I wanted to drop this in the old topic named 'Tek Recon', but it's expired, so here we go with this topic. I have to say, that Tek Recon are growing fast, and have got an awesome attention from massive retail chains - I can't name them, but some even went as far as wanting exclusivity. I'm glad they declined, because that retailer is notorious for massive upmarks and poor management of product marketing.
If you want to check out Tek Recon in much more detail, you can check it out [here] - there is quite a picture spam and some video too.
The massive thing to note is the ability to turn the blasters into real slam-fire beasts or consistently accurate long shot rifles, with a Calibration Switch. There is full customisation for every user with every style in mind.
Be good to know what you think.

NDA Exclusive! New 2013 Nerf Mega Centurion
03 March 2013 - 03:55 AM
Source
Here we go folks! The new Nerf Elite Mega Centurion is a new Sub-Range of Nerf - Mega. The Mega Centurion comes with a new tech-smart bipod + new never seen before internals.
It's rounds are roughly 1inch depth by 4 inch in length. They come in new MCS-6 round Magazines.
The size of this blaster is in length 1.5metres long. It took a sharp dev turn since feedback has been intense (thank you all fans!) and replaces "failed" LongStrike and LongShot blasters.
It will retail for around £39.99 - in a bid to make Nerf more accessible to all pockets.
The tech-smart bipod is fully collapsible for heavy weapon deployment and automatically clips up when you are on the move. It's really awesome.
The Centurion uses a complete new never before seen internal mechanic system. The Super Plunger Tube (thanks to modders) has had an overhaul and this will not only keep Stock fans happy, but have modders switch up their A-Game with a Stock 100ft range. This is *NOT* arc'd Repeat *not* arc-fired. Some variants had Electronic Plungers, and "Super PTs".
The new Elite Mega darts (thanks again to modders and Stock fan feedback) has been evolved with new NERF technology to be more stable in flight, range and accuracy.
It comes with 2 tactical rails, one at the butt-side of the blaster, and one under the muzzle. I can't comment on the accessories on play, but i'm sure this will be unveiled shortly from my NDA. I'm pretty sure these accessories will outsell the blasters themselves.
Let me know your thoughts guys, your feedback is as always important for next gen blasters.
•If you think it sucks - say why, if you think it rocks the box - let me know why.
•If you do/don't see any mod potential - let me know why - PLEASE back up with HANDS-ON experience
Will update more as my NDA is released
Nerf blasts out Arthritis
28 February 2013 - 11:05 AM
I was recently contacted by a group to help promote an upcoming event they have arranged for a fantastic cause.
Here are the details as follow:
"Bring your own Nerf gun, darts and protective eyewear to a fund-raiser to benefit the Arthritis Foundation, Great Lakes Region 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Stars & Stripes Kids Activity Center, 4630 White Lake, Clarkston. $15 per player, ages 4 to adult. Register: 248-625-3547."
This is something close to my heart (and i'm sure everyone else knows someone affected) - Arthritis. It affects people of many ages, sex, colour, creed, religion' and remains one of the long-term suffering disabilities. It affects my Dad pretty bad somedays, so I will certainly be donating because I can't get there physically. Times are hard for everyone, but every little helps <3
If you can get down there or lend support to this great cause, please do get in touch with them! All the best to everyone getting stuck in it's a wonderful event. Please do share this and spread the word, it's for a great cause.
For more details check out the Arthritis Foundation

NDA Exclusive - Nerf Gatling foam-ball blaster
18 February 2013 - 12:34 PM
Hey guys, i'm pretty excited to get this out, I had a ton of fun playing with it, did not suffer 1 jam.
My only concern is how it will affect (outclass) Elite blasters we know right now. Can't say how this will be addressed, but as Modders you guys pretty much know what to expect (or not if you didn't see this!)
Hasbro Nerf's secret Paintball blaster - but it's not without it's problems... anyone say Stampede ECS-50?
Patent number: 8136515
Filing date: 27 Aug 2009
Issue date: 20 Mar 2012
Application number: 12/583,902
Patent et al
Now the Patent Design was filed back originally in August 2009, and they completed a filing for the Innovation File Date at March 2012.
"That's all very nice MyLastDart, who cares?"
What does that mean? It means there are working protoypes of this model in existence. This is the difference - the Stampede ECS-50 drum never got passed this stage. The Gatling has.
Hasbro not being one to backdown so easy, also have an additional patent for foam ball-sized projectiles. Pretty much you can expect them to be Nerf Vortex discette material. They don't hurt anymore than an Elite dart at point blank, a slight sting, but no pain no gain people?
So it's been on the cards for sometime now, and in development due to a heavy demand from a fans, but inspired by several gatling gun Vulcan vids. It's been a labour of love for the Engineers and Design teams, but there is just one hiccup - a major one in fact. The Paintballs themselves are prone to damage or worse damaged to the point they explode inside the blaster - causing jams. This was actually a make-or-break factor.
It's something they are looking at but with diminished results due to the nature of the Paintballs not being able to handle the high rate of fire (they eventually crack and break inside the drum/blaster causing major jams). They have created foam-balls which achieve a similar result. The blaster can handle around 100-300 rounds, with an unseen Repetitive 5 Stack-Rerack Smart Internal System (you could hold the trigger and unload up to 5 consecutive rounds, i.e if you only fire 3 rounds, and then wait, it will reset the counter to allow you to continue a renewed 5 burst cycle).
I suggested to them to take the name "The Goliath MLD-X100" to which they laughed and said it's at the top of the list. Wow. What an honour right?? And that could be yours too - it remains unnamed, so feel free to throw some ideas around - you could name the next gen blaster!
I can't give up anymore on what I played with at the Toy Fair 2013, but feel free to tell me what your thoughts on this are guys. You're feedback can help further develop this and perhaps guide them in ideas not previously thought of. So please help develop those discussions here, so I can collect it and feed it back.
I'm collecting feedback from my main site, please do feel free to get stuck in with the discussions there to speculate on the internal workings and enter your own name for this "as yet packaged box complete with no name as a blaster" Source & speculation discussion
Oh and since we are speaking about NDA releases here's another - for your Tacticool freaks out there
"Rambo's M203 Masterkey accessory has never been this Toy Friendly - HIT the DECK people!!" *whizzzzzzzz kAbOoM*
So - Did we expect this at all?

