I'm wondering if it's possible to open the Longshot magazine up without breaking those two little tabs on each end of it. I tried prying at 'em, and pushin' on them, pushed every which way and it didn't even budge. So if someone could enlighten me, I would be very greatful. Thank you.

Intro/ Got An Idea.

Hello all. I have lurked in this forum for quite some time now. I am heavily into paintball, and have spent around a couple thousand dollars in gear. I live in Canada, BC, Vancouver Island. No Nerf wars in my area that I am aware of.
My friend introduced me to Nerf a little while ago, sent me links to Boltsnipers gun's, other modded guns, ect, and I went out and bought a BBB, modified it to shoot megas by cutting out the AR's, sanding the barrel a little for a smoother travel of my 5/8th's FBR. Shoots roughly 40'. I would love to use 1/2" FBR, but no hardware stores around here seem to have it. (Maybe I'll put up a WTB thread later)
Dug out my old LNL, put some rubber bands on it, removed the hideous yellow thing, put a cut up piece of a shampoo bottle in the barrel to make a good seal, and it shoots as far as the BBB. Also bought a Mech 6 to toy around with. The semi auto-ness got me thinking.
As I said before, I play paintball, and have always had a fascination for pneumatics, so I got thinking how I could make a pneumatic, CO2 or HPA powered gun, mag fed, and maybe even bullpup style if my imagination permits it. I have full intentions of building this "gun".
I know most people get shot down for only posting ideas drawn in paint, but I have seen what this community can do for ideas, and how it can help someone build a better Nerf gun, and that is why I am posting my idea. So here it is.

It would most likely utilize a magazine, and I have been toying with the idea of a Drum mag while reading past posts on this forum. It shall also use Zero's semi auto valve which was found on this site. I have all the LPR's and tanks, and ram's and PVC lying around, so this shouldn't cost me too much. Also, what would be a good barrel size to use for the 5/8th's mega Stephans? I am welcoming questions, criticism, opinions, and help on this project. Thanks for looking, and hopefully I will become an avid member of this forum.
