I worry though about crowds and getting kicked out of the park by the rangers, we wouldn't have anywhere else to go.

If you'd like to risk the outright ``no'' that would doom us, feel free to call and ask them for permission. If they're not down with it we can always revert to Venado. You're the man for talking to outsiders about Nerf.

As far as lack of cover goes, it would definitely be a different war than we're used to. It's more cover than Venado has in the CTF area, but considerably less than the urban area.

Let me be perfectly clear in saying that even though I went to a shitload of trouble scouting the park, I don't feel any particular attachment to it. If someone has a better idea or, ideally, a place that we have prior permission to use, let's hear about it now.

I'm more curious about your urban area you're trying to get permission to....whats that all about?

its about the same size as the old urban area,i'll post some pictures of it.

basically, its on a slope with buildings forming a square, in the center are a bunch of trees and tables, ramps go up to all of the buildings.

I have but one question: are there a lot of other 14 year old kids there? My mom's a little weird about me playing with guys twice as old as me. Doesn't really matter to me, though!

Oh yea, I mean there are only like 3 people that are 20 or over. The majority of the people who play are 15-18, but there is a large group of 10-14 year olds as well. We've had people as young as 8 and as old as mid forties play. So age wise, you'd be right smack in the middle. If your mom has any other questions, tell her to email me at spoon11@cox.net.

I'm almost to the point of saying screw all you SoCal people and flying to east coast wars where people generally show up. Pasadena crew is out. SD crew is out. Haven't heard from anyone in SM other than Zack. Desert Storm likewise off the radar. Basically the only people who come to wars anymore are the Irvine guys and me.
