I believe Lucian discovered this and posted in the product awareness thread; it's essentially a new version of the old Bow and Arrow, with the box saying it's designed by the same guy. Comes with far-flying but horribly inaccurate "arrows", and is about $20 (and is eligible for free shipping with the large orders, or by itself if you're a college student and get Amazon Prime free for a year!).

Since this is a BnA for all intents and purposes, I advise you to read Fome's writeup HERE, or any of the other BnA writeups, as they cover the basics well enough as is.

The internals are essentially the same; while there is slightly more plastic on the grip arm of the bow, I'd still advise reinforcing it, as with the original. Also, there are no slots for attaching bungees; you'll either have to go around an arm or, in my case, hook into the case after you've cut it for your new barrel assembly.


(not shown: the bungee ends are now hooked in the front of the plastic shell, where I cut for the PVC elbow. Keeps the force lined up so you aren't bending or stressing the plunger assembly any more than necessary.)

With a ~7 dart RSCB and ~7" CPVC barrel, I'm getting consistent 80s down the dorm hall, at least when I'm firing straight. Stuff like this takes practice when you don't use it, after all. I only have hot glue securing the stuff; at some point I will add the stopcock I designed back in August in place of Fome's selector assembly, so I can shoot arrows on the fly with a quick turn of the handle. Because who wants a bow that can't fire arrows???

That's all; this was mainly to inform people that the spirit of the BnA still exists. Although the bows invading the homemades thread are admittedly even more awesome, if you care to take the time :-)

2 questions:
How is the stock seal on the plunger head? And, how comfortable is that grip? It seems a little iffy from the pictures

If it truly is identical to the Bow 'N Arrow, it should be fantastic. I have a BnA, and when it was stock I could stop the plunger by plugging the two air release holes on the barrel.

Nice man, those are good ranges for an RSCB. When I modded mine I was only hitting 60's for some reason--- it probably pointed down when I was firing, but yeah. How's the stock spring? Do you have a BnA to compare it to?

1) It's a good seal, but from plugging the end and firing, it seems to have the same leakage in the last 1/2" to 1" of the plunger tube that some of the BnAs had. Not surprising. But the airflow is massive enough for that to be pretty trivial. Although I relaly should open it up again and make sure everything is actually sealed at the front of the PT.

2) The grip is very comfortable in my hands, but they're smaller compared to a lot of people. This thing was made for kids, after all. I suppose you could redo it to your liking...

EDIT FOR BRODERICK: At the moment, I do not have an actual BnA to compare with, but memory says the spring is pretty similar.

The internals look almost exactly like BnA internals, which is definitely a good thing.

I'd love to see this finished with the stopcock you're talking about.

Update/necro I meant to do last week; between being sick and modding everyone's stuff, I hadn't posted shit in terms of blasters.

Compared to an actual BnA (using a contract's pre-modification Faux Bow)
