We're going to try out Tatum County Park in Middletown. I just walked the park today and really liked what I saw. The area I have in mind is right outside the Activity Center and it's basically a flat picnic area that's divided by a grid of low hedges (about 4' high) with a few trees interspersed. I'll try to get some pictures posted by the end of the week.
This is a huge park with plenty of varied terrain. In addition to the main area, I also scouted out a few heavier wooded groves, some trails, and I even found those steps from the end fight scene in Fellowship of the Ring.
For those of you who are trying to rely on public transportation, the Middletown Train Station is only a mile from the park. If you can get your ass there I'll make sure you get a lift the rest of the way. If anyone feels they need my cellphone please PM me for it but don't depend on me having it with me once the war starts.
As it stands we're looking at about 16-17 Nerfers which I think is a great turn out BUT I would love to see us hit 20!

If you say no, because they're not technically guns... that part can be changed ^_~
Just give us a heads up so we'll know whether or not to pick some up~
And remember... if you say no, just be careful... you never know who might screen shot your reply and send it to Hasbro, and when they find out who just cost them a $15 profit... they might not risk that individual to be around any longer... for he might risk them losing profits again in the future~ *kalikkukaglahulg* (throat slitting sound )

What's the rules on those new Nerf swords? (Allowed or no? T-T)
Ok, here's my ruling on Nerf Swords:
An unaltered, Nerf brand, sword is legal if used in a safe and responsible manner.
Now that being said, my personal opinion is that bringing a sword to a gun fight is retarded. Expect to be picked last every round, mocked constantly, and if you're on my team I'm going to tell you to put the god damn thing away and use a gun.
Unless it's a Zombie Round.
I don't plan on running any Zombie Rounds.

Yeah, my whole aspiration with this war is to fuck Groove and his fancy new Guru. He's an asshole.
I'll revise the rules to something clearer in a minute.
I've actually spent my last couple of weeks building a PG (Peasant's Guru) to combat Groove's fancy new Guru... so wish me luck~
BTW Famine, have you decided on a "clever name" for this war yet? I ask because for a while now, every time I refer to this war, I had to call it "the nameless war on the 25th"..... and it's kinda exhausting T-T
PS How about at least one zombie round? Like for someone who's never been in or even seen one? Pretty please with hot girls on top?

We run a pretty tight war. We will have plans for each round, and we will have a good idea of what the teams should look like before hand. We are not interested in sitting on our asses between rounds, so we will keep things moving. Aside from a very brief lunch, the most time you can expect between rounds is goung to be 10-15 minutes. When you are out, I suggest you look for your darts in any area not currently occupied by active players. While famine or another member of Mag-7 may ask for feedback at some point in time during the war, do not expect any round to be run at the behest of anyone aside from the organizors. It's time we all got something straight. Nerf wars are NOT democracies. When they are run as such, the suck. A good nerf war is a fucking dictatorship run by someone with a plan. We've NEVER had a problem with any nerfer at any war we've ever run, and no one's ever told us they didn't have a good time. Be cool, follow directions, and be ready to nerf.
Oh, and congrats on the engagement Badger.

Talio, what barrels are you using? I should have something that will fit your stuff.
I don't think the kids should be reading stuff like this.

Sucks.
Have a good one, those who make it.
Gears: Ice9 and I have a relationship similar to that of myself and Jax.
liska: You snuggles?
Gears: The nerfers most likely to engage in a threesome.
I've seen you use an arrowstorm!!

Does that mean there will be an "All VS Groove" (AVG) round?

Not unless Groove wants to be Swayze, and nowadays...I can't imagine that anyone wants that.
