Oh, and one more thing I forgot in my initial post:

Somewhere on Hwy 5 I found just about every inch of travel my mini-van's suspension has to give. We hit a "dip" that was more akin to a small ditch doing some ungodly downhill highway speed. We hit it so hard we nearly buried the suspension, then sprang up so forcefully that we had just barely enough grip to straighten back out. In May my buddy and I drove 2500 miles from Pittsburgh Pa to Vacaville Ca, and I can tell you we didn't see anything as harrowing as that. No large regional nerf war is complete without at least one near-death experience.
