#301549 Ignore

Posted by Banshee on 14 July 2011 - 07:35 PM in Modifications

Ignore this, I managed to double post because this new forum design is somewhat confusing. If a Mod comes by, please remove this.

#208601 How

Posted by Banshee on 01 February 2009 - 12:47 PM in Modifications

How about you don't because concept threads piss everyone off. We want to see REAL mods, not idea's for them. Take a camera, take pictures of a real mod, and post it up. Otherwise you're going to waste everyone's time.

#211941 Lnl Like Crossfire Or The Cross N Load

Posted by Banshee on 13 February 2009 - 08:45 AM in Modifications

This is a Cross N Load.

No it's not? That's a Crossfinder. He calls it a Cross N Load because he removed the shell like you do on a Lock N Load. However I don't see a reason to because unlike with the lnl, the Crossfire's shell doesn't effect its performance. And by the way, invest in a new camera, your pictures are retched.

#241388 Does Anyone Have Internal Pictures Of This?

Posted by Banshee on 10 July 2009 - 11:59 PM in Modifications

Here's my two cents. The gun is not a spring gun, its a pump gun. the pump is in the front. Judging by the design from the outside I guessing the internals are very similar to this. I picked one up at a Goodwill some months ago and its completely helpless. With a new barrel, at 150 pumps it fires about 40 feet. That's a total guess, but it's my guess. If I were you I'd just spend the money on a PAS. It gets better ranges than most crossbows anyways.

#257214 Spings And O Rings

Posted by Banshee on 25 November 2009 - 12:23 AM in Modifications

What was the point of this thread? The o-ring size can be found by searching. I know for a fact we've discussed that before. Other than that you haven't told us anything we haven't already known, so try not posting things like this again.

#313835 Supermaxx 500 Leak

Posted by Banshee on 01 April 2012 - 03:23 PM in Modifications

I've been messing with this one for a few weeks now and I'm stumped. I bought it at a thrift store, and I was pretty thrilled about it, but later I found that it doesn't hold pressure. You pump it up and it leaks right out of the barrel end of the tank. I opened it up and put it under water, and it leaks from the front of the tank and nowhere else. The check valve is fine, the hole for the firing pin is fine, its just the rubber seal in the tank that leaks. I was really disappointed because the only way to get to the seal was to cut the barrel off. And that means the gun will never be in original condition which is what I wanted, but I'd rather have a working modded gun than a broken stock gun, so I cut the barrel off.

Once I could get to the seal, I used a little oil on it, that didn't do anything. So then I put a little lithium grease on it. That helped a tiny bit, but it still wont hold pressure. Its not an instant leak, I'd say it takes about a second to leak out 2 pumps. When I push the firing pin into the tank and pump it, it makes no difference, so I don't think a stronger spring would fix it. It seems that higher pressure seems to help seal it, so plugging the pump might work, but not only is the pump glued in and I can't get it out, but I hear that plugging the pump on a SM500 can blow the tank, so I really don't know what to do. I would like to be able to soften the glue on the tank and open it up. I don't want to cut it because I've never been able to successfully glue tanks back together, and since this tank is attached to the pump as one big piece, I'm not even going to try.

I've done everything I know how to do to fix this thing, and I haven't gotten very far. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

#198349 Brass?

Posted by Banshee on 23 December 2008 - 04:04 PM in Modifications

Oh my gosh, do some searching. If you've been around for 2 months you'd have seen at least 3 topics about copper piping. Copper can NEVER be used in nerf guns unless you find custom darts to fit it. Its just too big. They make it in practically one size and its expensive as well as heavy. It'll never be used as a barrel material as long as we have brass.

#203232 At3k - Removable Rose Turret

Posted by Banshee on 13 January 2009 - 11:42 PM in Modifications

Cool, so hows the range on that thing because marker barrels give bad enough range much less ones who are still half intact. Like measurements if you can because I have 4 nite finders that all shoot different ranges.

#125253 Sorry To Bring Up The Maverick Mod Again, Help

Posted by Banshee on 06 October 2007 - 07:38 PM in Modifications

I don't know if it's way too late to reply to this, or why no one replied, but this is a easy fix. Take a mega dart or to and shove the end in the hole after you open up the turret, cut it short in the hole so you have a hollow piece of foam in the hole. take the bottom of the turret and quickly cover each ring with a bead of hot glue and put the 2 parts together before it all cools down. that will work and the ranges will be as good if not better than before.

