#301403 Apoc Round Schedule and Sign Up

Posted by debandgeek12 on 12 July 2011 - 01:42 PM in Nerf Wars

1-9. Deathmatch

Are Zorn-style BBBBs classified as having an intact and stock OPRV? Asking to be safe.

#300903 DCNF #1- Now Recapping!

Posted by debandgeek12 on 02 July 2011 - 06:40 PM in Nerf Wars

The idea was fun while it lasted. Mother has talked me into doing something else for my birthday. I will look forward to future DCNFs however.

#300852 DCNF #1- Now Recapping!

Posted by debandgeek12 on 01 July 2011 - 09:16 AM in Nerf Wars

Since I'm late to the party, I doubt I'll matter, but I'm a 70% yes for the "Big One." It's also on my birthday, tehe. I probably won't make the Aftermath, though.

#300797 New Nerf Guns

Posted by debandgeek12 on 30 June 2011 - 09:09 AM in News

@Hasbro- you released this info on the Facebook page ages ago! Why just now let us know? If Hasbro can't keep up its send of supplying new information to the community, I fail to see why we're holding back from speculation threads (such fun little shitstorms those) and reporting the news when it crops up on the net instead of waiting an extra 2 months for a piss-poor release given secondhand!

This update, however, gives us approximate prices for each of the Vortex blasters, which is something new.

#300429 Apoc 2011 Game Types

Posted by debandgeek12 on 23 June 2011 - 06:29 PM in Nerf Wars

Is Death Match going to be 3-15 or some other type?

#300405 Dart Tag Sharp Shot

Posted by debandgeek12 on 23 June 2011 - 09:19 AM in Modifications

I just realized that this was a Jerky Chew and Bud Light Lime-fueled adventure. A standing ovation for Mr. SRS J. I'm going to assume melting plastic can be avoided with less hurried drilling and patience.

#299039 Buzz Bee Hunter, Mods 'n pics

Posted by debandgeek12 on 31 May 2011 - 04:58 AM in Modifications

Reading this just before I leave for school makes me excited in my pants. If only Hunters were anywhere around me.

#298686 Apocalypse 2011

Posted by debandgeek12 on 26 May 2011 - 04:20 PM in Nerf Wars

If someone's willing to share darts with/sell darts to me, I can make any date, since none of them interfere with marching season. In addition, does anyone have experience with the durability and/or shatter resistance of chemical goggles? I'd imagine it's good, but still.

#291624 Is The Power Unity System Still In Production?

Posted by debandgeek12 on 27 December 2010 - 10:06 AM in General Nerf

Related question: Does anyone know whether the Big Bad Titan is still in production for Target?

#288147 Beltway Bedlam

Posted by debandgeek12 on 08 November 2010 - 06:52 PM in Nerf Wars

I'd be interested. This is not a stock dart war, correct?

#287120 Spooky Illinois Foam Fest -- Canceled

Posted by debandgeek12 on 18 October 2010 - 05:07 AM in Nerf Wars

I am a no-go. Mid-West nerfing next year.

#286747 Need Some Clip Blaster 10 Advice

Posted by debandgeek12 on 10 October 2010 - 11:40 AM in Modifications

First off this was not shooting through the wall unless it is made out of tissue paper. Secondly streamlines are a little to long for the clip that might be your problem.

I assume that by "practically put a streamline through a wall" he means that it made a very loud noise when it hit the wall. On the streamline note, yes.

I am going to a wedding this weekend, and because my mother doesn't tell me about things in advance, I cannot go.

#285735 The Most Importantest Birthday Ever!

Posted by debandgeek12 on 19 September 2010 - 03:21 PM in Off Topic

Was late for grz's birthday.....but still wants to know if he can have some glamour shots to make shirts to wear to Michael Cera GRZ movies and also Ellen Page RAGE movies.

I'm now a Nipple.

#285528 Screw Off

Without Captain Slug, this hobby would be so far behind. Thanks, Slug.

#285485 Pacbow Write-up

Posted by debandgeek12 on 16 September 2010 - 05:26 AM in Homemades

Awesome write-up, Ryan. If contracted, will these be one-offs or will you wait to machine several then sell them?
Once again, I nominate The Sterilizer or The Extractor as a name for yours.

#285372 Spooky Illinois Foam Fest -- Canceled

Posted by debandgeek12 on 13 September 2010 - 08:29 PM in Nerf Wars

A maybe I am, as I hope to start nerfing in the midwest this year.

I'm a maybe, most likely under the Turkey category.

#284568 Nerf Stampede - Voltage Increase / Rof & Firing Tests

Posted by debandgeek12 on 02 September 2010 - 08:08 AM in Modifications

It looks nice, I just think that the darts will jam. You may also burn out the motor.

The darts jamming is not likely, whereas the motor burning out over time is.

#284516 Pump-action Crossbow

Posted by debandgeek12 on 01 September 2010 - 06:04 PM in Homemades

After the TornadoBow was dubbed The Impregnator, I feel that the Pump-Action Crossbow should be named The Sterilizer. Or maybe The Extractor.

#284294 Pump-action Crossbow

Posted by debandgeek12 on 29 August 2010 - 09:02 PM in Homemades

Supah leet. Gets supah range.
I like it. After inspecting the pictures more closely, edit.
Would these be available for contract?

#284265 Dartsmithing Tips Archive

Posted by debandgeek12 on 29 August 2010 - 10:01 AM in Darts and Barrels

Has anyone tried these McMaster felt tips for slug darts and if so are they good cause they are sure cheap. The part number for it is 8771K22 and it is only $5.87 for a pack of 500. It these aren't good where can I buy felt tips in bulk?

