Dude, this thread's ancient. Try to check the dates more carefully next time before someone higher in command catches you. But, to be more on topic, this gun and a few other Bolt classics have inspired many people(including me) to design and build homemades. So, Bolt if you're reading this, let me say you've made a huge positive impact on the nerfing community !

By the way, I'm pretty sure Bolt has clearly said before that he doesn't sell his guns. Plus I don't think CH does anymore either.

I know that this thread is older than dirt, but I am absolutely fascinated with this gun. The only reason I am posting is because I've recently been getting very well acquainted with the schematics of the FAR, and realized how similar the design for the SCAR is.

So, my real question is thus: Bolt, if possible, I would like to get any dimensions you happen to have lying around for the things that you had to change between the FAR and the SCAR. I've been in drafting classes for the last two semesters, and would like to draw up schematics for this thing using AutoCAD. However, because there are so many new features, there would be a lot of guessing and estimation on my part.

I guarantee that you will receive credit for it. I just really want to build one of these, and as you mention, it is considerably easier to do so when the whole thing is designed with CAD first.

I know it's a long shot, but I figured I would ask anyway.

Hobo jesus are you trying to make the SCAR or the FAR? If you go to

you will find the design for the SCAR and Bolt clearly describes the differences to the FAR

I know that BS has his stuff on his website, but there is too much of the little stuff (shell ejector, plunger dimensions, etc.) that got left undocoumented when he abandoned the website.

And yes, I am referring to the SCAR as the one I want to build. Call me a masochist, but it just feels like the FAR isn't enough of a challenge .