#190336 Nerf Maverick Help

Posted by Banshee on 17 November 2008 - 07:55 PM in Modifications

Try looking in the mod directory for an internal picture. Here, this should be good enough:

If its not, you shouldn't be nerfing...

#161407 Sm 1500 Pump Replacement Problem

Posted by Banshee on 03 July 2008 - 06:56 PM in Modifications

First of all, where did you get that pump and whats it for?

But I know what your problem is. In most pumps for guns there is a rubber gasket at the end that lets air in to the tank but not out. You don't have the gasket in the new pump so you can't hold the pressure in. What i would've done is take an old pump with the hose still on it, cut most of the pipe off the original pump. Then you wrap e-tape around the stump of pipe until it fits the opening of you new pump. Then take a piece of PVC of your desired size and stick it over the e-tape. (Make sure its very tight). Then blow into the open end to make sure its sealed perfectly. Then create a new pump handle with a new O-ring, make sure its a perfect fit. I use this on my RF20, Magstrike, and a few of my super soaker's. SO MUCH NICER to only have to pump 10 times to shoot 20 darts!

Hope that helped!

#208532 Increasing Magstrike Trigger Stroke?

Posted by Banshee on 01 February 2009 - 02:22 AM in Modifications

I'm not 100% if it'll work, but the pin that sticks out of the trigger mechanism could possible trimmed down. If not, then cut a notch out of the trigger itself so the trigger goes farther back before it hits the MS trigger.

#270682 Change Goo Color On A At3k

Posted by Banshee on 29 March 2010 - 02:43 PM in Modifications

I've done it in a few guns I've sold, I even posted pictures up. A lot of people have done it, I just added food coloring, nothing fancy there! Just a few drops. However if you do an AT3k, it'll be hard to change blue to any color. Except green if you add some yellow.

#185960 Angel Breech (or Any Ls Or Recon Breech)

Never mind, you fixed it.

#184946 Demon Breech( Titan Mod) Update!

Posted by Banshee on 22 October 2008 - 04:57 PM in Modifications

Ok, and now you've STOLEN one of my pictures without asking for permission.

WAY TO GO.

You also didn't need a second post, you EDIT your first one.

AND this isn't a breech.

Please do not steal pictures without asking permission first.

Im srry about ur pic i totaly forgot. like i said im a noob i cant post well

Being a noob isn't an excuse to try and suck dicks. My advice to all noobs, spend at LEAST 3 months on this site before posting. You'll learn how its run. I had been on here for years before ever becoming a member, and I've never been yelled at. So fix up your shit. Read the CoC and here's what you did wrong with you last post:

"Im srry about ur pic i totaly forgot. like i said im a noob i cant post well"

Try it like this...

"I'm sorry about your picture, I totally forgot. Like I said, I'm a noob, I can't post well. Here's 20 dollars for trying to suck your dick."

#250068 Air Zone Quickload Power Blaster

Posted by Banshee on 10 September 2009 - 05:08 PM in Modifications

Welcome to nerf haven, here it is pretty much widely known that motorized guns suck in every way and even with modification, they still suck. You wont make it shoot farther, only faster and louder, and the way its designed means you wont be able to use the drum mag. My advice to you, don't bother. For the same price you can get a Tommy 20 which is just as loud and obnoxious but fires 20 darts. Or for the same price, you could get a Raider that has the drum mag.

Edit: Now that I look at it, the way the gun is shaped doesn't look like there is room for wheels on the sides and the clip doesn't look like there's room for wheels to hit the darts. So maybe it uses the same plunger styled system as an AEG airsoft gun or the Vulcan. Someone should get one and let us know.

#251801 I Got A Maverick And A Crossfire.

Posted by Banshee on 27 September 2009 - 01:38 AM in Modifications

You're on the fast track to getting your ass banned off this forum. There's a pinned modification thread here for that. DO NOT post bulletins asking us to spoon feed you shit, you'll get torn to pieces for it by everyone here. I'm probably going to get yelled at for even replying to this, but I'm against people getting banned with no warning. Read the Code of Conduct at the top of the page, follow it and you'll have no problems.

