No one else said this, but maybe check to see if your barrel where it is glued to the part that pushes the plunger back is cracked. That happened to me on my recon where it cracked and the barrel went over it just a bit so that it wouldnt push the plunger back far enough to prime
added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole!
On topic, like everyone else was saying, your barrel is way too short, and you need some cpvc. I would suggest putting a cpvc coupler on it. I did that, and mine kicks ass.
Your darts are probably too tight. What is your barrel made of? I have some darts that are too tight in cpvc, and i tried them in my longshot with a cpvc barrel, and they didn't leave the barrel either. Try different foam and see if that works.
