Also, a singe metal bar linking the shotgun handle to the boltsled? Fail.

Correct on both parts. And yes, the spring is the same size as a recons, but slightly stronger.I spot 2 triggers for the catch plate. I guess that's how slam fire works.

*edit, nevermind you would have to also put a U shaped piece of 9/16 brass covering most of each slot *edit*

Yeah, well, don't get your hopes up. You know how crazy streamlines fly. After that vid this gun looks very promising.

There's lots of room for reinforcement.I don't like that bar at all. Maybe fiberglass composite around it? Ice, do you think there would be room in the shell for most of the bar to have a couple layers of fiberglass around it?

Well, thats why they have stefans, if this gun can get 70 -40 feet with streamlines with just an A-R removal then think of what it can get with a spring in the stock.

Ice, does it look like there would be a way to completely bypass that bar that connects the front Shotgun Priming system? For example, does it look like there would be a way to put a bolt on it so that you could completely remove the front barrel?

Why not buy a Longshot at that rate?does it look like there would be a way to put a bolt on it so that you could completely remove the front barrel?
Here's my take on it - at some point, someone is going to either use it to death by natural causes, or put one too many springs in it and have it experience a premature demise. At that point, said someone may offer the clip for sale (probably not here - we'd just toss it in our Longshot / Recon / Vulcan / clip-modded-BBBB.)
The Raider's firing mechanism sounds like the Recon, SP1 - an incremental fix, but nothing revolutionary. Its two key advantages are the 35 shot clip and the cocking mechanism (including 'Slam Fire'.) Stick a bolt in place of the cocking mechanism, and you have an underpowered Longshot.

Sorry about the picture size.I'm still trying to figure out photobucket.
The grey pieces that hold the darts space them so they don't squish-up.
(I already know someones going to take that the wrong way)
You'll say duh but you'll be glad 20 of your darts don't look like pancakes.

...but it's stock, the air restrictor is still in place.I feel kind of sorry for that gun. It's been dry fired excessively.
Exactly, the seal will become weakened because it's not pushing air out while the plunger is still being forced forward. Also, in your video, you call them clips, they're magazines, and yes, there's a difference between the two.

While I'm a bit disappointed about the range and that the bar in the slide is apparently flimsy, I can still think of a few situations in past wars where something like this would have come in handy. Ice, any chance we can get a comparison of range between this and the B/Y magstrike, if you've got one?

I suppose I could do that. And yes, Death by cheeze was right about what I paid for it.How about we get back on-topic about the RAIDER and not terminology and technical issues?

Ice, I would not advise an angel breech for the same reason that it is useless on a recon: These things already have enormous amounts of deadspace. An angel breech fixes the seal issue, but adds deadspace.
I would advise doing this:
This is on my recon. That is a piece of 17/32 brass nested in there. I didn't have enough brass to do the whole bolt, but I would highly advise it, if your stefans fit brass of that size. 9/16 won't work.
You need to cut the bolt like so:
Then, you sand out both ends until the brass fits in, and epoxy it all together. It added a good 15ft to my LS when I did it, as well as accuracy.
ANyway, it might be a good alternative to angel breeching the thing. This idea was started by ofallthenerf by the way, I take no credit for the intital idea.
It's just screaming to be rearloading...
I seen a movie about that once.

No, I see no real difference. The attachment doesn't cover any screws.Would you advise modding it before putting the attachments on?
Also, MSDFS, I might try that, but I am causious to cut the bolt as of now. The raider is disassembled at the moment, has been sanded, washed, and is no drying, to be primed today, and pained tomorrow.
EDIT: The other thing i'm thinking about doing is petg'ing the barrel.
