This post is 4 months later than it should have been, but I was checking out the forums and I wondered what the major developments had been last year.

I'm sure we saw some interesting mods, some new Nerf lines, and their must have been other contributions or developments. Who wants to get the ball rolling?

I'll start with Captain Slug's shotgun modification for the LongShot.

Not a development NIC-wise but it was the year in which I started going to big wars and met Hersh and Jordan.

It was the first year that anyone posted proof of an automatic getting more than 60'.

NH got h4xx0red and got a new look.

That's all I can come up with for now.

The once-desirable Powerclip slumped in resale value with the summer release of the Magstrike, which basically uses similar if not identical mechanics.

I experienced that. Sorry Shindig, almost bought your PC, didn't I.


Also, who can forget the "Nerf gun that shoots 400 feet".

Maybe not an actual increase in newbies but an increase in dumber posts and a decrease in visit frequency of the more experienced nerfers, IE Bolts.niper, Ompa, Cx, etc. etc. (for whatever reason).

Anyone going to mention the LS and/or MS? Or was that this year... *shrug* didn't affect me. I'll always be true to the PC.

Like Flaming Homosexual, er Hilt, mentioned, I'm pretty sure a clip fed accurate nerf gun counts as fucking innovation. Not to mention, successfully modding that beast thanks to people like Cartoon, Captian Slug and Forsaken Angel.

I'll give this more thought. I'm sure there are other major events, besides of course my continued dominance and general ass kickery on the battle field.

I think this year has a record for the least talk about a new gun, only four pages for the Disk Shot. Most people only posted once saying it was a disappointment. I can't think of anything else, I'm not into nerf as much as I used to be.

This year was an innovative year in general. The release of two new guns led to much excitement, and interesting mods came from all around.

I'll agree with nerfer34 in saying that Carrtoon made quite a hefty contribution to the board with his creative works. Lucky for me, we got to war together and I got to see some of his gadgets in action. It gave me the urge to hit the workbench once I get back home from school. I was especially impressed with his work on the Big Salvo.

And for the NH hack, that seemed like so long ago!

Lastly, the Wars forum was filled up with wars from a wider variety of regions. Even though there are so many people that are all talk and modding guns without taking them to a war, the amount of people that acutally do get out and war rose quite a bit. It can only get better from here on out.

Overall, 2006 was a good year, and I think 2007 holds/has held so far a lot in store for us.