I'm pretty sure that those are the felt tips people already use normally.
Edit: Confirmed.

#284194 Double Mavericks In Action

Posted by debandgeek12 on 28 August 2010 - 12:49 PM in Modifications

Very well done. I would like to see how you made the over/under double turret.

He made a write-up a while ago. You need some 1/4" wood.

#283827 Mavrick Spring On Nitefinder Plunger Rod Help

Posted by debandgeek12 on 23 August 2010 - 11:08 AM in Modifications

1. The maverick spring will indeed fit, but you have to fit it into the NF spring.
2. It won't break your gun, but reinforcing the plunger head is something you should always do with an AR removal/spring addition.

#283770 Air Tank Explosions

Posted by debandgeek12 on 22 August 2010 - 08:14 PM in Modifications

This might be my distrust of suspicious questions (just kidding) but I hope you are asking this from caution, not malice. Also, I don't think so. It would definitely crack before it exploded.

#283591 Modifying A Longshot?

Posted by debandgeek12 on 20 August 2010 - 10:56 AM in Modifications

Astray, it would be an addition usually.

#283335 For You

Happy Birthday Vacc. May your awesome follow you everywhere.

#283114 Alpha Trooper Air Restrictor Removal

Posted by debandgeek12 on 14 August 2010 - 09:35 AM in Modifications

In response to my earlier comment, even though it doesn't provide as much variety, if one just wants the slam fire and doesn't want to spend as much to get a larger clip/drum, this is a good alternative to the Raider.

#282903 Wtb Crossbow

Posted by debandgeek12 on 12 August 2010 - 02:53 AM in Off Topic

I agree with Blacksunshine. With less than 300 posts, you are not allowed to have that level of firearm. You need more Gamerscore.

#282640 Alpha Trooper Air Restrictor Removal

Posted by debandgeek12 on 09 August 2010 - 10:08 PM in Modifications

Hmm...without the stock on the Raider, they appear to be about the same length. Maybe there's not as much variety as I thought.

#282622 Alpha Trooper Air Restrictor Removal

Posted by debandgeek12 on 09 August 2010 - 07:53 PM in Modifications

Do you have a Raider so you can take a picture of a size comparison? If so, that would be appreciated.

#282619 Alpha Trooper Air Restrictor Removal

Posted by debandgeek12 on 09 August 2010 - 07:46 PM in Modifications

After the advancement of the Deploy not having a bolt sled, it's sad to see this have a bolt sled. However, it is shorter than the Raider, and still has Slam Fire, so I guess it's something different. Thanks for the internals and write-up ZimZam.

EDIT: Had forgotten that sci-olyrocks posted internals first. However, there are some more detailed pictures here, so credit to both.

#282193 Slambow Video

Posted by debandgeek12 on 05 August 2010 - 10:21 AM in Homemades

At the dumb off-hand comment by debandgeek, there are perks to contributing to the community. I don't see why that's a problem. If you put in a lot of time, money and work to help others, would you rather have it recognized and credited, or have other people take credit and spend their time on secret projects where they only post on their "special" site?

I understand that there are perks to contributing. I was just saying that because I haven't done that, I don't have the perk of being sarcastic-type. From what I've seen, most non-contributors that make sarcastic comments are extremely erotic. I just don't like taking risks.
And to answer your question, assuming it isn't rhetorical, I would obviously have in credited, but then again, the question sounds a bit rhetorical.

EDIT:If it makes me sound less nublidite, I find this useful, for zerg rushing and also long range. Thank you Split.

#282160 Slambow Video

Posted by debandgeek12 on 04 August 2010 - 10:20 PM in Homemades

I don't know whether to be sarcastic or congratulatory. Seeing as I don't have the reputation of Zorn or Talio, I guess I'll say congrats!

In the video, the plunger moves back kind of slowly. Does it need lube, or am I just not used to the plunger travel speed of homemades?

#282100 Anti-oz Shotgun

Posted by debandgeek12 on 04 August 2010 - 01:32 PM in Homemades

By crazy I mean ballstastic. No edit here: I mean that.

Not sure if that's a good thing, as in ball-launching awesomeness, or if it's a bad thing, as in balls.

On topic, this is brilliant. I plan on making one to replace my Pango. Now I can use the Pango for a hopper, and this for close scatters. Thanks PVC.

#281478 Raider - Replaced Internals (mega Missile) - The Mega Raider

Posted by debandgeek12 on 28 July 2010 - 10:29 AM in Modifications

I agree whole-heartedly Rogue. Indeed, without the slamfire, the raider loses it's maximum ROF, but this is essentially an airgun version of what Kane did by butting a Raider drum on a BBB. Both mods use the capacity of the drum, but do not have the ROF of the Raider. However, I think this gets better ranges than the BBB, no?

#281475 Raider - Replaced Internals (mega Missile) - The Mega Raider

Posted by debandgeek12 on 28 July 2010 - 10:23 AM in Modifications

Oh I understand. I think at my local hardware store it's sold as conduit PVC.

#281474 The Stitchmanta

Posted by debandgeek12 on 28 July 2010 - 10:20 AM in Homemades

This is hella impressive bags. About how long did it take to cut/stitch the burlap and resin it, that is, project time for one stitchmanta start to finish?

#281472 Raider - Replaced Internals (mega Missile) - The Mega Raider

Posted by debandgeek12 on 28 July 2010 - 10:12 AM in Modifications

I find this extremely useful. I'm unfamiliar with UPVC. Where did you get yours?
