Its something that seems to happen a lot with Nerf. The release date is just when stores are supposed to stock it. They usually already have it in the back before then.

I just found out that you can pre-order the Recon CS on Amazon. It says it doesn't get released till mid December. Anyone who really wants this can pre-order it for about $25 w/o shipping. Not bad considering it's cheaper than the Longshot.

With the bolt coming out the way it does and having a clip it looks like the mechanics might work more like the Rapid Fire Rifle just without the lever action, I've been working on mine and will load the mod pics once it's done, I just need to find another spring that fits then to some small tweaks.

As to my 2 cents worth, I think that it just might be a great gun as long as the people at Hasbro learn from the mistakes that they made with the LS.

ON TOPIC:

Anyways...It looks like a good integration gun and a easy mod gun.
Also, the clip makes the gun.
If the plunger is anything like a LnL or a NF, this will be a definite pick up.
Hopefully the seal is good.

I wonder if they changed the stock, because it dosent look like it would hold an extra clip.

It will. The back of the stock is shaped like a sideways U to accept the bottom of the magazine, but I don't know how firmly it will hold it. (The magazine is placed in horizontally, so that the bottom of the mag is parallel to the back of the stock).

I wish that you could pick up this or a bundle pack with more darts, another clip and a bag/strap.

The darts are most likely streamline because it is the SAME DAMN CLIP!

I wish the rc (recon) will come out before the 15/16th...

I am anticipating the adaptability of this and my nitefinder which I think could clip to the rail?

Perhaps this should have been stated earlier. The rails on this gun are like on the normal LS. You would need to take an inverse rail, such as from the top of a Crossfire or from an LS scope, glue it to your gun/accessory, and then slide that onto the rail on the RC.
