#296963 Redirections

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 31 March 2011 - 01:38 PM in Site Feedback

You are not at risk of receiving malware, the file was taken down long ago. Also I can't believe your name hadn't been taken.

#296961 Redirections

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 31 March 2011 - 01:09 PM in Site Feedback

As you know Nerfhaven has been being redirected to brokon pornfilledvirus.exe. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, but in the meantime disabling javascript for forum.nerfhaven.com fixes this. If you don't know how to do this google search, and or use noscript. Also I'm told that the lofi version works, but can't confirm this. http://nerfhaven.com...rsion/index.php

Thanks.

#291161 Site Linking Help

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 19 December 2010 - 01:16 PM in General Nerf

Basically, only paste the url after you click the hyperlink button (the earth with chains).

This will automatically add bbc tags for you.

#295575 Valve Question

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 08 March 2011 - 04:36 PM in General Nerf

I'm probably missing the point, but why couldn't you just use a 1" ball valve?

#292570 Calling All Texan Nerfers 2

Unfortunately I will be unable to attend this war, but definitely want to get involved with the texas nerf scene. Who all here is from texas?

#296094 Turn Any Webpage Into Katamari!

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 March 2011 - 08:37 AM in Off Topic

If a topic sharing something entertaining that you may not otherwise know about isn't the point of the off topic forum, I'm damned if I know what it's for. Also it works great on facebook.

#296112 Turn Any Webpage Into Katamari!

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 March 2011 - 03:20 PM in Off Topic

Fixed it, i think it was a word filter. Not sure if it works in IE but it would definitely work better in something like chrome.

#296062 Turn Any Webpage Into Katamari!

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 15 March 2011 - 05:07 PM in Off Topic

Paste this in the URL bar after deleting the space in "javascript" I don't know why it's there and I can't seem to delete it.

javascript:var i,s,ss=['http://kathack.com/js/kh.js','http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js'];for(i=0;i!=ss.length;i++){s=document.createElement('script');s.src=ss[i];document.body.appendChild(s);}void(0);

#292745 Which Outputs More Air

Around 50 feet, I believe.

#294915 Happy 17th!

Happy birthday, Jake! May a squadron of beautiful vaginas find their way to your crotch by day's end.

#293498 The "official" Texas War Thread

College station is doable for me too (About an hour)

#293488 The "official" Texas War Thread

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 28 January 2011 - 10:22 AM in Nerf Wars

I live about an hour northwest of Houston and want to get involved in the Texas nerf scene.

#293531 The "official" Texas War Thread

Maybe we could find somewhere more in between then.

#295412 Help! I Need Help Puting My Raider Back Together

Here's a picture of the raider internals:

Try to mimic that as much as possible. If you have a specefic part that you don't know where it goes then ask and I'm sure you'll receive help. For future reference the admins here really like people to solve their own problems before asking for help. Again, if you don't know where a part goes we'd be happy to help, but we aren't going to hold your hand through the entire process.

Also we're picky about spelling and grammar here, so try to spellcheck your posts before hand to be safe.

#292385 My Spring Chamber Modification

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 07 January 2011 - 02:50 PM in Modifications

I believe the u3 already does something similar to solve the "air gulp" issue.

I can't find a link right now, but they essentially did the same thing.

#292942 The Mave

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 January 2011 - 03:26 PM in Modifications

Pretty good for a first writeup. Perhaps you could consider replacing the plunger o ring if maximum seal is your goal.

#292386 Foamtalk: A Nerf Podcast

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 07 January 2011 - 03:00 PM in General Nerf

Huzzah!

I recently finished all the old foamtalks and am eagerly awaiting more.

#292876 Mcmaster Carr Foam

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 15 January 2011 - 04:54 PM in Darts and Barrels

I'm currently using it as my primary foam and I in my experience the following is true:

It has a slightly larger diamater than most other foams

It has a tight twist in cpvc

It's a bit tight for an airgun fit in thickwall petg.

It fits mcmaster petg (9245K25) Great for a springer.

A good airgun fit for it is mcmaster part 48855K21.

The density is all right, better than most other venues but not as good as swiftnerf or b1g13en foam.

Please not that this is all after heating.

#292941 Mcmaster Carr Foam

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 January 2011 - 03:24 PM in Darts and Barrels

Mcmaster is the only provider that carries this exact foam. Buying elsewhere will result in a different fit.

20 feet of mcmaster foam is part 93295K33.

250 feet is 93295K43.

#293995 Bb Ultimate Berserker

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 06 February 2011 - 02:10 PM in General Nerf

It's the admin's attempts to keep faggotry out of the forums. Words like the "sniper" and "epic" aren't welcome here.

#292016 Hoppers W/ Pistols

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 01 January 2011 - 05:14 PM in Darts and Barrels

For a nf hitting approx 60 feet a 3 dart inline clip seems to be optimal.

#294629 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 17 February 2011 - 04:52 PM in Modifications

If you have problems with cpvc being too tight, this is what I personally do

here

Don't do that, there's a reason that thread was closed and you received a scathing comment from Talio.

#294586 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 16 February 2011 - 06:33 PM in Modifications

Your best bet is to put a cpvc coupler on the night finder plunger tube (either epoxying one inside of the plunger tube after dremeling to fit or put a 3/4 pvc coupler over the plunger tube, nest a 3/4 to 1/2 inside that and hammer a sanded down cpvc coupler into that" Then use 3-4 inches of cpvc depending on mods done.

