This mod is made to relocate the plunger tube and too do other basic modifications to the TTG.

What you will need is:

thick walled PETG
PVC
1/2 inch FBR
dremel
plumbers goop/epoxy
hot glue
hot glue gun
ruler
screwdriver

Now lets get started.

First you are going to want to open your gun up and throw away the barrel and air restricter parts. You are also going to want to through away this part.
IPB Image

Now you need a barrel. So cut off a 4 1/2" segment of PETG and goop or epoxy it onto the plunger tube. It should go right over the nub on the end of the plunger. To make sure that the barrel is strait befor you glue use a little bit of hot glue to hold the barrel on strait when the goop or epoxy is drying.

While your barrel is drying it is time to work on the shell of the gun. You are going to need to dremel out the notches in the shell in the places shown below.
IPB Image

The next step is to put ammo holders on the gun. You are going to want to cut a 2 1/2" and a 2 1/4" pice of PETG. Now hot glue the larger of the two pieces into the top ammo holder spot. Then glue the smaller piece into the lower ammo holder. Now cut two 1 1/4" piece of FBR and shove them into the ammo holders. This way the darts don't go to deep into the gun on accident. It should look like this.
IPB Image

Now that your barrel is done drying you are going to want to cut a 4 1/2" section of PVC. Now dremel the inside of the PVC a little so the PVC can slide over your newly added plumbers goop. Once the PVC fits, hot glue it to the plunger so it will stay in place.

The next step is to dremel the back ring on the plunger tube. Dremel it to look like this.
IPB Image

Now you are ready to glue your plunger tube into place. This will help increase ranges because now the plunger head can do it's full range of motion in the plunger tube. You are going to want to hot glue it into this spot.
IPB Image

Next you are going to want to increase the seal on the plunger head. To do this put a few layers of e-tape under the o-ring. Make sure you wash the plunger head before doing this or the e-tape won't stick.

Now you are going to want to replace the spring. I used a RF20 spring with a stretched out NF spring over it. If you do the same spring configuration you are gong to want to stretch the NF spring to be this long so it wont rattle in the gun so much.
IPB Image
Top: RF20 spring
Bottom: NF spring

It won't rattle now because when they are on the plunger rod the RF20 spring is stopped by the plunger heads teeth and the NF spring overlaps the teeth.
IPB Image

Now your done just lube up the plunger tube and put everything together.

The ranges I got with this gun are about 75ft.

Thank you.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

Nice mod, clean write up and easy to follow.
I am not 100% on the strength of the RF20 spring, but from what I have heard it is beefy. I would suggest craft foam on the plunger head to increase life span on such a nicely put together gun.
Personal opinion only: Why did you waste perfectly good PETG on ammo holders that already exist? I am sure you have a reason, just can't figure it out other than "Now they won't possibly fall out".
Again, great write up.

I also say it is very clean and fairly easy to follow.
To CPG, if he is able to stuff petg into the ammo holders, then it's obvious that the holders are way to wide for his stefans. I'm guessing his darts are thin, or his TTG is the megas shooting version.

Yeah, the green colored one is the original mega version, so he would need the petg to keep his ammo in.

Nice job, by the way.

Did you get the idea to relocate the tube from my writeup or independently? Anyways, pretty good mod. I'd suggest a longer barrel though.

PS: What's the plunger tube's diameter and how far can you pull the plunger rod back?

Ya. I always was trying to find something to do with all of the dead space in the gun. And then I saw your writeup and decided to do it to me TTG.

The plunger tube's exterior diameter is about 25mm. And the interior diameter is about 23mm.

You can pull back the plunger rod 66mm.

Nice, clean write-up. I need to get around to using my TTG as a sidearm.

Nice, I've done the same thing. Accept I only use the rf20 spring and it gets about 70.

Good to know some one else took my advice

Nice write up.
I have to admit though, using the RF20 spring in a TTG scares the hell out of me. Be sure to let us know if this gun holds up.
Nice clean pictures too!
Consider it added.

How convienent, I just found a old style TTG at a thrift store today. I had one already, but the shell got kind of messed up. Anyway, nice mod, I plan to do something similar to mine.

Ya the teeth of the plunger head are starting to get stress marks on them. I'm going to put goop all around the teeth and see how well that holds up. I will post results later on that.

Probably because this is the old version of the ttg, and it fires megas.