EDIT: Original source is updated with new information and inside info has been released from my NDA. Please give:
Langley - i'm correcting and updating this as I can as it happens. I cant pm you again. This is going to be bit of a mess as a type and post on the fly. Bear with me!
Hasbro is hoping to hit the mark with its next high-profile launch — a new brand of Nerf toys aimed specifically at girls.
The line, is called Nerf Rebelle, will feature projectiles that have the same power as the top items in the brand’s Nerf Elite line — but come wrapped in a prettier package and designed to encourage the collaborative play Hasbro has found girls prefer.
Princesses can own the first Rebelle product — called the Heartbreaker bow — this fall.
Rebelle immediately brings to mind Lego Friends, a new line of female-driven products that helped to increase Lego's profits by 36% last year — even as critics accused the toy company of promoting gender stereotypes. May I remind them to look at the male toy oven set?
I asked John Frascotti, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Hasbro if the aim is to increase outreach to females in the popular Nerf range aimed predominantly at boys, he told me
"Hasbro isn’t worried that Rebelle pigeonholes girls or reinforces the ideology of separate spheres."
What girls wanted, he says was Nerf toys that boast both high performance and a design made especially for them.
“Just to be clear, we could have taken some of our Nerf blasters and just made them pink and put them in pink packages — but that’s not what we did,”
Frascotti explained. Trying to encourage girls to buy existing Nerf toys or easing up the gendered overtones of those products was never really on the table:
“This is an entirely ground-up effort.”
Thanks to all that research, Rebelle differs from other Nerf lines in several key ways. The Heartbreaker bow comes with collectable darts bearing different colors and designs; there’s a Rebelle app that allows girls to play collaboratively and encourages teamwork; the bow’s size and ergonomics have been tweaked so that girls as young as 6 can activate it easily.
The product’s main philosophy, though, is in line with that of the Nerf toys that came before it.
“Nothing is really addressing this big opportunity for girls to be active and play,”
Frascotti said.
“Parents are concerned about the amount of time kids are spending in sedentary activities, in front of a screen of some sort.”
By contrast you can see how Rebelle promotes exercise and socialization in a way that will hopefully appeal to girls who have no interest in sports as well as budding athletes.
But what about that name, “Heartbreaker” — which seems to inject an element of romance that wouldn’t be there if the bow were designed for boys, or even made to be gender neutral?
“I think sometimes maybe adults are more concerned with these things than girls are,” Frascotti said. “I think the girls we tested it with just thought it was a cool name and they loved playing the role of a power princess standing shoulder to shoulder with a white knight.”
Fans actively helping create next gen - thank you all bloggers for spreading the word of brand love
Franchises will be empowered to create RESPECTABLE and QUALITY fans expect from Hasbro blasters. Franchises will do Nerf accessories and handle demand with Hasbro guidance and support.
Parts brokerage. Specific stock. scope, etc you don't have to buy a whole blaster for just that stock
Franchises help reducing operation cost - note 10% work force cut at Hasbro
Asia > EU > US. Asia is a massive emerging market, more spending power as time goes on. This is something that will be pushed in a big way. Sounded like Asia MAY have monopoly of hot products and future exclusives (they make more babies, more kids, growing GDP - they want Nerf more!).
US market is slowing - in negative growth: sales -0.3%. Electronics are not an excuse (Tablets, etc)
There will be a Renewal drive, regen love for Nerf in US. Dart Tag in hands of fans/TRU. (Note: Nerf has a very special place for Hasbro in the US, and they have plans to revamp this, and do a resurge of marketing/exclusives).

Includes 30 multi-colour XLR discs. Available at most major toy retailers nationwide and HasbroToyShop.com. Price will be around £39.99gbp. This new sub-category blaster fires TWO discs at once"
It would appear that many of the blasters I played with are missing from the New York Toy Fair - i'm hoping contacts there can do a thorough job of checking Nerf stand out.
The Nerf N-Strike Mega Blazin' Bow is really a work of genius. It's so light-weight and balanced that accuracy is king even when running. You are able to time dead-on shots and a perfect addition to any Nerfers loadout - even for HvsZ players. There is so much room for potential modding.
