With the magstrike it doesn't need to be tilted because the next burst of air should also push the darts forward in the same manner, then the one after fires another. That's why it takes about 5 bursts for 3 darts.

Anyway, it's an interesting concept, I'll give you that. Does it have any war practicality in the state it's in now? Probably not. Too flimsy. However, given a different shell and clean it up, you could have something pretty cool.

Alright, for all those who are wondering, you can stop firing without emptying the inline, and finish the clip after wards. Essentially, it is full auto, but you've only got 3 shots (or more, if you make the tube longer).

EDIT: Further fooling around shows that the blaster fires straight up without any problems, probably due to the repetitive air push of the MS.

NerfAlCapone: Listen, Your gun looks like shit. But i think that your inline clip/wildfire piston is a great idea. My suggestion is that to put a coupler on the end of the piston, and create multiple clips for it. This would make for a speedy Rof. I hope you ditch the "Al Capone" shit. No one will take you seriously, and Halloween isn't year round. I want you to actually be a decent modder and not some necro. You surprised me, congrats.

I don't get why everyone was making such a big deal about all of this. He wasn't even the first one to use this concept:

Even if he couldn't make the leap on his own from that to the inline clip RF20, he wouldn't have had to. Look at my last post in that thread. It really is an interesting idea and I'm trying to get the ranges better right now into something workable.

But seriously, all you little boys need to stop posting pictures of yourselves holding your blasters...we really don't want to look at you.

Alright, so I just put an inline clip on my cyborg'd magstrike. The ROF was way too high for the darts to come out properly so I banded the piston 5 times to slow things down a bit and increase the air flow. Right now, rocking a 6 dart clip, I can semi-auto the thing reliably if I crisply depress the trigger and release. Automatic fire is dependable and steady. Occasionally a dart will flub out but I haven't had hardly any double fires so that's a plus. The range seems higher too, but I can't say for sure.

Pros:
(seemingly) higher range
no stupid clip mechanic
waaaay easier to barrel
minimizes the magstrike considerably

Cons:
lower dart capacity
slower ROF
slower to reload if you have spare clips already loaded
slightly less dependable (flubs and double fires are inherent in RSCBs and inline clips)

I'll post some more solid info and some pics after work!

So, its a singled rf20? what the hell is the point of that, your going from 20 to 1. Unless you somehow replace the cardboard mag with the stock 20 bullet drum thingy. Once you do that I won't critisize you.
