Just a quick question. Would this still be considered a hamp, or should I designate it as something else?

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Just an update- the small scale prototype
The final design will be straight, or folded in half. I hate the 90 degree barrel on this. Hard to aim.

Just an update for anyone who might care. I have made a normal sized hamp with a 1 inch size PVC barrel but I used bunnies cords, so all you have to do is pull the plunger back to shoot. And I'm Shooting rolled up weighted bandanas with about 27 feet. It's quite amazing what u can do in shop class with PVC and duct tape. My shop teacher would like a trigger on it, but I'll figure that out on Friday.

The hamp design should work well, if I scale it up quite a bit. Small scale shoots markers 65 feet. Now to figure out a way to spring load it. Bungie cords should work nicely.
