#83088 Psp Or Xbox 360?

You could always buy a DS, the superior gaming system. :D Both are over rated systems. But if music and movies are your thing, get a PSP.

#83006 Godspell

Posted by z80 on 08 June 2006 - 09:07 PM in Off Topic

OK, here's the scoop:

I'm involved with a high school drama group of about 52 kids that is taking a Tour throughout the Midwest & East Coast. We're performing "Godspell". For those of you unfamiliar with it, it's a play from the '60s about the Gospel according to Matthew, with the classic '60s hippie twist. Our production lasts a total of about 1 hr 45 min. At times, it's a very comedic play, and at others, very dramatic. Below are the locations of our performances. If we're around your area, come and see it. PM me if you are interested and would like further info as to what church, and what time the performance begins.

Friday, June 16th - Park Ridge, IL

Sunday, June 18th - Meriden, CT

Monday, June 19th - Bronx, NYC, NY

Wednesday, June 21st - Bowie, MD

I highly encourage seeing it. You don't have to be religious to enjoy it either. I've had several non-religious friends show up, and they had a great time. It'll be free of charge, but there will be a free-will offering to support our cause. Anywho, let me know via PM if you're interested and I'll get you more details.

~Rings

Where in the bronx, I live right outside the city, and my mom is interested.

Way aead of you, this weekend I went to the west point graduation with my friend and his family. (His dad was a corporal and had graduated from WP.) The museum was awesome too, they had mp40's, Thompsons, bazookas, colts, lugers, etc. They even had a renault tank. It was so awesome.

#82314 Fbr, Backer Rod

Ummm, FBR stands for Foam backer rod. So calling it backer rod is completely understandable.

#81878 Valve Question

Posted by z80 on 15 May 2006 - 08:05 PM in Homemades

I thought most were 18 volts. Whatever. Thanks for the help, I'll try to get some in progress pics up soon.

#81794 Angels Bbb

Posted by z80 on 14 May 2006 - 09:53 AM in Modifications

Well for me, the cassete clip wont fit stefans well. Also, I always use the right guard extreme gel deo, and its the perfect size. I actually mostly fixed the jamming problem by attaching a peice from an LBB barrel cut in half to cradle the first bullet. This makes the stagger less extreme, and distrbutes force better.

#81749 Valve Question

Posted by z80 on 13 May 2006 - 12:04 PM in Homemades

Sorry for the double post, but I have another question. I was at homedepot, and they didnt have the valve you showed me, so I got another one. But I didn't realize that it had to have 24 volts (ouch). I was wondering if it would be ok with 27 volts? (IE 3 9 volt batteries)

Hey, is that you lex? Its Al! I've been woring on a deo clip, but I have a problem. A lot of the time my darts became staggered and then jam. Any fixes for this?

#81107 Valve Question

Posted by z80 on 02 May 2006 - 02:45 PM in Homemades

Oh yeah, you're right, that looks kinda annoying. I think I'll use the batteries, I've got two 9.6 volt batteries I got at radioshack on sale, and take out a cell. Should last pretty long without recharging. Maybe I could build a small crank charger just in case...

#81077 Valve Question

Posted by z80 on 01 May 2006 - 08:49 PM in Homemades

Well batteries would be less reliable and more expensive. Thanks for the advise though.

#81063 Valve Question

Posted by z80 on 01 May 2006 - 05:07 PM in Homemades

I'm starting work on a pneumatic long range weapon, and I have two questions.
1. Is This a good valve for a homemade. (toro 3/4 inch sprinkler valve) Also, does it have a lever for the manual bleed, or a screw?
2. Are pvc threads the same as the threads on a sprinkler valve?
Thank you experts in advance!

Mike, you werent supposed to give out that address. I am changing the referal as we speak.
Our clan is fairly large. For games, I think we'll play multi team (3 or more teams fighting to get the most kills.)

#79676 Crayola Help...

#79558 Titan Air Tank

Posted by z80 on 11 April 2006 - 08:27 AM in General Nerf

The titan's airtank is very large making the gun extremely powerful and banned from wars. I like my titan and if I ever will be able to go to a war I would want to use it. So I'm working on a semi auto titan that has a clip and all that good stuff. I should get about 6-9 shots in with ranges of at2k's on one airtank fill.

I'll just tell you that its not as easy as you think. Just look at the semi auto nerf guns. They require a bladder and complicated valves. I suggest just using an AT3k.

#79492 Buzz Bee New Guns!

Posted by z80 on 10 April 2006 - 07:10 PM in General Nerf

No lanard is there own company. Definately a LBB knockoff. Tommy 20 looks ok but battery powered guns suck. The mustang actually might be promising. Notce the cocking mechanism is similar to a Maxshot. That thing looks more like a force gun than anything. I think the musang six might be a good one. But then again buzzbee has dissapointed us many times over.

Well, we've all seen how shitty those shells are, but if you brass that thing, you may be able to get some good ranges.

#79400 At2k Barrel Relocation

Posted by z80 on 10 April 2006 - 09:07 AM in Modifications

Glue a coupler directly on to the chamber, and sand out the shell as needed. That way you have a removable, and straight (in reference to the chamber) barrel.

~ompa

Thats what I do, it also allows for interchangable barrels and turrets. It helps if you wrapp some E-tape around the coupler and pump tube holder. Also, put something in the coupler in the non used side, so you dont lose more power that way.

Nice job, last night, I made a spring fed version of these clips, that uses a double shot shell ejection spring. It actually works alright, now I just need to make a good bolt.

You could also mount it to a car or maybe a golf cart, then attach it to the electrical system. Looks like a nice little design, hopefully you'll make it, and blow us away.

Nice job, looks pretty cool.Maybe on one of your planes you could attach a camera and use it for recon.

#78732 Clan Directory

Posted by z80 on 04 April 2006 - 04:19 PM in Nerf Wars

I'm the "Ambassador" of my clan I guess. I'm one of the four "Team Leaders" so I've got some power. We're a group of friends in westchester started, what, two months ago? I forget. But we're getting better and buidling up our arsenal. We have about 26 members at last count, and we just got two new members, so we're fairly big. We usually have weekly wars and on vacations we have them more. We are mostly in the 14-15 range with one 13 year old and one 10 year old (At least he listens to the leaders.) Our clan name is "Nightshift" and you can contact me thoguh PM's or email me at Snowwhizii@gmail.com. That's about it.

#77433 New York Nerf War

Posted by z80 on 24 March 2006 - 06:21 PM in Nerf Wars

Sounds good, the firefly is easy, but really annoying sometimes, like the fourty bazillion screws and the invisble screws in the rear. ANd we have really revamped our people in the last couple weeks, we now have three RF20's, and three AT2k's, and a bunch of other stuff.
