#303085 Modification and Paintjob Pictures

Posted by jakejagan on 09 August 2011 - 02:15 AM in Modifications

Hey guys, I decided to stop smoking so much and actually mod even though I don't go to any wars and I get sick right before the biggest wars in California.

I re-painted hendrix
Posted Image

Yeah, it was a cool design that I thought of when I was on a crazy trip yo.

Posted Image

This was when I was sober, but it's still awesome-sauce.

I'm out.

#281395 Mano 2.5 Footage

Posted by jakejagan on 27 July 2010 - 04:14 PM in General Nerf

Great footage in my opinion. For once the camera wasn't looking at the ground the whole time. The war seemed like a great time.

Quick question Zorn, how useful would you say your hopper setup was with the reservoir.

#275762 Ls Internal Help

Posted by jakejagan on 23 May 2010 - 10:40 PM in General Nerf

Generally those screws aren't completely vital because the plastic behind it holds it together. You could use E-putty, which I have done, or reinforce it with metal washers.

#278487 Longshot Breech Questions

Posted by jakejagan on 24 June 2010 - 06:11 PM in Modifications

9/16 is the piece that is 19/32, the barrel is 17/32 and the pusher is 15/32. That is the write-up down sized by one sixe. You could have the pusher be 1/2 in, but there would be more friction.

#280059 Lanard Shotgun Problem

Did you do BW's torsion spring relocation?

#277983 Lanard Shotgun Cpvc Couplered

I fail when it comes to precision, so this mod makes it a load easier. Great Job!!!

#273971 Improving Accuracy Of Guns

Yes, use stefans because they are many times more accurate and are actually cheaper than buying darts from the store.

#282092 Hybrid Hopper, Combines Hopper With Brisc

Wow, that is awesome, I need to make one

#282025 Hybrid Hopper, Combines Hopper With Brisc

Posted by jakejagan on 03 August 2010 - 09:32 PM in Darts and Barrels

I love the streamlined design of the new clip. Would you be able to compare the ranges of a hopper to "THE CHOPPER"?

#289650 How To[mostly] Build An Svt4b

Posted by jakejagan on 01 December 2010 - 06:43 PM in Modifications

Well, if you are using slugs darts, they generally max out at a certain range (about 120 in my range tests).

I own one of these bad boys and It takes about 1-2 pumps LESS than a normal 4b while the pump is in the front.

#294866 How To Add Mega To A Mega Missile.

Pretty slick. Me likey.

How have ranges been compared to your Big Blast modification?

#281525 Homemades Picture Thread

Rogues Hopper:

Close-up on the barrel:

If you cant see, the petg was reamed out with pliers to help dart entry and the pvc was sanded to fit the petg flush.
Posted Image
On top is a 3/4 in ball-valve for easy loading. The colored e-tape is easily removable, but allows for a better grip.

Now for something of mine-ish:
Posted Image

Snap mk5 made by Darth Freyr with a pistol splat attached on the bottom via zipties. The splat acts as a fore-grip and as a second shot. The splat has a cpvc coupler and hits about 65 feet which is plenty for a back-up shot.

#281375 Homemades Picture Thread

Posted by jakejagan on 27 July 2010 - 12:37 PM in Homemades

Well I just got this today and I used it all day at BAFF.

Yup, thats a McNumbers +bow. Uber quality and the grip was supa soft, I had no soreness in my hand. It also came with a foregrip and padding on the stock and grip. Another picture:

The attachments I use are a hopper clip that holds 9 darts or 16 in of polyester.

Ranges=awesome.

Thanks Ryan.

More pictures later

What happens when you have a bunch of old t-shirts that you don't wear anymore?

I turn them into dart pouches of course!

#276426 Homemade Arrows

Posted by jakejagan on 30 May 2010 - 01:36 PM in Darts and Barrels

I agree with Fome, so screw the formulas. Guess and check is the simplest method. I am glad that a good substitute has been created.

Fome, how many wraps of E-tape did you use for the foam? Did you do it in more than one area?

#276431 Homemade Arrows

Posted by jakejagan on 30 May 2010 - 03:03 PM in Darts and Barrels

I'm referring to ONLY using math to get your answer. Now a combination of the two would would provide good results in my opinion.

