clumsy, but he's 6... I know when I was six and my brothers were in their early teens I always got over anxious to do things with them. It almost always lead to my carelessness and injury. I have to speak from personal experience and say that all participants must be at least 10 and have parent approval to participate. Anyone over 12 will not need parent approval.

Also, how much ammo do you guys normally bring? I have 100 stefans, my primary holds about 60, and my two sidearms about 20 total. :) Oh you guys are gonna love my primary if I get it finished in time. Air seal problems at the moment.

I usually manage with 100, but the venue makes generally steals darts like no other...

This makes my CPVC fit stock darts perfectly. They slide right in, without having to twist or turn.

Oh, crap. That's going to get added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole by one of you wierdos, isn't it?

Just a note to all coming. Bring plenty of cash, as I will have LOTS of guns and other stuff for sale. Notable guns include a SM5k, SM1.5k's, at2k's, and possibly a FEW LnL's among many other guns. I'm really hoping to get rid of some stuff. Of course, PETG will be there as well. Save on the shipping, and buy it there.

Will you please make stefans for sale? I can make stefans, but mine are just better then stock darts, and I hate making them. I only have black and grey fbr, so even when I make one, I lose after the third or fourth shot because it blends in my surroundings. If you could even bring colored fbr, preferably red, that wpuld be a big help, and I would buy a large quantity.

P.S. I've been told that you make very good stefans, thats why I'm asking.

I'm depressed right now. I need a new spring for my ls, and the one I want is from the firefly, but I don;t have the money to buy the firefly before the war, and even if I did, I put the firefly spring in my old LS and the boltsled snapped. I need a way to reinforce my boltsled and get a spring before the war. Is anyone else having the same problems, because my LS isn't even shooting stefans as far as stock darts. It might be cause it's cold at my place, but right now, all my guns suck, even my BBB, cause the barrel is small and it takes forever to load a dart. The same stefans were tested against stock darts in other guns, and they went further. I need some help with my ls at the war, any volunteers?

P.S. I don;t have the firefly spring from my old LS because I put it in my friends gun.

The Stock inner barrel (into which the breach extends) on an LS is a very tight fit. Stock darts are thinner than stefans and fit nicely within, but stefans are much tighter and require more preasure to be fired well. But it's a moot point, no one's gonna spend 20 minutes takeing apart your LS at the war.

Instead, just fix your BBB. Do the coupler mod we suggested and nest some PETG (OMC will have plenty, trust me) inside a length of 1/2 pvc. Better yet, bring 2x 12" lengths of 1/2" PVC and we'll make you a nice functional flip breach in all of 1 minute.
