I have received pm's and E-mails about the gun.
Just for record: There was no typo,
The Guns name is Doomsayer.
Not: The Doomsayer
Not: Doomslayer
But: Doomsayer

I really only have one concern with this weapon, and it is only a concern because I fully intend to replicate this mod, and that is purely from a practicality standpoint. PETG is fragile. I have about 6 inches exposed on each of my crossbow barrels and I end up replacing those once every 2-3 wars. Now that said those are flip-breaches and they get jammed through a pvc coupler after each and every shot, a wear and tear your barrels will not have to endure. But none the less, dropping the gun, bumping into something or someone, or even transporting it could be an issue with so much exposed petg. The question, if I ever get to it, is how necessary is it to plumbers goop those barrels in place? You will need to replace them fairly frequently (once a season at the least) and I would much prefer a less permanent seal.

For a show peace weapon that you plan to use in assassin campaigns this would not be a concern, but for a weapon that you plan on using every round for an actual war, it is something you have to consider.

Yo, Forsaken, awesome mod. It satisfied all of my expectations from the Sneak Peak thread. I think this is just about the most practical gun for normal outdoor Nerf Wars. I haven't been to any major wars, but with the small 10 people wars with my friends, I know this would own.

Question: I plan on doing most everything performed in your mod, except for a few bits about the turret rotation mech. You used two halves of the mech, would I need to do that also, (and conclusively buy another gun) if I was to PETG the barrels also? Nevermind, you still don't know yet.

After reading Vacc's post, I am also curious about the exposed PETG.

Vacc: For one I wont be dropping my gun. As far as bumping into people goes, I only bumped into a few people at APOC and that was with my back. As far as transportation goes, The only thing I can think of is do it very carefully.
And as far as non permanent barrels. You can always not goop them in place and just have the petg super snug in place and maybe use some hot glue. So they would be easier to replace. Or you could go with removable barrels by working with brass. The possibilities are endless when you think outside of the box.

I am hoping I can find a way to mod this so you need only one RC2 Pump action shotgun to mod it like this.
I would recommend everyone to do the mod and see if it can be done without doing step 4. If step 4 is pointless please let the rest of us know. I don't know when I am going to have time in the next little while.

Vacc and blister, can't you just put the PETG in some PVC or something to nest it?

I'm pretty sure that'd be way too heavy and cumbersome for both the user and rotation mech. But I have yet to experiment with my friend's which he just gave for me to mod.

And I will post if I find anything new pertaining Step 4.

Should you want to consider it I would be willing to make frame pieces and spacers that you can use to reinforce the barrels. All I would need are these measurements.
1. Turret outer diameter
2. Radius from the center of the turret to the center of any given barrel. I can use this measurement to repeat the hole in a 12 barrel pattern
3. How long you want the spacers to be

As for Step 4 I would have to dissect the gun myself to be sure but it seems like it has a slip clutch mechanism similar to what is used in the Maverick. I solved the issue by gluing the two clutch halves together.

Is the piece through which those three loading ports were drilled a solid plastic slab, or is it hollow like usual? If it is the latter, did you bridge the gap with anything to prevent darts from being caught on the second half of the port?

I cannot for the life of me figure out what this means. A little more help?

I think he means is the wall that you have to drill threw after dropping the marker down the barrel solid or hollow.
Would the cross section look like this:

I Assume its Solid but Ive never seen the gun in person.

FA used my PETG as far as I know. When he last ordered (100' btw) he mentioned needing a lot for a new project. No idea it would be this conglomeration.

Could you make the rear loading holes on either side or did you just feel like doing it on the right side only?

six five two. I once modded a SM3K with brass and pvc barrels. It was so front heavy I ended up throwing it right in the trash. This was in a time before ABBB.

Captain slug: I believe you are right about the slip clutch. However the bottom disc below the beefy gear wheel is held in place by two nubs. That will work if the nubs are sanded down and the spring is hot glued. I think.
As far as spacer plates go, I don't think it really needs it. I mean it would be good for protecting the barrels and such. Maybe I will try and make a couple for my next one. Who knows. I wont have time to really get in depth with any new modifications until November.

I did use OMC's petg for this creation. I had just enough of his old petg to get it done. However the old stuff was a bit snug for my darts and his new stuff is 100% perfect in my eyes. If 17/32" is 1 and 9/16" is 10. This petg is sized around an 8. Which is perfect for me. I like 9/16" but I always thought it was a little too loose.

Skitzo: You can add the rear loading holes on either side.l I only did it on the one side because that was the most comfortable reloading side for me.

I still cannot understand what you are talking about. However I will try to answer. The part of the shell I drilled through was solid plastic. The turret just needed its rings widened. Complete those two and you have rear loading.

Sorry I took so long to clarify. I was asking if the turret housing, more specifically where the loading ports were drilled, is a block of solid plastic with no dead space between the front and back. However, now I realize that the housing is formed from only one piece of plastic. Skitzo's illustration showed what I wanted to know before, though. (If you look at it again, assume that the gun's stock is to the right side of the diagram, the barrels are on the left, and the black columns are the housing for the rear of the turret where the hot glue was added for a better seal. The top set represents the cross-section if there was only one layer of plastic, or if there were two or more layers that formed a solid-looking piece when the gun is assembled. The bottom set shows the cross-section if there was a groove cut into the rear of the turret housing for a flared base. I should have looked at the pictures more carefully, and my question was pointless (and hard to explain). However, you have answered the question in the last paragraph of the post above mine.

If you painted it silver it would look freaking cool.

Great news! Step 4 is absolutely pointless! This means you can do the modification with only one RC2 rapid fire shotgun and the mod doesn't take as long to do now.

Alright it has been about 2 weeks since I posted the video.

That's what I got too. The third or fourth time I watched the video I noticed what it meant. He kicked Baghead's ass in time for Hell, which he will kick OUR asses at next Saturday (I only noticed it was this close a few hours ago when I was gun shopping).

...Because he Stuck a skull on his, Or because He shot some looser with a Plastic bag on his head? either way, I wasn't trying to compete over this for real... Getting my GE finished and applying to 4-years for transfer became a hell of a lot more important than modding a gun, that's right, I'll say it here: Life is more important than Nerf...although, a valid argument is that NERF IS LIFE... no matter how paradoxical that is.

Nice Mod Angel, as usual. ...About the video Joke, You're an ass.(not to mention IT SHOULD BE A PAPER BAG! I demand You go back and re-shoot that portion of the vid, with a more Bags-esque bag...).