Fome: Never mind about the E-tape thing.

#278695 Dt3 Mod For N00bz

Nice write-up. It would be nice to know actual ranges, but smacking the wall at 35 ft sounds pretty good.

#275947 Diy: Hopper Clips

Would Slug darts work with this setup?

#274496 Deploy At2k Integration**modular Baby!**

Posted by jakejagan on 10 May 2010 - 11:07 PM in Modifications

OK, I know this sounds noobish, what are general ranges for a singled 2k? I have looked far and wide and I've found numerical ranges.

By the way, this is an excellent mod, makes me want to get a deploy.

#307002 CS-70 Marauder

Posted by jakejagan on 05 November 2011 - 06:42 PM in Modifications

I have a Dremel and loathe using it. It may be a matter of practice, but I think Kit's right - without a steady hand, it's just asking for trouble.

That's why you slow the speed down and take your time removing the plastic.

#292316 Cpvc Couplered Nf

Posted by jakejagan on 06 January 2011 - 12:20 AM in Modifications

Wow, really? How have I not seen this way before? I was cpvc couplering nfs with a full CPVC coupler like in my extended draw nf write-up before jakejagan had the idea to use CPVC end caps with holes drilled into them, but they didn't hold well since they weren't flat so I tried cutting the couplers in half.

I got the idea from Popatachi, who posted in the Mod/PJ thread a while back, so credit goes to him for POSTING it, although it wasn't on a nite-finder, but a splat. You do however have to sand a little bit of the bottom lip of the end so that the gun can close, but then again you can just sand the endcap slightly to fit

Another good thing is to do this:

Posted Image

Tantum did cut a washer to fit, but the washer piece that is on the bottom (where the battery covers screws on) fits perfectly in that space. It gives those areas reinforcement so they wont crack which has happened--to me atleast--before. This was before jb-weld was added bw . The 1st gen also has the fin on the top to stop the Plunger tube from moving around as well.

I add to Blue's comment that no catch reinforcement is needed. I have a everbuilt with a good amount of pre-compression (and before a [k26]) and I was able to throw the blaster on the ground while primed and nothing would go off.

#282088 Community Snap Thread

Posted by jakejagan on 04 August 2010 - 12:11 PM in Homemades

Beaver, an idea that was used with my snap was to put an o-ring on the end of the cpvc tee handle. It should a little bit fatter than the normal o-ring. I'll get a picture of it today. It will help protect the tee from smashing into the rear bushing

I love snaps as well and this thread is a great idea because even though there are great write-ups, somethings aren't explained (which is totally fine, people should be able to solves the problem) well.

What is the advantage of wood plunger rods? Is it the mass, feel?

#267202 Cobra Vs Titan

Posted by jakejagan on 27 February 2010 - 11:46 AM in Modifications

If you are interested in the tank, the cobra tank is about 3x bigger than a titan tank and is more durable because it is meant for higher pressure. Higher pressure=higher range. If you wanted to use it in a war, you would have to shotgun barrel both of them regardless.

#276372 Chicago Epicnerf 2

I apologize if this may seem inappropriate, but a member on youtube (NOT ME) has said that they will be a definite at this war. I post here because he has been validated.

#265608 Bbbb Barrel Material

since your darts fit tight in cpvc, they should be a good airgun fit in PETG.

#253248 Bay Area Nerf War

Posted by jakejagan on 11 October 2009 - 11:10 AM in Nerf Wars

Alright, from the recent failure of a Bay Area war in CA, not Florida, I thought I should make a topic. I am located on the Peninsula, near San Mateo. I don't know any good locations for a war, as I've never been to one, just short fights with my friends. There aren't any age restrictions, I am 15. Uh, yea.. hopefully we can get something going.

i live near san mateo too, we should organize a war

#253247 Bay Area Nerf Off

Posted by jakejagan on 11 October 2009 - 11:09 AM in Nerf Wars

Heifty and I both live in Castro Valley, so we will most likely have it there. There are a few different schools around here that would make excellent Nerf battlefields.

i love in redwood city which is about 90 mins away from where you guys are... when is there gonna be a war cuz i havent heard of any bay area nerfers

#253245 Bay Area Nerf Off
