I like it. That priming bar and it's tendency to break has been pissing me off. I modded a PAS for a friend and he hasn't taken the best care of it. I may just try this except substitute an aluminum rod instead of cpvc. Kudos for figuring a way around that problem.

I could see how it could be made into a pistol but in my honest opinion I think it is fine the way it is. relocating the pump would make it look stupider than it already looks and probably make it harder to pump to boot.

Just how large is that pump? Anyone think it might be large enough to equal 3-4 pumps of an AT2k pump? Because if it is, it's screaming "pair with an AT2k tank and make it a pump-action air-powered weapon of doom".

considering it doesn't take too much to prime the chamber I think it can afford to hold a 2k chamber as well. I may try it out and see what happens

It's important to make sure your stuff works and will get the job done too. You don't want your flashlight to crap out on you while you are wandering to the bathroom. I stand by surefire in that respect. A good knife is definitely important. I carry around a fancy survival fixed blade strapped to my leg but that's just me.

There's no getting around the fact that you'll have to open the thing up. If you want something fairly easy with ok ranges then I'd stick to the Ar removal/nitefinder spring addition as suggested by others. You could look into making your LS into a carbine so you won't have to mess around with finding suitable barrel material.

I'm out shooting my crossbow with it. Didn't officially range test it but I don't think I need to. It's not silent, but it really isn't loud either.

I saw first hand how these shorts would be useful. my drop-leg got twisted and mixed up on my leg so much from the running and jumping that I just tossed it at one point.

Nice job. I seriously just bought and modified that gun today. I think that crazy long brass barrel is a wee bit excessive though. I slapped a coupler on it and have been using an 8 inch barrel. I've been getting similar ranges. Taking it to a war tomorrow actually.

I have a UTG drop leg holster too. It works alot better than the other one I have and I didn't have to stretch it or anything to accommodate the gun. great idea though. my leg straps always seem to shift a bit when I run.

I didn't even plug mine and I'm getting acceptable ranges with 10 pumps. 15 does give it the extra oompf in range but I'd say the valve kicks in at around 20 pumps.

Why not use a section of drinking straw that you fill with the putty to a certain length, and then cut off and insert into the dart? Might be an easier way to come up with a standard weight. Or would that interfere too much with a dart head bending when used in a hopper?

My calendar is free. I don't expect anything to interfere, so count me in.

Would it be possible for me to purchase some slugs/friendlier darts from someone? I'd like to bring a group of my students with me if possible, and I don't have the time to sit down to make any sort of darts. And since all I've got are domes, the only blasters I'd be able to use are my ball guns. That's fine with me, but most of my students aren't much for that.

I believe the in line clip on the at2k you were referring to had the check valve on the back and it was used for loading darts instead of using a cap.

I would also highly recommend bringing in a sample of PETG with you if you decide to buy some SCH 80 at a local store. I've found that the ID sometimes vary and have accidentally bought some SCH 80 that fit my PETG too tight or didn't fit them at all.
