Alright, I'm no genius with model rockets (I've taken a few summer classes), but I am a bit curious as to where you can successfully retrieve rockets with Class F motors after you launch them. We used to fire of class C's and almost always lose half of them.

A tree fell on my garage and now the entire frame is tilted. One end is about 7 inches off the ground. Almost all of my blasters were in there, too. All I have now is an Alpha Trooper and a Vortex Gun. I'm in North Merrick BTW.

I have used a Big Bad Bow, Ace #49, and nite finder spring in my longshots with great results. I've heard of the Mcmaster-Carr k18 spring working well too. Just make sure to reinforce the boltsled no matter the spring.

Nice Writeup, and this mod looks really cool. However, wouldn't you have to sand down the ridge perfectly so you don't screw up your seal? If you sanded too much I would imagine you could lose air. Good job though.