#294680 Barrel Material For Stock Micros

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 18 February 2011 - 01:55 PM in Modifications

I would actually recommend mcmaster petg over cpvc but I doubt you are comfortable with mcmaster judging by your post quality.

Short answer as stated numerous times is to attach a cpvc coupler to the plunger tube. To answer your question there is no "definitive answer" because this is all subjective.

#295313 Stampede Broke.....

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 03 March 2011 - 09:34 PM in Modifications

i know this sounds really irrelevant but why not single it? you could get a lot better air seal but lose speed. but hey its just an idea

Why would he single a stampede? The whole point of the stampede is rate of fire. A singled stampede would probably get all of 40 feet with a new breech.

#295120 Pistol Splat Spring Replacement

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 27 February 2011 - 02:34 AM in Modifications

I just got back from my Ace. they don't carry that, and said they won't special order it for me. Help a brutha?

I'm in the same boat as Taer.

#291184 Texan Winter War

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 19 December 2010 - 07:28 PM in Nerf Wars

wing'd man is right, Texas gets cold like once a year.

Talk about a necro.

Are there any texas nerfers still interested in something like this?

#287479 Homemade Air Restrictors?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 25 October 2010 - 08:23 AM in Modifications

If you're really worried (say you already have an RSCB and still are shooting too far), make it with a 1/2" cross instead of a tee, and run PVC along the top of your RSCB a few inches for more deadspace. That's what I had to do for my modded Iron Man 2 Super Soaker; it was borderline dangerous at Hell Before Halloween 4, and really needed that extra reservoir to be safe.

Granted, this doesn't apply to most things used in Nerf (I had a large amount of power compared to most things), but if you really need to cut range, it works.

Thanks, that seems very practical and useful.

#287261 Homemade Air Restrictors?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 20 October 2010 - 07:34 PM in Modifications

[disclaimer]I apologize in advance if this should be in homemades, or not at all.[/disclaimer]

However stupid this may sound, I was wondering if anybody would know how to go about making an "air restrictor" out of pvc which would decrease the power of a blaster when attached via coupler.

The reasoning behind this is that for some game types (Such as zombies) having a powerful weapon is generally extremely erotic, and unnecessary. If you had a way to temporarily limit the power on it, though, you would not have to switch weapons during such game types.

Does anyone else see any merit in such a thing?

Thanks.

#287266 Homemade Air Restrictors?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 20 October 2010 - 07:49 PM in Modifications

Easiest way would be to put a ball valve somewhere before the barrel in your setup. You could then dial down the air opening or flip it all the way open pretty easily.

(air system)=(valve)==[ barrel ]

That's a great idea. Thank you.

#293749 Long Strike With Missile Blast Internals

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 02 February 2011 - 08:14 PM in Modifications

If you're going to keep the pump there consider replacing the MB pump handle with a 3/4 pvc tee. I find it's more comfortable.

#294819 Online Nerf Game

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 21 February 2011 - 11:59 AM in General Nerf

It is possible that the original poster meant "download" as in pay then download. The guy with the youtube link however did not. Remove that ASAP because it's clearly a violation of NH's COC.

#286424 Is A Big Bad Bow Spring To Stong For A Stock Longshot Boltsled?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 02 October 2010 - 01:29 PM in Modifications

I'm just wondering if it will break it.

Yes, it will.

#286420 Is A Big Bad Bow Spring To Stong For A Stock Longshot Boltsled?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 02 October 2010 - 12:58 PM in Modifications

Most likely. Your best bet is to reinforce the boltsled with coathangers, or aluminum. Alternatively, you could order an aluminum longshot boltsled, and never have to worry about it.

#293396 Scammed Again For $190!

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 26 January 2011 - 02:33 PM in General Nerf

I don't know about you, but it takes some serious effort to build up a positive reputation here on the Haven as a good Buyer/Seller. Maybe you should think about selling in our threads.

Although that seems like a great idea, the cold hard truth is nobody here is going to want to buy a shittily painted black and silver recon. Not even for $40. He was selling something that only stupid children on ebay would buy, and guess who bought it? A stupid child on ebay.

#296990 Ads?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 31 March 2011 - 11:19 PM in Site Feedback

I don't think the nerfhaven staff is pulling this prank.

#295433 Puget Sound Nerf War

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 06 March 2011 - 12:45 AM in Nerf Wars

Gaah, you would set this for the day the 3DS launches, wouldn't you <_<

Seems like a really lame reason to miss a war of this magnitude.

I agree, this looks like an incredible war. I wish I could be there.

#295000 The Right Airtank

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 23 February 2011 - 12:38 PM in Modifications

I also think a 4b would be the best bang for your buck / effort. A tank expanded 4b can easily fire 4 darts at 50 feet.

#294065 Xploderz Xranger 2000

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 07 February 2011 - 01:10 PM in Modifications

That RSCB is super clean. Have you tried replacing it with a chopper?

#292543 Long Range Primary?

Posted by Inferno Falcon on 10 January 2011 - 10:39 AM in General Nerf

I was actually thinking of making a Ja-bow, seen here. It's so incredibly simple that I have to try it. In addition, I will still get a Big Blast and make a RSCB clip for it. Can someone with clip fabbing experience tell me what diameter and types of pvc are used in this image Posted Image

The OP said nothing about what types and measurements went where and this looks much simpler than the old tutorial in Nerfhaven's mods section. I do know that the joints are 1/2" and there is both CPVC and PVC involved. I just need a description of which is where so I can put one together.

I think this should work out pretty well right?

If you're willing to spend the time/money an aabow would be a much better choice.
