I'll have to post the pic w/o jokes... and just tell what happened...



Here's a group shot (Minus Badger and OMC because they said they don't do group shots, and Talio because he was still driving around trying to find this park; in his defense this park was kind of hard to find... Skitzo and JK were able to sing the entire "Journey" song from the entrance to the parking lot of this park... it's that big a place)




A personal thanks again to Skitzo, so thanks again Skitz for driving me to yet another war to get shot (no sarcasm intended, it was actually a nice change of pace to get shot by these things).




Here's a group shot of Badger's team getting prepared (I know; it doesn't look really organized).

Here's OMC after a few rounds later on in the day. This was taken right after Vacc angered OMC, and OMC decides to go middle eastern.

I'm not exactly sure what had happened, but judging from the expression on OMC's face,... one can assume it went his way~




Here's a pic of one of the "Plastic-Wrap Force Fields". If you look closely, you could see the dart-holes that some of our more powerful guns made (my Peasant's Guru included hehe). This particular force field was the only 1 that didn't survive the entire day... Sadly a few short minutes later, OMC got so pent up with rage that he went from OMC (One Man Clan) to OMWC (One Man Wrecking Crew) and threw his entire body through it. (actually he only managed to go half way... he did manage to take the entire wall down, but the plastic wrap was too strong for him, it didn't rip...)




Lastly, I did have a pic of my hand grabbing my groin area because one of you Mother #*#@##s!! thought it should be a tradition that I get shot in my crotch at least once each war... but I decided to just let it go, and fulfill Badger's request. After the Swayze round, Badger bent down to pick up his darts from the dart pile next to the table. *Insert sarcasm* Luckily for me,... I was given a front row view of his "Army Chizzled Buns of War"... and he said since I like taking pics so much... I should take a pic of that for the forum...

Wow, you're not blind yet? Well, that's all folks. I did take a bunch more, and a lot of videos of the actual rounds, but those take too long to upload, and my room is F*#(ING HOT AS A @*#^#%... so no videos~!!!

But before I finish, here's my pro's

EVERYTHING!!

I got to meet a few fighters from the past and all of you new ones!!
I got to shake CaptainSlug's HAND!!! WOOT!!
I got to fight with the Admins (I only got to shoot Vacc once, but damn it felt gewd~!!)
I got to see all of those rare retired guns from my youth!! And yeah OMC, my license IS real~ SO I AM THAT OLD~!!

but we all gotta agree that the temp could have been a few degrees lower...
Like Talio said, from 39 degrees to 85 in a week... that's just F*#$ed up!!

For everyone else' sake, I just pray APOC wont be as bad as today's temp...

Good war everyone, thanks for showing up and nerfing. I know it was hot, but Apoc will likely be much worse. In fact, I was expecting it to feel much hotter than it did. As Jersey goes, the humidity was pretty damn mild on saturday. I'm not sure what the Hersch t-shirt wring test revealed, but I'd be surprised if it was even as bad as last october's balmy DCNO.

Having Evil Angel show up was very cool, and everyone seemed to nerf very well. I just hope that by the tme the next war rolls around my knees are in a little better shape. I hadn't done any running in almost a month before this war because of them, and as a result my conditioning was terrible; which is doesn't effect shooting and being shot so much as being in the right place at the right time on a consistant basis.

Random points worth mentioning are as follow:

- Team Asshole played....well pretty much how you'd expect from the name. I was simultaniously dispointed and proud of you all.
- OMC was back in action and in the mood to entertain. Also, baawls.
- For all the hype on Split's +pistol, his 1500 seemed much more dangerous. Oh wait, scratch that, Dark Shrimp just banned it. That's tough.
- I got annoyed and kicked Ted. That may not really sound that bad now that I write it, but it was pretty uneccesary at the time. I'm sorry Ted.

-Double kill with Splitlip
-Getting a jump shot over the hedges more than once
-“I know our team officially won the Swayze round, but I have this feeling that we all lost in the end.”
-Actually winning a gunslinger round
-Loosing, then finding my glasses

-Somehow finding the city, while trying to avoid it.

OMG, I think I can speak for JK as well when I say we're all glad you found your glasses in the end. I don't even want to imagine WTF would have happened to us if you drove w/o them. We're still having night terrors about that 180 turn you did while going at 40 MPH in the highway. T_T *hands still shaking*

Yeah, the 1500 was kinda.. beast. I didn't have the right weights for the +pistol to make it shoot full range (one copper bb weight in that amount of power doesn't do much), but it did well. The rscb clip + that worked extremely well, and in one round I got 7 kills before I had gotten hit yet, which was an entire clip. Overall, I had a shit ton of hits with it. I suppose I should change my "claim".. It's going to be "furthest shooting springer that can last an entire war without breaking".

Anyway, I reamed Hersh with the 1500 from far too close. It has a slow leak, and it had been a long stand off, so I didn't think it would do the damage it did. Apologies.

Other notes worth mentioning:
Rachetblast.
Donuts.
My "pistol" doing really well.. Too well. Apparently it's banned as well. And so is the +pistol. And rscb clips.
Talio liked his +bow, but always says everything I make is shit anyway, because he can't match darts to barrels for his life.
Seeing Hersh's infinite backup pistol strategy
3 shots for 3 hits with the 1500 around the back of the house. Peek out, shoot, hit badger in the leg, hit skitzo, ream Zach in the head.
Uptight dickheads at Hooligans + Viking amounts of profanity + little kids + free milkshake = dinner
Mini-rivalry with skitzo the entire war. Kid, you run and shoot way too much for the temperature it was.
Showing up "Doc Terror"'s ranges just by switching darts. Skill. inorite.

Hey everyone;

Sorry for the delay but I had to catch a flight to the West Coast pretty early on Sunday morning. I'm writing this post from my laptop in a Starbuck's in Seattle, Washington. I kind of hate myself a little right now and this coffee tastes like shit.

Anyways, I just wanted to thank everyone who showed up on Saturday. The heat was brutal, the rules at times were ridiculous, but god damn I had a great time Nerfing with you all. I've certainly gained a new respect for most of the Nerfers who attended which I can't say has happened at any war I've attended over the past 2 years.

Highlights:
- Ted was there.
- Ted was only there half the war.
- Surprise appearance by THE Angel.
- Being surprised by THE Angel's affection for Swayze.
- Being surprised by being Swayzed by THE Angel.
- Scoring four consecutive hits with Doc Terror.
- Having Doc Terror be openly distained by both Captain Slug and Splitlip
- The most ignoble ending to a Gunslinger match EVER.
- Working with Evil, Kurt, Slug, and Groove to severly punish the other team for going in the 'Bad Box'.
- Waiting around two hours for someone's parents to show up. You know who you are. I like you, but next time you will be left to the diddlers and harsh justice of Park Rangers. OMC was Chicken McHungry.