#160788 Doubleshot Reassembly

Posted by Banshee on 28 June 2008 - 07:13 PM in Modifications

Thanks a lot, however I found out why it never fired, the brown plastic plunger rod had snapped from overuse and it was beyond repair, so I'm scrapping it out.

#298060 Inconstant blaster fire.

Posted by Banshee on 14 May 2011 - 01:00 AM in Modifications

I stick some BB gun BB's in the tips of mine through the little hole. Just one will make the dart shoot straighter. But if you're using a high powered gun like a 4B or a Titan, I put 3 BB's in. Its cheaper and easier than most other methods.

#125284 Sorry To Bring Up The Maverick Mod Again, Help

Posted by Banshee on 06 October 2007 - 11:44 PM in Modifications

WOAH! I never checked the year on that! I thought it was only like a month or so old, so I figured what the hey?! Man, I'm sorry, my bad!

#263385 Help With The Buzzbee Belt Blaster!

Posted by Banshee on 27 January 2010 - 08:33 AM in Modifications

My belt blaster shoots over 50 feet still using the chain. Just bore out all the shells in the chain and increase the airflow out of the plunger. Its pretty self explanatory, figure it out.

#267513 Maverick Not Firing

Posted by Banshee on 01 March 2010 - 07:20 PM in Modifications

I personally think that any mod to the turret helps little to none and isn't even worth the effort. the best thing you can do is a roulette mod and a new spring. But then your cocking pin will break real quick so you might as well replace that with a bolt. Or you best option would be to get your hands on a better gun, because the maverick is only fun, not practical.

The Maverick is only good for indoor battles, and I recommend leaving the turret alone unless you really know what you're doing.

If all you do is indoor battles, I highly recommend the Belt Blaster. This thing shoots 40 feet as fast as you can pump it, unmodded. Anyone with mavericks stand no chance.

#281293 What Size Brass Fits Stock Darts?

Posted by Banshee on 26 July 2010 - 03:39 PM in Modifications

I can't make my own darts because the only foam the stores sell around me is crap and by the time I ordered foam and materials or all ready made darts, I could've just bought a 100 pack of streamlines and stuck a BB in the tip. And besides, I suck at making darts. But thanks for your help.

#125230 Maverick Turret Romval?

Posted by Banshee on 06 October 2007 - 04:49 PM in Modifications

Well I have a huge indoor battle at my brothers college next week so the maverick is perfect for close range rapid fire (I would use my RF20, but it broke). I have 2 nite finders, and airtech 2000 and that funky little dart tag thing, I forgot what its called, but all me other guns broke in boxing when I moved houses so thats all I have for now. So I'm using my mav as a sidearm, might as well get the best out of it.

#125241 Help With At 3000

Posted by Banshee on 06 October 2007 - 05:50 PM in Modifications

Is it the one in the plunger? If so the whole end of the plunger is lubricated and you probably had some grease in the valve when you filled it. The glue wont stick to the grease at all. Take a q-tip and clean it out well, then try again. You could put some tape over the hole afterwards for safe measures.

#286010 Nite Finder Air Restricter Confusion

Posted by Banshee on 24 September 2010 - 09:31 PM in Modifications

It's not rocket silence to get a barrel on there, but from my experience, the best way is you take the entire ring out of the middle so all you're left with is the outside ring. Then put your barrel all the way into it so its flush with the bottom and fill the gap between the barrel and the ring with whatever glue you'd like.

#281407 What Size Brass Fits Stock Darts?

Posted by Banshee on 27 July 2010 - 07:17 PM in Modifications

I wanted a loose fit so the breech would function smoother. I ended up getting 9/16" and nested it into 19/32" much like a simplified version of the Angel breech and it works awesomely. I'm getting 80's to 90's with single BB stock darts and an added nite finder spring. So thanks guys!

#281291 What Size Brass Fits Stock Darts?

Posted by Banshee on 26 July 2010 - 03:32 PM in Modifications

I am heading to a hardware store after work and I don't have a dart with me to test fit the brass sizes, but last time I was there there where two sizes that were very close to each other. One size fit looser than PETG, and one fit almost as tight as CPVC. I'm using stock sonic micro's and I'm using the brass for a brass breech in a longshot, not very similar to Angel's, so I can't take his word for the sizes, especially since he used tightening rings.

