#214326 +bow: Diy Thread

Does the thickness tolerance matter if the thickness is 1/4 and 1/8? In the above picture the polycarbonate is not the same part# as the one on the part list. Correct? I would prefer if CS replied to this. Thanks.

Edit: Replying to your post Splitlip, does it matter what kind of polycarbonate you order from Mcmaster just as long it's 1/4 and 1/8 in thickness?

#193209 Air Gun Integrations

Posted by Hoceky on 01 December 2008 - 12:24 AM in Modifications

I can use the slide to pump it.

Do you mean the DTG cocking handle?

#193221 Air Gun Integrations

Posted by Hoceky on 01 December 2008 - 12:41 AM in Modifications

That would be a rediculously short pump-stroke, and you would probably have to pump it ALOT just to fire one shot. You would have to find a way to lengthen the travel of the DTG's slide for it to be effective.

I'm guessing I'll have to elongate the slits on where the slide rests.

Then you may as well make a new cocking handle, because you are ripping up a piece of plastic that has no structure whatsoever. You will make a mess of the handle if you do that.

#201750 Anyone Else Have This Problem?

Posted by Hoceky on 07 January 2009 - 09:44 PM in General Nerf

This hasn't happened to me. I am always sure to grab the back of the plunger before dry-firing so I can slow it down (I have an older, non-recalled version).

Same here.

#204869 Calgary/ West Canada War?

Posted by Hoceky on 19 January 2009 - 09:29 PM in Nerf Wars

I have done some minor mods here, mostly AR removals, and my personal best an AT2k(no re barreling though)
though probably will use my longshot,(ARs, and weak spring added).

EDIT: Where is parkland? South Calgary? If it is I may not be able to come.
It is in the south, so I can't come sorry.

What community do you live in Nuuk? I live in Edgemont if you know where that is.

I'd be down for that. But I woudn't count on us having it in the spring though just in case we have another late winter.
Then again we could rent a gym or something.

Same Here. We would need to do it in June sometime because we couldn`t risk a May snowstorm. Put me down.
EDIT: Here is a small list of people in the area.

EDIT2: I e-mailed Falcon about Season of Foam already and the only western Canada area they will be stopping at is Vancouver.

#182848 Chaos

Posted by Hoceky on 10 October 2008 - 05:17 PM in Modifications

The thing looks.....um.....unstable. Maybe you should try to support it in some way. You could use more PVC on the sides as a suggestion.

#183004 Chaos

Posted by Hoceky on 11 October 2008 - 11:34 AM in Modifications

I'm going to say this once and once only. It's BASED off fenix' chimera, but the design of his is not fit to my liking. I like to pump the gun from the back, and it's more comfortable to me then the Chimera. I've used fenix' chimera at APOC, and it was great but mine is more comfortable for me because I have a damaged shoulder. This thing is fucking STURDY as hell. I made sure that I glued all over the PVC, and that it can withstand a fairly good amount of pressure. The point of this topic is to show has good Fenix' blueprints are. Everyone should make a basic Chimera, but customize it yourself which is what I did.

Thanks, I understand now.

You can always hammer a screwdriver that will fit into the back of the plunger until it comes out. This is what I did to my friends CF.

Anyway, dude really? You laugh when an innocent creature is killed by hunter carelessness? I mean really. Thats just fucked up. I am in no way a PETA activist, but thats a bit cold. Just think of if it were a cat or a small dog or your penis? Would it be funny then?
