In Topic: What to do with magstrike internals?

I was considering getting a magstrike and a maverick and integrating the magstrike internals in the maverick so that I could have a 6 shot burst pistol. Used the piston sliding to rotate the drum and the maverick slide could slide with it. Might need to extend the barrels but it would be awesome.

I doubt the auto rotating would work, but nice idea.

Your mod inspires mixed feelings in me. On the one hand, it captures the essence of fugly. on the other... Well your bladder is now completely unprotected - from over pumping, from external puncture, from UV degradation... There's a lot of compressed air in there and when they fail - they fail loudly and explosively. Your cap becomes a projectile, and neighbors call the local authorities to report shots fired. I've never heard one fail but Doom (our resident genius) has and he says it's as loud as a shotgun discharge. I don't think it's worth the risk of hearing damage and other personal injury.

Please shell up your bladder.

i'll cut the half shell off my magstrikes remains and stick it over
don't want my everything blown up,
even know i only go 6 pumps a shot,

You could just put the magstrike internals into an existing shell and single it. I'm not too sure how good a magstrike tank is though.

Singled!
Writeup is up now!

Your check valve in your pump is probably broken, as discussed in here. http://nerfhaven.com...l=&fromsearch=1
I know there's another similar thread somewhere that linked to a website that provided free samples, and someone with this same problem was able to solve it that way. Maybe you'll have more luck finding it than I did.

Yep, the check valve was totaly split in half.
Replaced it with a $7 Telescoping Kmart pump. Works fine now,
Thanks heaps!,