If I use the tighter brass, I'll risk trimming the darts, so I need to know if anyone knows which size fits the best for what I'm doing? I can add tightening rings on loose brass, but I can't expand the brass very easily.

Thanks!
Banshee

#229547 Combo Spring + Air Powered Nerf Gun

Posted by Banshee on 11 May 2009 - 08:47 AM in Modifications

The closest you'll get is integrating like an AT2K in some springer with a good rof, like a Longshot or a dart tag gun.

#181455 Best Spring For Lock 'n Load

The front right shock spring from an '83 Buick Regal. MASSIVE RANGE.

#174542 Foaming The Maverick

It might have been better to contact the creator of the mod, it would've been a little more direct. Unless he's inactive, then screw it.

#162786 How Do You Make A Clothespin Trigger?

Posted by Banshee on 14 July 2008 - 05:09 PM in Homemades

The writeup for the SNAP-1mk2 has an in-depth description of how and why it works. You can find it here.

Thanks! I didn't see this when I searched. What about all those dead picture links? Is there any way to put them back up without going too far out of your way, because they'd really help!

#182338 Steampunking Longshot

Posted by Banshee on 08 October 2008 - 12:38 AM in Modifications

Steam punk is usually done in all brush paints because you need to get the worn out, rusty, and old look. Spray paint is too even. Also, you're going to want a ton of oxidized copper nic-nacks to fuck your gun up with, so go for it.

#195790 Range Shot

Posted by Banshee on 13 December 2008 - 01:30 AM in Modifications

I think you'd get better results if you cut the tube short and shove the barrel all the way into the orange part on top. There's a lot of dead space there.

#239702 I Need Help

Posted by Banshee on 01 July 2009 - 10:49 PM in Modifications

Why'd you open it? Unless you had an idea of what you're going to do to it, you shouldn't have opened it. The best mods can be done without opening it. And "iNerf" Seriously? What do you have to suck Steve Jobs dick for? No offense... Haha.

#162783 How Do You Make A Clothespin Trigger?

Posted by Banshee on 14 July 2008 - 05:02 PM in Homemades

Okay, I'm sure I'm going to get yelled at for this, but I've been searching for an hour now and I've found all kinds of stuff of clothespin triggers and other triggers EXCEPT how to make one! I understand the concept of it because its pretty simple, but what I don't understand in what happens when you pull back the plunger? Wouldn't the plunger head get stuck on the nail? So that would mean you'd have to pull the trigger to cock it. then does the nail hold the plunger from in front of the head, or a hole drilled in the head? I'm so confused. I can't find anything that actually shows how to make one the right way and how it works. I've never made a homemade before I always just mod guns, but now I'm really lost.

Sorry for being the "Homemade Noob" but I could use some help here.

#160790 Nf Help

Posted by Banshee on 28 June 2008 - 07:20 PM in Modifications

It sounds like its your barrel. Barrel size and material is VERY sensitive to how you're gun shoots. If its scored inside, it'll suck, if it's to big it'll suck, and if its to small it'll suck too. (Something about that sentence seemed sexual...) I suggest using a barrel thats requires no effort to push the dart in, but when you hang the gun danger-end down, the dart shouldn't fall out. Then you know your barrel is good.

#125223 Maverick Turret Romval?

Posted by Banshee on 06 October 2007 - 04:20 PM in Modifications

Yeah, the range went from like 30' down to 25'. Not very much at all, but considering that the gun has crappy ranges to begin with, it didn't make me happy. And I nerf quite a bit, but I've been through like 3 mavericks cuz they all broke from over modding and abuse, so I'm a little hesitant because i'm running out of good guns...

#256997 Clear Coat Stickiness

Posted by Banshee on 22 November 2009 - 01:36 AM in Modifications

Wait until the base coat is completely dry then apply Krylon crystal clear coat. It dries in under an hour to the touch and is not sticky at all. And the can costs like 3 bucks and will clear a lot of guns before you run out. Just let the gun dry, otherwise the oils in your hands seep in and the paint never seems to dry where you hold on to it. It will also turn a nasty brown color.
