Quick Question About Leds...

29 December 2010 - 12:11 AM

Hey, long time since I've been active here. Must have been at least 2 years. Anyways, after a long break, I'm getting back into modding Nerf guns, and I have a quick question for those of you who are more experienced than I am in electronics. I want to mod and paint a Stampede, but in addition to that, I want to hook it up with some LEDs. I'm not very experienced in this, but I know I'm capable of setting up the LEDs on a separate battery. However, I'm wondering if it would be possible for me to have them get energy from the same batteries that power the motor? This would make changing batteries much easier for when they ran out, etc.

My only worries are that I'm unsure of if the LEDs can be powered by D batteries without blowing up or anything, and also how I'll wire that without screwing up the wiring for the motor.

Thoughts?

Hey Guys!

Hello Fellow Nerfers!

I sure haven't been active for a while now. I just thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing. I haven't been online much for a while as I am in Norway with my family 24/7 for all of Christmas, and we don't have very good internet connections. I've gotten myself a Macbook, as an early Christmas present, and using it i've found another great hobby. When the weather isn't great, and I have no nerf guns to modify, what do I do? THIS. Stop motion animation. I use a program called iStopMotion to get the pictures, and iMovie to edit the string of pictures into a short movie. I'm not very good yet, but i really enjoy it. Does anybody else do any animation like this? What do you think? Anyways, hope to be a little more active in the future when I get back to the states.

Poll-posting Tutorial

18 August 2007 - 10:38 PM

Ever since I registered as a Nerfhaven member, every few weeks (or at least it seems so) somebody would make a poll that didn't include the poll format. After searching and not finding one I give you:

THE POLL-POSTING TUTORIAL!©
IN TEN EASY STEPS

NEW! With color coding!

Instructions: Do whatever the steps say, but only in the area that is boxed with the same color as the step number.

Note: The steps are under each picture.

So lets get started.
