ENTIRE POST QUOTED LIKE A JACK ASS

Awesome, I see the five guys soda in the backround, I love Five Guys.

There was no need to quote his entire post and all the images. Quote specifically what you are referring to. And in this case, you were referring to absolutely nothing of use.

Sorry, did'nt realize

Look this isn't much of a range gun its more of an indoor/"fun gun" this gun has just about the moding potential of a Recon.
However it does have the 35 shot MAGAZINE witch might be helpful in a Longshot.

Not quite true, with just the AR's removed you get a top of 68' from it according to Ice's video. Though you can't really use most stefans you could use converted streamlines or longer stefans and get better/consistent ranges around 50-60 (fired flat) I am guessing.
Here is the link to firing test:

Again, this is only with the Ars removed. There are still things he can do to it, like etape to compress the spring more, power stock, seal improvement, new breech/brass in the breach, lube, straw mod to kill some dead space.

I can see the thing hitting 70ft with stefans once all those mods are done, and someone finds a way to make the drum mag stefan compatible.
With this thing's ROF and outrageous capacity, 70ft is all you need if you have a decent pair of legs.

Depends on the team size. I have annual wars of 8 to 10 people, so 4-5 a side. The deployment of a single raider can do serious damage in the right hands at such a war. I put a light spring in the stock of mine and it;s now hitting 55 consistently. It's also been painted. Pics tomorrow.

Ok, if I'm reading all this correctly, you've removed the AR's and added a spring addition in the stock, and you're hitting 55 feet consistently. I'm assuming that's with the same 3" single bb stefans, right? That's a beastly range for something with such a high ROF and ammo capacity. This might just be the Doomsayer of indoor/close-quarters combat. At 55 feet, it easily matches the range of anything else in my indoor arsenal. I might just have a new indoor primary in a few months...

Did you reinforce the cocking bar? I didn't see mention of whether you did or not, only that you might...

I did reinforce it slightly with putty. And no, that range is with streamlines.

How wide is it. It's hard to tell but it looks like theres room to integrate an AT2k, hornet or salvo tanks (I don't own a hornet or big salvo so don't fire ball +2 me)or at least a SSPB in there. Am I correct in assumeing that the raider is a wide as the longshot and recon?

Yeah, if this thing can hit 55ft with stock ammo and a spring addition and AR removal, it could probably take an angel breech. I wouldn't try it until they are available in stores in case you screw up, but I think it would make it work well with at least the regular clips and stefans.

55 feet with streamlines?! That's fantastic! Well then, I am sold. I will be grabbing at least one of these just as soon as I'm able.

While I've got your attention, perhaps you could answer another question, if you are able. Do you think it would be possible (whether with little work or a lot of work, whether modding the mag or the blaster) to reverse the drum mag's loading direction? (i.e. so that the drum faces downward instead of upward?

I ask because I have tentative plans to get ahold of a pair of these drum mags and a pair of recons, then mod the whole mess into a functional and aesthetically pleasing replica of a Storm Bolter from Warhammer 40,000 - simply because it would look ridiculously awesome. :)

(it might also make a halfway decent indoor weapon, what with the dual-firing, 35 round clip and all)

That idea (Storm Bolter) with the 2 drum mags reminds me of The Patriot submachine gun from Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4. I know my next big project...

That'd be pretty fucking bad ass. Its a shame that the drum isn't inline with the part of the magazine that attaches though.

And it'll be interesting to see in general what people will do mod-wise when it comes out legitimately. 55 feet streamlined with just this basic stuff is great news. Still too bad about the reverse-plunger design though.

I bet this could pull more range. Pop a copper BB inside the head of a Streamline by carefully expanding the hole in it with a pen. This increases range and accuracy dramatically. I didn't come up with this, AJ.Z told me a while back. I PM'd ice with this, he got back to me on how, and he hasn't read my response on how to do it. So ice, if you're reading, this is how. Try a range test with these darts, I'm sure it will be better and more accurate.

I've actually been doing this with 1/4oz weights and they are much more accurate if you can glue the hole properly, the problem being the weight requires more pressure. In my BBB they don't go as far as regular streamlines, but in my BBBB they shoot amazingly. My Recon, though, loses about 10' with these and that's 10' the Recon can't lose, but I haven't done a stock mod yet so hopefully that will help Ice with this.

Well, your wrong. It lessens range, but increases accuracy. Still to heavy for the raider.

It increases range ALOT on more powerful guns, since your darts aren't flying in every fucking direction, but I'd imagine it wouldn't help Recons/Raiders too much.

I don't see why everyone is going crazy over this gun!
Am I the only one who sees that it is just a supped up Recon? (except without the option of removing the barrel)

Admittedly the clip is rather sweet and "slamfire" looks like it could be useful, but still i don't see anything that would make this worth the $40 that i will probably cost!

This gun will change the way HvZ is played. Humans in groups have now become all but untouchable except to well planned surprise attacks. The ability to lay down that much foam with a non-vulcan weight weapon is game changing when indoors or for HvZ.

I think you need your sense of Fun checked.

20-30% better range.
Six times the ammo capacity.
Slam Fire.

This is looking to be everything the Vulcan wasn't, as far as a high-capacity, high ROF blaster.

I actually care more that it has a 4" priming stroke. You get a lot more leeway in making a breech with that amount of room to play with.

For comparison, my BBB has only a 3.5" priming stroke, which gives me only .5" of leeway on the breech since the nerf magazines are 3" long. Divide that among the 4 sections that take up space, and you're suddenly running out of room. Compensation either goes to more dead space (dart further away from plunger tube) or less reliable mag feed.

With the raider, all those problems will go away :)

maybe so but Im not going to have multiple orgasms over this when I've already got a perfectly good LS to use.
Maybe I'll pick one up if i see it on sale, but through my eyes its not quite that amazing.

And just because we have a few ranges and specs doesn't mean that it's going to be the most amazing gun ever! (which is what a lot of the people on here make it sound like!)

i can see where its positives are but it just seems like a very well polished and, gold leafed turd to me.

P.S. If i want a fun blaster I'm gonna go with a Dual shot! (would never use it in a war but it's a bunch of fun to use!)

I'm not that thrilled about the blaster itself. It's long, so it has lots of room for add-ons / integrations / steampunk decorative crap. From what I hear, it's a Recon++, so it won't suck as badly. I'm not sure about Slam Fire - I'll have to try it first. Me, I just like the crisp snap of squeezing the trigger right at the catch-point. Slam Fire has me worried I'll just feel like I'm slapping paint on a wall instead of using a paintbrush.

What has me excited is the magazine. If it was $20 for the blaster, I'd gladly toss the blaster into my parts bin and just use the mag. $40 for a box for my darts, though, that's a harder sell.

I really don't think a straw mod is advisable with this gun, or pretty much any gun that has decent airflow. On the Maverick, where the straw mod was originally used, the airflow is already greatly reduced, just by design, so eliminating dead space. For the minimal amount of dead space a straw mod on this gun would eliminate, the straw mod isn't worth it as airflow will be drastically reduced.
