[One Man Clan]

FA here was pretty much as thorough as I could have ever been. I am reserving my awesome factor until AFTER it comes out. To me, as much hope as I had for the LS, it was an SOB to mod well. The LS is a little complicated from what I saw, but I have not taken one apart.

Well, it has good cosmetics and lots of doodads, although it is about a 95% chance it will be lets hope this gun isn't built around the air restrictor like the Longshot. The color and design schemes remind me of a Disk Shot which is a solid gun, let's hope this is similar in that way too.

Reasons I want it.

I like the looks.
The "laser pointer" caseing is screamnig "stuff more guns in here!"
Can be taken down to a small size.
May have LS power.

Reasons I don't want it.
May only shoot as well as a Disk Shot gun, it looks alot like one.
Mostlikely will have a heafty price tag.

The gun looks pretty rad and even if the internals suck the case is awesome. I hope I can fit a big blast tank in there.

OMC- How was the Cocking mothion? How did it feel compared to a LS?

I think I would say at the least, this could be a great pre-clipped disk shot. Also if we stick a decent barrel on there, with a new spring and boreing and lubes and such, a good clipped disk shot. Once you remove all the parts it could become a great side arm. But I guess I'm changing my mind; it looks like a disk shot and the longshot had much bigger internals then that thing could have, so the range most likely won't be but half as good.

One of the best thing about the longshot carbine/lcs is going to be the rails on the added barrel.

I am saying rails love interchangeable systems like:

2 smdtg's on rails and a titan pump on the bottom. (think biggest salvo on a longshot!)

Secret taggers/pocket strikes:



On top/bottom again with titan pump.

Nitefinder galore.

Homemades

Iron sights/ghost rings on the cocker (hehe) and end of barrel.

AND MORE!!!

It will be the longshot carbine or lcs!

edit: See post below. I don't really care though! It has been out for more than 6 months then. The NIC never REALLY made noise about it so I bet I could've sneaked it by......if it weren't for you.....(creeps around Qui-lan Fett's house with a Nitefinder)

I agree with FA_24. I am really glad Hasbro is making a completely new Nerf gun rather than re-making old stuff.

I'm not really sure what to think. My brother got a longshot for christmas last year, and I HATE it. If this is a longshot remake, I'll probably hate this one as well. I've got to admit, it looks pretty tight with all of the extra stuff on it. If I read OMC' s post correctly, the stock, barrel, and the laser can be removed, creating a clipped hand gun. Almost all new hand guns made by Nerf have been real crappy, with the exception of the nitefinder, and the fact that it is clipped really worries me. The seal on the Longshot wasn't that good, so...I'm afraid this will be worse.

So I'm somewhat excited for it.
I really do like that it's a clipped pistol (when all the accessories are removed) and I like that it isn't a remake of another gun. Though with all the accessories, it really does look a lot like one.

If the ranges aren't as good as the Longshot, believe it or not, I'll be pretty happy. I don't think a sidearm capable of shooting ~100' is going to be very cool. High RoF plus high range pretty much makes it superior to all other guns out there.
I would be most happy if it shot right around 60'. I'm sure people are going to disagree, but it's just what I think.
I do like how it can be disassembled, that could make some neat scenario games (like someone stated earlier).

Actually, if you want a really crazy integration, integrate this into another gun.
Though it's probably bigger than it looks. I'll guess it's a little longer than the Maverick, but less bulky and more holster-able (without the clip).

So yeah, pretty neat.

The only thing that made me want to buy this gun is the fact that you could have a separate integration in each detachable part, so you could use it as a primaray or a secondary. If it uses the same breech system as the LS I'm getting one. I also want to see a Direct Threat paint job for this.

My Reasons to Buy:

-Figure out how it works.
-Try to integrate a Big Blast (best idea ever, Dark Shrimp!).
-Make a system to attach random crap instead of the wannabe-laser (first up: SMDTG).
-It's a ready-made pistol-with-a-box-magazine.

My Reasons Not to Buy:

-Um...I could spend the money on something else? I don't know, since when does the suckiness of a blaster stop us from making it into something cool? Maybe not practical/efficient, and completely devoid from the original features/gimmicks, but cool nonetheless...

Here's another question: What's that orange thing at the bottom of the front of the pistol? It's inline with the wannabe-laser, but it looks like orange stock-barrel-material plastic. Plus, it looks rounded. It could be a dart holder, but what's the point in that, what with it having a magazine?

Detachable parts spell "super-cool cosmetic mods that are interchangeable" in my dictionary.

I predict that soon after the release of this blaster, the will be a flood of cosmetic mods like "RCS-6 M-16" and "RCS-6 BR55" etc. It does seem like a blank canvas for "painting flames on to make it go faster".

So far I'm seeing: the power of a Maverick, the RPS of the Clip Tek, the cheap laser of a Nitefire, and the complication of a Longshot, all rolled into one package. Not to mention the weak-ass stock. But hey, who knows? This new gun might just blow me away. We'll have to see.

Yeah, the gun has really super hot cosmetics but, the plunger tube is probably the size of a Nitefinders. MY nf gets like 60-70 ft (havent measured) the barrel might add some accuracy though
